Monday Morning After Birthday Party
Sorry.. i had forgotten to transfer the party pictures into my USB key today.. and came to work without it. This morning.. we still had a little bit of trouble.. but thank God.. it only lasted for like 30mins. We had printed out another picture of me .. yours truly.. the pretty mama… and put it in a new photo frame .. that i had bought in the Christian book store… which says.. “I LOVE MY MOMMY”.
We sent her to school.. promising her to see her at recess time at 10.15am.. and when we visited.. she was alright.. she hugged us a few times.. and went back to class. If it stops raining.. i will go for a walk.. and visit her in school as well. I know some parents might think we are being excessive protective *shrug* .. but whatever works for us.. and the kid.. is good for us, we just want her to stop crying so much and hurt her nose, eyes and throat. I’m sure.. every parents have good experiences.. and good advices.. but note that all kids are different .. so we handle it as best as we can.

Oh……so sorry to hear you are having going to school woes…You know, this is a personality thing. I have been observing this for the last 2 years because Tee after 2 years of school, STILL whines and cries sometimes. At one stage it was everyday for 2 weeks. It is and off and on thing. I am used to it already. But I certainly wouldn’t stop her because in my case, I think Tee is just too smart at being manipulative. And if I give in, she would only do it more.
In your case, I would suggest a lot of talking, a lot of reasoning, and maybe gently ease her into it. Work with the school and see if you could perhaps work out a shorter session initially, then a sligtly longer one and then full school. But you must stay firm, no matter what, she HAS to go to school. They don’t like it cuz school has strict rules, home doesn’t. The moment the school started being a bit more firm with her, Tee started to hate school. Initially it was just separation anxiety.
Haiyah….these kids. Out of the 50 kids I know, only 3 have this problem of manjaness…..cry like mad to get their way, and Tee is one of them. *sigh*
Do whatever works best for you….it’s really heart wrenching, isn’t it? I know the feeling
*hugs to you and C*
