Hi MB,

I think bullying is WRONG period. Despite what the teacher says, something needs to be done to stop it. I think you should have the teacher arrange a parent teacher meeting especially with the parent of the other child. The kid will not understand what he is doing unless someone says something or disciplines him. I'm not saying physically discipline him of course, but have a talk with him.

Some kids are just plain mean and brutal. I recall being bullied as a child too. It was not fun and nothing really stopped him. One day we became friends oddly enough. But boys will be boys. They do what they want. All you can do is make sure the teacher pays attention and does NOT let it happen again. This can become a serious matter. I'm not trying to lecture you of course.

And, you're right about telling Chloe to call you immediately if it happens again. She should tell the teacher immediately too. Maybe she should avoid the kid altogether to avoid this from happening again.

I hope it won't happen again. Good luck.

If you don't comfortable with the teacher's intervention, maybe you should ask to speak with the principal. Personally, I don't think it is a good idea to speak to the boy's parents because they may think that their boy is an angel and would never do this to anyone or worst... scold you for telling a lie. You know how chao kuang they can get la... So, best to leave this matter to the school. If cannot get the teacher to look into this, get the principal to help. If the principal also not helping, then bo bian lor... u try to talk to the boy's parents. Good luck!

See I told ya, maybe should just go and talk to the boy yourself. Okaylah don't threaten to skin him as I had suggested. LOL Ask nicely whether he can take care of Chloe for you when she's at school. Some kids, if given responsibility and trust that they'd do it well, they would feel appreciated and perhaps that would change them.
