A few months ago .. there was a town hall meeting with Ted Murphy to catch up on things. In the meeting I had asked Ted Murphy a few questions. Below is what I had asked.. for the Asian community and the Asian bloggers. The whole transcript can be found here.
Mama BoK: Ted, I’m very concern about no available opps .. for the asian community.. some resort to putting their addresses in australia.. just to get opps.. ??? Is the asian market dead..?? should we just tell asian bloggers to pack up..??
Ted Murphy: I don’t know about dead, but we surely don’t see as many asain focused advertisers as we do us focused advertisers. I know the internet is global, but advertisers tend to want to focus media buys.
Mama BoK: Ted, I know where you and the advertisers are coming from.. but we have many asian bloggers on PPP and I feel for them. Maybe some advertisers from Asia.. can help..??
Ted Murphy: Yes… if you can help us get them! : )
It has been a few months since the meeting.. and yes.. I’ve seen some opps for the Asian community but not really a lot. May I suggest, if you are an Asian blogger .. to please leave suggestions.. as to what can be done to help the Asian bloggers get more jobs.. on a more regular basis..?? Maybe someone can hook up Tim from Nuffnang with Ted Murphy from Izea. Maybe they can do something together..??
I find it awfully sad.. when an Asian blogger is so desperate as to lie and say that they are living in Australia or United States, just to get opps. Or worse.. some who are veteran bloggers.. but continue to hold opportunities by submitting them against the TOS. Perhaps you know someone who works for some big hotel chain or travel agency.. that can use Asian bloggers to advertise for them.. thru’ Izea or Social Spark..?? Perhaps you know of some legal firm .. who could use some advertising or word of mouth.. thru’ Izea or Social Spark..?? Perhaps.. My Mom’s Kitchen or Prima Taste can do a food tasting .. by our Asian Bloggers thru’ Izea or Social Spark..?? Perhaps you want to lend a helping hand to your fellow Asian bloggers..?? Any suggestions or follow thru’ I’m sure will help. Lets brain storm shall we..??
