Update : I had about 2000+ entries to read from my bloglines… and i’m now down to 940. So yes.. i’ve left alot of footprints everywhere. If i haven’t visited, please know that it is because i’m still recovering from my surgeries..and can’t sit too much. Lying down and reading blogs . ain’t fun.. coz’ i sometimes.. like to look at the food pictures a little more clearly. But i promised to visit asap. She is just growing up so fast..!! only 4.5 yrs old.. but going on 18..!! she would put on make up for Keegan, her babysitter. But she would indulge her… and she wants to put on make up too.. if we let her.
She had asked several times.. if she could have some make up too.. for children. .. but i said no. She didn’t argue.. but just sounded and looked disappointed.
In fact, she did Keegan’s make up pretty well too.
Handsome right..???!!!?? muahahhaha!!! no lah..!! my g/fs asked me.. wah.!!! how come you like hairy man..???!!!?? but i do..!! what can i do right..?? plus i cannot be with someone who is smaller size than I.. else i donch feel protected leh. PB can be very stylo malo if he wants to be… and he is not into fashion at all.. or dressing up well. He just wears whatever.. and not into pleasing the other person. His attitude very “apa tidak” attitude when it comes to looks. Fortunately, for me.. he is like that.. else i gotta dress up every day every minute “mati lah”. So tell me.. what type of man is yours..?? must know how to drive..?? must wear branded stuff..?? must know how to hold a conversation..?? hairy..?? sexy..?? botak..?? come .. share, share.
Well… i haven’t grown any taller.. ! but i’ve seen the surgeon … dr murphy.. for a follow up for my operation. And Chloe is silly with her fries.. and even though she now eats nuggets.. she will only eat at the most 1.5 and the whole bag of fries. And of course during the weekend besides the beach with the brat, my mother in law also indulged me .. with my photo snapping of their organic vegies and fruits. And I had to say my mind.. about elite blogger Xia Xue too. And in the meantime.. can’t get enough of Moonlight Resonance and wondering if i should just download it and share it with everyone on my blogs..?? And very busy at work. .although no sign of Bin Ladin Lookalike… and he didn’t come in with another $50 for PB. That kinda sums up my week. What about yours..??
A long time girlfriend of mine, has moved from Australia back to USA and then from USA to Singapore… and from Singapore back to Connecticut.. and from Connecticut to San Fransisco. And she is moving again .. because her husband had another offer with another bigger company. This time to New York and I guess she is using New York Moving Company to help her relocate. The last time, I know she did it on her own.. and she was pretty pregnant then . and she wasn’t really happy at all. This time, she was just gonna leave it to the professionals.
Ok..! i’m really sorry.. but you will be hearing alot about my quest to find a car for myself.. in the next few months. Now that my health is on the road to recovery and my immigration papers all done and settled, it’s time i become more mobile..! Our current’s car a/c compressor isn’t the greatest, so i’ll be sure to check that out first when i buy my previously owned car.
In another 1.5 weeks .. we will be going thru’ some separation anxiety with the brat and I, yours truly. Yes, for those who are not aware of this .. my brat is a BIG gal now.. !! she is going to school… but not even 5 years old. She is going to real school.. not kindergarten or pre-school or nursery or day care. She will be in French Immersion .. and will be in Grade Primary. We sent her for the “ready, get set, go” program earlier this month..and she did wonderfully… but not without some separation from me and not her. Yes.. ! she was the brave one.
Advice from some blogging mummies that i picked up on .. was not to show that you were anxious nor worried.. and to let her go to school happily. So i put on a brave front.. and let her go happily to school. My mother in law had teased me about that.. before she left for school.. but we did pretty well. So if you have kids going to school this fall, this is my survival guide for just cross reference.
A few days before school start. .drive her to school.. . and tell her what is going to happen.. what time she will be waking up.. what time she will be going to school. .and so forth. Walk her thru’ the routine.. and of course tell her how much fun it is going to be.. and that you will be right outside waiting for her.. once school is over.. .and you will be there to pick her up.. ON TIME. More tomorrow.. eh..
In a town full of fishermen it is not surprising to see trucks on the road all the time. But I guess it shouldn’t be of any surprise to me since the trucks are used to nets and lobster pots down to the wharf and back. I have also heard stories of our fishermen paying for their new GMC trucks in cash. I’m pretty sure owners at New GMC Manchester NH would love some customers like this too.
I know of someone who could use a new GMC truck instead of his old beat up one! And that is Grampie..! I bet my father-in-law would love the all new GMC Sierra, it’s quiet and has a spacious interior so delivering vegies and fruits to our local stores would be a lot easier and more enjoyable. Plus with the Active Fuel Management it must mean that it is not quite that expensive to run as compared to that old beat up truck he now uses. And Richard, my brother-in-law, had mentioned about the towing capacity of this all new Sierra and how it can handle just about any job. It would be very handy for his current project of building his own cabin.
Oh boy..!! this must be the second time i saw PB carrying another kid .. besides our own brat. Priceless eh..?? Isn’t Ciara cute..?? Ciara is Keegan’s niece.. she is like 6 months old. .and she is growing prettier everyday. For a man who doesn’t like kids.. except his own.. i would say he was doing pretty nicely eh.
Chloe can’t get enough of Ciara, she loves her so much.. she must visit her.. every chance she gets. Too bad .. i can’t give her another brother or sister. I bet she would be a good che-che (older sister). Chloe bought the red blouse that Ciara was wearing in this picture. We were at Superstore.. and she said.. “we have to get this for Ciara..!!! x2 ” .. muaahahahah!! it was funny.. seeing her so in love with baby Ciara.
We got a call from Chloe’s school on Monday and you wouldn’t believed who called. HER PRINCIPAL..!!! wow..!! awesome eh..?? i donch remember ever my principal calling my parents. .unless i was in trouble.. or they thought that i had a contagious disease (that would be another story for another day).
Anyhoooo..!! impressed i was lah..!! sauku (mountain tortoise) like that right..?? but coming from Asia hor. .where the teachers and principals are considered Gods of your child’s life .. you kinda need to “humpu bodek” (brown nose/kiss their ass) them as long as you are in their school, so this was really pleasant lah.
The principal had called to inform us what to bring with Chloe on her first day of “real” school.. and a few more instructions. .and even asked if we have any other questions. Awesome right..?? You tell me lah..! where lah .. in Asia.. you get a principal like that one…?? So i’m pretty pleased .. in fact more than pretty pleased. What about your school experience..?? wanna share with me..?
We currently have a Ford Focus and in another few more months, our 5 yrs of paying for it will be over. PB is looking forward to enjoying the car finally and of course having the extra cash every month as well. But we also know we need another car now that the kid is going to school this fall. I grew up watching Mazda cars outside my grandfather’s house and am no stranger to it. Yes, it is a Japanese car and the Japanese do manufacture tons of them every year, but they are a good car and I like the styles. When I was way younger I wanted to own a Mazda RX7 but of course now at 43 this is a different story altogether.

If you ever meet my brat, you will know that she is such a joy to be with 90% of the time. The 10% .. she is very bratty. That is why we called her MonsterBrat..! We do count our blessings.. although i have to remind PB that every so often because even though she sleeps late still, she does sleep the whole nite.. most nites. Given such .. we shouldn’t complained so much about the “if only”. I try not to compare her with other kids.. because my grandmother used to say.. ” yan pei yan, pei sei yan” - direct translation.. comparing one for another, another means no good stuff will come outta it. Ok.. ok..!! not exactly that either.. but you get the drift.
Basically, she is very mild.. and takes “no” very well.. and i’m not just saying it…you can ask Keegan.. and she will agree with me. She doesn’t out of the store.. at the sight of just anyone.. or anything .. even though our door is always open. Never break stuff in the store.. or at home.. and she picks up 50% of the time. And thinks she helps me with washing up.. and cooking and cleaning the house. So yes..!! we can’t really complain eh..?
I am quite amused yet a wee bit disturbed when i see how some ppl would write the stuff they normally wouldn’t .. if they weren’t trying to make a few bucks on the net and to be “famous”. There is one particular blog I don’t visit nor read no more. Why..?? lets just say we have different values and to me it is definitely not worth writing those stuff just to drive traffic to your blogs.
It is nice to be known as the famous blogger or the blogger who makes the most money .. etc. But the money that some “famous” and “self-proclaimed” pro-blogger is actually terribly peanuts. I know that some ppl loved to be known or rather boast but what is the price are you paying for this so-called fame..?? 5 yrs down the road.. can you really face your children and say that it was alright to write all those stuff .. on the net..?? What is your price of fame..?? I think if i had to resort to do what one blogger did to create traffic and fame.. it would be a price too high. It’s alright .. if I am an unknown blogger and not famous .. i rather like the way things are.. as long as I don’t have to wake up each morning.. and wonder what hate mails I might be getting or someone announcing to the public that they are planning to chop you to pieces or kidnap your kids.
So what is your price of fame..?? how far would you go.. to make yourself or perceived yourself as being the famous and the elite…??
When it comes to cars, no one can dispute that the Mercs is one of the best in town. One of the very first cars that I drove was a Mercedes Benz C Class C180 and after driving something like that, you know that you can never drive a smoother machine. I’m sorry if I sound biased, but truth be told I would buy a Mercs anytime if I could afford it. This is the first time this summer.. that the brat is out on the beach with Grammie. Port Maitland Beach is very beautiful.. and not so crowded. I remembered the first time chloe was at the beach when she was like 2.5 yrs old.. and she refused to go on the sand at all. She has come a long way. Now she loves the sand. .but needed abit of coaxing from Grammie to go into the waters. I was never closed to my grandparents like Chloe is now and I want to make sure that my in laws are in her life.. because i know how much i had yearned for mine. That is why . .i always call my in laws up.. to let them know if the brat was sick or just about anything. My in laws prolly think i’m crazy by now.. but oh well.. that’s my way of wanting them in the brat’s life.

Francine had mentioned something about her husband saying to the car sales man.. that if she was happy .. everyone would be.. .muahhahahaha!!! with a funny face at that. I can just imagine.. Derrick doing that. But PB was very quick to reply to that .. “if i had done that.. i would be so bitched at for the next 3 days.” .. muahahhahahaha!!! which brings me back to why i wrote this… all because of what Sesame Seed wrote on bad mouthing the spouse, very interesting..!! do you bad mouth your spouse..??
The Toyota Camry has come a long way, I am sure you remember your first one, the squarish looking kinda tin box that everyone was making fun of all those years ago. 1988 was the time I drove my first Camry and don’t you laugh at me now, it was still one of the best car I had that didn’t give me a lot of road trouble.. and it didn’t need a lot of gas. I was pretty happy with it. But looking at the current Camry, it sure looks awesome and stylish and is definitely something that I can see myself driving in, not afraid of being laughed at by my peers.

We’ve always believed in buying quality stuff for the brat. We ourselves can use generic stuff.. but when it came to the brat.. we only buy the best. I felt kinda sad.. when I hear Keegan’s sister in law said.. that she cannot buy better stuff for her baby.. because her child benefit only allow her to buy no brand stuff. No wonder, she never did seems interested when i showed her the strollers that i would use for her baby.. a few weeks ago.
We had wanted to go for a short vacation .. if not for my surgeries.. and i’m still recovering from it. PB had gotten a set of Titleist golf for Christmas.. and when we tried to explain to the brat .. that we won’t be going for a golf vacation as planned, she had an answer to comfort us. She said “it’s alright mum, papa can play golf here.. and it can be counted as a vacation too” muahahah!! afterall, we live behind a golf club.
What a week I had ..! trying to recover from my surgeries.. and yet gotta deal with the likes of Bin Ladin lookalike..! Yes.. !! you heard me right..!! For those who knows me.. you would know how crazy and mad i can get… when it comes to dealing with this town. .and “some” great ppl. From a chicken shit for a neighbour to now.. a Bin Ladin lookalike at our store.. who wants to bring the cops to our store to SHUT US DOWN..!! Read all about it in my business blog eh.
Yes..! i’m diabetic for those who don’t already know. But having diabetes is not the end of the world.. and it doesn’t mean that you have to turn down desserts either. there are healthy ways to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours. And there is no need to feel guilty every time you salivate over cakes, pies, parfaits and puddings. There is no absolute .. no-nos.. for people with diabetes. I was at the Bank of Montreal this afternoon and met a Chinese couple and their son from New Jersey (I kid you not). They were originally from Malaysia and it is always good to see an Asian face in town because you get to chat in Chinese and it’s great to somewhat connect to home. Some mothers say stuff about their kids.. and how they punished their kids.. and how bad they are.. and how they drive them crazy at times. Sure it ain’t perfect all the time.. but I think I have it alot easier than most moms because i’ve got loads of help.. from PB .. and our babysitter. On top of everything.. the lil’ brat.. wouldn’t do the things you say no.. even to eating candies or chocolates. If you donch believe me.. you can email her babysitter.. Keegan.. and ask her. She was sick today.. and i offered her some popsicles.. and she said to me.. “my daddy said.. i can’t have anymore junk food”… a matter of factly way .. to me and keegan.She uses words like “awesome” .. and “cool”.. when she plays her webkinz and buy stuff with the money she worked for on the game. You tell me how not to be proud and smiling everyday lah.
My first time wearing sandals this summer.. i thought it was a good idea.. to take a picture of my family and I together. Nice way to remind myself.. what we mean to each other.. and have some fun.. looking outta the box. I can never ask for a better family. We’ll always be there for each other.. and count our blessings. What about you..?? Are you as grateful as I am .. for having our family together..?
When you think of a Cadillac, you can’t help but think of quality and for me at least, the movie “Grease” immediately comes to mind. Yes! I saw that movie in the theater 8 times! Yes, you can call me crazy. But my grandfather used to drive a Cadillac and he sure loved that “thing”… that he called his wife (bless his soul), therefore I can identify with a Cadillac. Thank God..!! we are done with the 2 needles that Chloe needed before going to school. We want to think that we are that kinda modern parents… that let the kid know what to expect..and why we are doing certain things. In other words.. we like the “reasoning” part of bringing our kid up.
So 1.5 weeks before the needles.. we started painting the scenario to her.. and explaining to her.. why she had to have it.. and how many days more. Of course, she would bargain.. and she didn’t liked it.. but she didn’t kicked up a big fuss either… because we just didn’t pushed it.. we went with the flow.. and we tried to give her examples of other kids she knows that had it done.
The day arrived.. and yes.. she did puked after the needles .. and there was some crying.. but i really think she did very well. The crying didn’t last for more than a min and another minute of puking.. and she was calmed down.. and she played with the toys.. and all. Thank you all for being so nice.. for saying i have great skin.. and great finger nails.. yer all are too nice lah.. but truth be told.. the pictures you see below.. are completely make up free..! i haven’t put on make up for more than 8 yrs now. After Chloe was born. .sometimes.. i’m in such a hurry.. i forget to even put on cream on my face. And recently because of my surgery.. i really haven’t taken care of myself at all. So yes.. my face is completely naked.. of make up or anything else.. except for some lip gloss and a dab of color.

For those who knows our brat .. Chloe.. you would know that we have a hard time feeding her any food .. or any new food. She eats noodles, rice and tofu .. and lots of corn.. and that’s it. She refuses to eat any kind meat.. but would eat luncheon meat. She would eat fish.. but not baked fish.
When we go up the city.. it is very hard to get her to eat anything. She would eat fries .. and nothing else. Very worried.. we packed things for her to eat .. when we are on the road. But on Saturday .. last week.. she ate something.. that we had been trying to get her to eat.. to make it easier for us.. when we are on trips. Wanna check it out..?? Click here.

If you know me.. you know that i always keep my brat involved in whatever i do. Be it housework.. or cooking.. i let her “help” me. If i was doing some vacuuming .. she can use a dry mop to help mop the kitchen. Or if i was cooking .. i let her help me with putting in pepper .. or salt.. or stuff that is easy.. and she wouldn’t burnt herself. But of course we started her young.. telling her how hot the stove is.. so she never goes near the stove… when it is turned on.. and we are cooking something. I don’t professed to be an expert .. or a old timer.. but i think a good combination of having a spouse and the in-laws who don’t get all agitated or upset with little stuff.. may be the key to a good union. PB and the in-laws. .they don’t sweat the smart stuff.. on top of everything.. they don’t interfere. The man is not tied to his mother’s apron strings .. that is a plus too. Plus, he doesn’t get all worked up.. when i am.. so we are never in the same fight at the same time.

With all the things that are going on around the world, one cannot help but be a wee bit paranoid, especially as a parent. And in the case where George Ford murdered a 12 yrs old, Summers, but claimed that he had accidentally ran her over, that really made me sit up and think the choices I have to make to keep my daughter safe now and when she becomes a teenager. A GPS Tracking device helped the police find out the truth about what happened with Summers. Of course, I am torn in between respecting my daughter’s privacy & trusting her, and keeping her safe. But I know if i explained it to her about why I am doing it, she would understand right..?

Having fun with Grammie is what the lil’ brat does best on Sundays. She would asked.. is it Sunday today..?? and when we say it is… her reply..?? “Are we going to Grammie’s house today..??” Yes.. she had been quite attached to Grammie since young.. but i also noticed a change recently.. and that is she is more willing to hug Grampie too.. and not just goodbye hugs.
For those of you .. who are not aware of this… my MIL came to stay with Chloe when i was hospitalized twice. During the emergency operation .. she came despite the fact that she had her garden to tend to .. and my FIL to help. For that i am eternally grateful.. because i wouldn’t trust Chloe with anyone else. And of course, to my FIL too.. for not getting upset that my MIL had to stay so long. I could not have asked for a better set of in-laws.

Grammie came to visit this week.. and got keegan to bring the brat to Toots for a treat.. while keegan wanted some drinks. Of course, given a choice.. the brat would just choose any kind of treat. .and she chose this one.. and of course given a choice.. she would wanna eat all. But nope.. we let her eat half of it only.
What happened to the other half..?? we had meant to give it to her later in the day.. when she is done her lunch.. but daddy used the printer machine without seeing what was on it.. and it fell on the floor.. so poor Chloe.. no more treats. Luckily by then.. she had forgotten all about it. Thank God..!! else you know what was gonna happened right..?
