I believe it's just Chloe being shy or nervous and not because she doesn't know those answers. Not forgetting that she has just started school so the environment and the pple are still new to her. The teacher ought to cut her some slack!

Sometimes a child may feel insecure or uncomfortable when the teacher directs questions to her only, instead of to a group of children. So, when that happens, even when they know the answers, they may just choose to say "I don't know" for convenient sake. I believe Chloe is still getting to know the teacher and is probably too shy to answer the qns.

As for the things that the teacher asked Chloe, we parents need to teach la! :P It's for their own good. They need to know who to contact in case of emergency (911, home address, tel #). So, you better start teaching her now.
