I wrote about some awesome “xiao” neighbours i have right..?? just a few weeks ago.. who rode on his lawn mower .. at midnite..?? Yes.. !! that ultra “xiao” one.. who cannot seems to get enough of mowing their lawn .. during the summer. .and now winter. So this year’s summer project.. we hope to get some fence installation done. In fact, we had wanted to do it .. a few years ago.. but decided not to.. because we didn’t wanna appear to be hostile. But seeing that they are getting more and more “xiao” every year.. i think we have to protect ourselves.. and our property.. plus our privacy. Wish us luck!!

With Chloe being so sick for so long, I had wished that I was the one sick instead of her. And guess what..?? after 8 months of having my hysterectomy done.. and an emergency laporoscopic surgery due to bowel obstruction (so they said) .. i started spotting today. Of course, that freaked me right out.. afterall, where is the blood coming from right..?? Of course, i went into a paranoia mode.. which is understandable. So be careful what you wished for eh. I will update all about my situation .. in the meantime, i am just taking it easy. And yes, i have an appt .. to see my “new” gynae .. on the 17th Mar.

Yes.. 4 nites in a row.. and i’m still on the floor. But last nite.. was the last..!!!! my back screams for help..!!!!!! Yes.. ! each nite.. she would wake up at 3.48am.. and give me all sorts of excuses. The first nite.. i can understand.. because she was all stuffed up.. but last nite.. was pure silliness. I really donch mind sleeping on the floor.. if it wasn’t so cool.. and drafty on the floor.. or if it wasn’t so hard on my back. Nope.. i donch have a single mattress to lay down.. therefore.. it’s hard. We’ll see what happens tonite.

Chloe just can’t seems to shake off that fever and sniffles. She came home from Ciarra’s birthday.. and started having the sniffles.. that developed into a low grade fever overnite. Stayed up half the nite.. because she couldn’t breathe properly .. thus disturbing her sleep.. and couldn’t get up on time.. to go to school. We gave her some medication.. stayed at home.. for half a day .. and went to the store for just a bit. Poor gal..!!

Yes..! i got kicked to the floor to sleep by the brat of course. She woke up at 3.48am.. and wanted to sleep in my bed. After much coaxing .. still she wanted to go to my bed.. so i let her.. but an hour later.. found her kicking me and pushing me to the very end of the bed.. and i gave up .. and got up. I landed on the floor .. sleeping on her make shift bed instead .. for the rest of the night.. without much rest. I guess if this carries on.. i won’t need any weight loss pill to stay slim eh.

On Ground Hog day this year, Chloe’s pre-school did craft work .. and she learned all about Ground Hog day . .and what it is all about. I’ve noticed that she comes back home with more stories to tell..and shows us what she had learned for the day. She even told me that her present teachers are awesome.. because they hugged her when she was sad… muahahahha!!! yes.. my daughter.. is a very loving kid. Yes..! i really think the new teachers are doing wonders with my kid.

That was what Chloe’s school friend mother had said to me. You see, I am not the only one who migrated from abroad. We have an Australian mummy here.. and a Europe daddy .. and also a U.K daddy and another American husband here. And it seems like all had gone home for a short break and/or holiday recently or planning to. So, when Chloe’s school friend mummy came over the other day, she said.. my turn should be soon eh..? In which the “ang moh” grouchly agreed .. and said .. he would start looking for travel deals. Muahahahah!!!

It had been quite a month.. starting just before the Chinese New Year. Chloe is finally back to almost normal.. and i say .. almost because she is still hacking. After enduring this back bolt of illness, we resorted to using the baby monitor once again .. so we can hear her.. when she does get bad dreams.. or if she felt like throwing up. Yes.. call me paranoid.. or whatever.. that’s alright.. i do what is right by me and my daughter.

From waking up with high fever to screaming and inconsolable.. and of course, we had to run the store irregardless.. i think it had been really hard on the “ang moh” .. but he took it all in.. and never whine a single time. Exhausted as you can see we are by now.. we hope Chloe will not be this sick anymore. Oh, did i tell you she also lost one of her caps (teeth) .. while she was ill..?? and refused to eat after that..?

We do get help from Keegan .. but when Chloe is ill.. i want to be able to take care of her myself.. and i don’t want Kate to get sick either. So we try not to have Kate over so often. Someone had written to ask me why i haven’t been writing a lot lately and not even the adverts. They want to know if it was because of the changes in the different companies that we are working for. i stopped for a moment .. and thought about it - and wrote a short note back that Chloe was ill .. and i have to cook 2 meals a day .. even though she isn’t eating a lot and I have to help out at our store.. even though .. some thinks i am there for the convenience and fresh air. On top of all .. i do clean the store and the house on my own yer know.

Still on thinking.. if you must know and yes.. i’ve been working with different advertisers.. and yes.. even though there are changes.. i never looked back.. but moved forward.. and worked on other stuff instead. And no.. i’m not like some “guru/pro - blogger” who keeps showing everyone how much they earn .. and so forth.. and so forth.. i prefer .. to experiment it on my own.. and if it works.. i’ll then share it amongst those that needs help. But having said all the above, no amount of money matters as much as my daughter. If she is ill, no amount in the world.. is worth the effort or will make me leave her side. It is important to know your priorities.. and i’ve moved on to greener pastures .. have you ..??

We called several schools to make an appointment to visit these school for Chloe’s admission for Grade Primary in the Fall. Yes.. i hear yer say.. all over again.. ? Yes.. but this year .. we are doing it earlier than we did last year.. that way.. we can check out other options. We also registered for Chloe to go for her dancing classes.. but have yet to go .. because she was still hacking bad .. a few days ago. We are also gonna try not to miss any of the orientation .. because it is really important that we do it right .. by the bat.

Chloe will turn 5.5 when she goes to school this fall.. but she may not go back to the old school.. due to various reasons.. that we do not want to encounter again. All of us wants what is best for our kids.. and it’s nothing against the old school.. it’s just that we weren’t prepared for what they were asking of our kid. Wish us luck eh.

After a month of caring for a sick kid.. and sending her to the hospital for countless of times.. we finally had a weekend.. whereby .. we can clean the whole house. Chloe was still sick .. but some cleaning had to be done.. but we ended up doing more.. because i was on the go.

The “ang moh” help with washing the toilet.. and the rest i did .. and then he cooked for the kid.. and kept her busy.. so that i can continue doing my cleaning. Afterwhich, we finally hung up stuff.. that we had bought years ago.. to decorate the house. Finally, after living in the house for 4 yrs.. we finally got to decorate the house.

This was actually meant for the living room.. but the brat claimed it… for her own.. so this is in her room right now.

We kept Chloe home from school .. since her fever came back again .. last Wednesday. We figured it would be better that way.. so she can clear all her viruses.. and it sure wasn’t easy .. keeping her busy.. and entertained. Kate came after school to help.. but Chloe was extra clingy .. and wouldn’t let go of me.. and let me do some work .. but i went home with her.. because i didn’t want to upset her.. since she only got well this week. She isn’t really eating much still.. and we had to cancel her dental appointment for her broken caps.. because she was still hacking her lungs out. Hopefully she feels better next week.

We did managed to get an appointment to visit Chloe’s family doctor today.. I didn’t go .. because i had to look after the store. The doctor sent her for an x-ray immediately .. and will be going for blood and urine test next week. We figured that if her fever doesn’t come back.. we donch have to do the blood and urine.. but we’ll see.

PB said.. Chloe did good.. for her ex-ray.. and didn’t fuss too much about it. I can only thank God for that.. because usually she doesn’t like to try new things. We are so not looking forward to the blood test.

Chloe was watching a tv show with me today… and they had a scene celebrating the english New Year. Chloe asked .. what is Happy New Year..?? in which i replied.. it’s means.. it’s a celebration of a new year. She replied.. “is it .. Gong Hei Fatt Choi ..?? ” in which i replied.. yes.. it’s the English ppl’s Gong Hei Fatt Choi. Muaaahahahahah!!! The things they come up with eh?

She is a little better today.. but darn whiny lah..!! we had to do grocery shopping quickly today.. but she wasn’t a happy trooper i tell yer. Even with the promotional bags of goodies that the mall was giving out for Valentine’s day.. she wasn’t gonna say “thank you”. We went by to Mr Choo’s restaurant to give him a basket of “kum” .. but Chloe wasn’t gonna say .. “gong hei fatt choi”.

I know many of you are wondering why I haven’t updated. For the last month, Chloe had been plagued with a fever .. that comes on and off. Today, it happened again.. she woke up at 4am.. and came to my bedroom.. and fever started again. Of course, i went into a panic mode.. but stayed calmed because of her. Her fever lasted for 24hrs.. and she was darn hot .. 103F. She haven’t eaten anything much .. and appetite is still not as good. Next week, we are bringing her in for a thorough check up.. i’ll keep everyone posted.

The brat is sometimes so funny. She was having a conversation with the babysitter, where they were discussing about going to college. Chloe whined and said she doesn’t wanna go to college because she loves us. .and don’t want to leave home. In which, the babysitter replied to appease her.. that she doesn’t need to go away for college because we do have a community college called Burridge. So Chloe said.. ok.. i’ll go to Burridge then. In which the babysitter said… then you can’t be staying in hotels or going to the city because you have to stay home. In which the brat staying crying and said.. ” I wanna stay in the hotel..!!” *slap forehead*
