Tattoos & Kids

Would you let your kids have a tattoo.. ?? that’s the main question of my post. What is your take on this subject.. ?? as for myself.. as modern as I am.. i don’t think i would like the idea of my kid having a tattoo. Yes.. no harm done.. but what is the purpose of a tattoo anyways..? to beautify oneself..?? by destroying your body with foreign ink.. and chemicals..?? I have nothing against .. adults having tattoos put onto their body. .mind you .. afterall.. they are old enough to think for themselves ( or so you wanna think ) but some adults are much, much more childish about than the kids around here.

But yes.. if your 18 yrs old wanted a tattoo.. what is your answer or response..?? shocked..?? amused..?? or utterly disappointed.. or confused..?? or you are cool with it..?? Me .. i never liked pain.. so i cannot understand.. why someone would go hurt themselves with some ugly and permanent stuff. As for me.. when Chloe is 18 and wants a tattoo.. i will definitely try to dissuade her.. and suggest a removable one..?? She might agree.. and she might not.. but i’m gonna darn try real hard.. to not let her… without getting into a fight with her. As for Katelynn.. our babysitter.. the first one.. i was cool with it.. the second one. . i wasn’t too pleased.. but she ain’t my kid.. so i can’t smack her over the head… muahahhahahaha!!!

  3. I won’t want my kids to get a tattoo just to look cool. But I’m ok if the tattoo means something to them. Like rite now, I’m considering getting another meaningful tattoo. Been thinking about getting “Gem of Life” tattooed on my chest.

ps: Ur entertainment blog rocks! Thanks to ur links, I’ve been catching up on the show.

  4. I don’t mind if it’s for body art and it’s not freaking ugly. But no nose or tongue studs. Those are awful and unhygenie!

  6. I am 16 and have one tattoo. i got it when i was 15. I means “Mom” in chinese and i got it on my right shoulder blade. I am getting another one next week and i am getting the chinese symbols for “Family” on my wrist. I have done some serious consideration and that is waht i want. If she wants one and you would be at least somewhat ok with it, i would reccommend sitting down with her, talking to her about what she wants, then both of u decide somewhere to put it. I would reccomment somewhere that is covered. Thats what i did and now my 2nd one is going to be very visible unless im wearing something long sleeve of a watch. Just talk to her, when parents tell their kids that they cant do something, that makes then want to go ouyt and do it, so if u REALLY dont want her to have one then tell her she can get one, but you have to approve of it. And if you really want to me “mean” (as she may put it) just turn down every option.

  7. I am 16 and i have two tattoos! I personally think there is nothing wrong with them, as long as they mean something. Both of my tattoos mean something to me and i know most people say”you’ll regret that later”. Well im not going to regret it my father passed away when i was 12 and both of my tattoos resemble him. When i grow up and my kids want tattoos i wouldent say no unless it was something totally out of the question.
