I was pleasantly surprised when we went to visit my in-laws.. and saw Uncle Budd from Halifax and Aunt Gert visiting. It’s always nice to have company .. and Uncle Budd and Aunt Sandra would play some music and entertain all of us. Unfortunately, Uncle Budd never remember to inform me.. when he is coming down to Y-Town.. else he can bring me some Chinese food. We do talk about it .. every now and then. . i am guessing he forgets.

We’ve all heard of the famous.. good night phrase we use with our kids and other people’s kids .. “don’t let the bed bugs bite”. It is meant to be a fun way of saying good night, but you and I know that bed bug bites are no fun at all. No, it is not deadly .. but because each bug can lay up to 5 eggs a day, your house and will be covered with bugs if you don’t do anything about it. Everyone knows that i have a pretty good relationship with my in-laws. They indulge me.. and let me do whatever I want. Had i married a chinese family .. my in-laws wouldn’t have allowed me to say .. “yo-yo” as a greeting to them. But my FIL is my true hero.. for those who donch know.. this blog’s name derived from the fact that my FIL grew Baby BoK Choi for me.. in his green house.. because I missed home so much. Yesterday.. i had my first baby bok choi for this year… all organic.. and all leafy and juicy. How can you not love this man.. right..??

As I walked out to the kitchen at 4am in the morning.. to turn off the lights .. and go to bed.. i cannot helped but missed that sleeping bond with the neighbour’s man. Now.. now..! i ain’t sleeping with the neighbor .. of course..!! but you see .. he used to own a pizzeria not too, too long ago.. and comes home at about 4am or so .. but not anymore.. sad.. but that’s another story to tell.

So each time.. i see his car turn into his driveway.. i know it’s time to go to bed too. Not always true.. for the brat does wake up.. but still .. it was my special bond with the neighbor. Weird.. kinda..! I guess .. i’m a wee bit sentimental. Sad .. coz’ he no longer will be coming home at that hour no more.. we donch have a special bond .. no more. Boo hoo hoo..!! have you felt a special bond with your neighbor..??

A true and true daddy’s girl. Chloe has been exposed and trained to show affection openly with both PB and I. Of course, her grammie, Aunt Helena and her Godma are some she has no qualms about hugging and kissing. But as you can see, she is not stingy when she hugs her daddy. In moments like these.. we donch want her to grow up so quick. I bet everyone has moments like these right..?

It’s truly wonderful to see some tulips already growing at my in-laws garden today. The weather isn’t too kind to us every year.. and see the flowers blooming makes one’s heart happy. When they are fully bloomed .. they get really colorful. Unfortunately, I donch have a green thumb.
