When our daughter was 2 we were on holiday at the Lake District. My husband had to carry her for the almost 3 hrs walk! The stroller we have is not suitable for the walk. And boy, me and hubby quarrel during our vacation because of her. Most of our plans were not initialised, but nevertheless it was a good experience for us. We're trying to phase out the stroller as she will be 4 in Oct. But we will still bring it with us if we're going on a long walk around town, to save us hearing the whinging and carrying her.
