Yes.. they have always been very kind to Chloe.. since she was born.. always remember her birthday.. and Christmases.. and any occasions. Yes.. call me crazy..! but with summer just around the corner.. i can’t helped but wanna be size 8 again..!! envy to see a customer come in today at the store.. and she too had lost weight.. but she didn’t really tell me her secret. She just said.. she smarten up. I wonder if she was Hydroxycut, a fat burner i hear is pretty effective. I’ll check out the side effects before taking it of course.

Keegan was sick yesterday.. and of course the brat longing to see her the whole weekend.. was very disappointed. I was telling PB .. i donch know what it would be like.. once Keegan goes full time into nursing.. and can’t babysit..?? afterall, it had been almost 3 yrs now or more.. that the brat had been with Keegan. I know too, that the brat is getting really, really attached to her babysitter, it is kinda cool.. on the other hand quite worrisome.. coz’ we know we can never replace Keegan.. when she goes to nursing. What would you do..?? if you were me..??

I kid you not.. when i tell you that.. ! see the dress chloe have on..?? yes. . i only buy cheap and good stuff.. when they come off season.. and keep them till the brat can wear them. At $4 for the dress, I figured i couldn’t go wrong. Motherhood did changed me… and that’s the truth. For someone who didn’t even looked at price tags before becoming a mother.. now i calculate everything to the last penny..!! My father-in-law donch call me .. a Chinese Jew for nothing you know..! Did motherhood change you too.. ??? to someone you never thought you would be..??

We bought the scooter for the brat yesterday.. and since it was a display one. .we got 25% discount for it.. so we ended paying like $15 .. which in my opinion was a great price. But grampie is paying for it.. muahhahahhaha!! yes.. we are pretty smart .. when it comes to buying things.. not only we buy them really cheap.. on discount.. but we also make Grampie feel so loved… muahahhaha!!

I donch know if you are aware of this. .but where I am living.. in Nova Scotia.. we are surrounded by the Ocean .. and when one sees the seagulls coming back… it can only mean one thing to me… !! the warm weather is gonna be here really soon. This is the first of the seagulls i’ve seen this month. During the summer.. we see flocks of them… all over town.. because just behind our store..is the ocean. Awesome..!

Alot of women out there feels that marrying overseas or uprooting permanently is so glamorous, especially when they see a friend who married a “white man” go home to visit their parents, family and friends. The perception is so far from being the truth! oh don’t get me wrong.. the “white man” is great.. but all the other things has to be taken into consideration as well. Like the weather..! and the kinda food we cannot get here.. or the child care or even the hospital care.

I was at the hospital the other day.. and met a filipino lady who also married a Canadian.. and the first thing she said.. was the weather is killing her. Of course, we didn’t continue talking.. because she had to get to her appointment.. and I had to rush home. But yes.. if you thinking marrying overseas is glamorous, I tell you it’s not. I have never missed home so much in my entire 43 yrs of life.

Saturday afternoon was the 2nd time.. we left the brat with Keegan at the store.. for an hour or so.. and went back home .. to eat. It was very quiet at home.. without the brat.. and we are not used to it.. muahhaha!! PB said.. it is a sample.. of what it would be… when the brat goes to school… this fall.

I do like the free time.. but it sure feels strange without the lil’ brat, for she is so noisy.. she never stops.. from the time she gets up. Full of energy, lots of things to say.. and full of mischief. I wonder what we are gonna do.. when she is in school. Prolly should start practicing eh..?

I’ve always wanted to send my daughter for piano classes because she seems to love music alot and i hear that learning to play the piano as young as 4 yrs old actually boost their intelligence. Unfortunately, I am not very musically inclined and would rather not send her to a music school just yet, in case she doesn’t really want to take up piano yet.

While i read about other blogging mummies anguish about their kids not cleaning up.. i really think we luck in on Chloe .. in that department. Whenever she washes her hands.. she even dries the tap .. after cleaning her hands. And when she is done peeing .. she wipes the toilet seat.. with a piece of toilet paper. It’s cute to see her do that.. because seriously i didn’t teach her to. It is either PB or Keegan.. because they are the one who goes to the washroom with her most of the time. So yes.. it’s amusing to see that the brat cleans the tap .. after washing her hands without even having to remind her. I do have an awesome kid.

It is very easy to ignore all the small little things the man do for you .. and in fact only point out the bad things.. when he doesn’t. I am definitely guilty of such. I can be such a B.I.T.C.H at times..! and i’m sure the man would agree with me.. in half a second.. not openly though.

But the man was really good tonite.. and i didn’t need to ask for help. He did the vacuuming, cooking for the brat, cleaning the dishes.. and then cleaned the bottles.. and pots and pans.. and bathed the brat. For that .. he deserves alot of brownie points. I thought he was going to his buddy’s place but i guess i was wrong.. and he said.. he did all these housework.. because i was sick..! so sweet eh..?? So man can be nice and helpful if they want to. I must not forget the good stuff too eh.

Does it bother you .. when you spot white hair on your head..?? I didn’t think it would.. but it is most irritating to see some short ones.. sprouting around my head this week. I tried to ignore it.. but it just wouldn’t let me. I think what bothers me most is wondering if it has anything to do with my current health condition?? Afterall, i am not that, that old eh..?? even though my mother-in-law doesn’t think i am a spring chicken no more. Anyone got any advice..?? experience..?? share, share ya.

Yes.. more gifts from Keegan for the lil’ brat. These are stuff for her to make bracelets .. and necklaces. Although they are not expensive.. it’s still the thought behind it that really counts. Chloe is very attached to Keegan now.. i asked her .. what are we gonna do.. when Keegan goes to college the year after this.. and the brat said to me.. “she can come and visit me..!” Muahahahhaha!! yes.. but i donch know if the brat knows the impact once keegan is away for nursing school.

Don’t you just envy those that goes on a vacation a few times a year..?? I do..!! i have friends and customers who are always going away for a vacation and recently one just came back from the Outer Banks. Staying in the finest beach home and soaking in the sun and the sea.. and coming back with a tan.. !!! while we are all still wearing heavy sweaters during the late afternoon. How can one not long to go for a sunny vacation.

PB loves to call the brat a P.I.T.A., so one day.. the brat told PB .. the same thing.. that he was a P.I.T.A. muhhahahahaha!!! sure she doesn’t know what it actually means.. but she can still repeat it to her daddy. See ..! they do pick up really fast.. and quick, irregardless whether they know what it is or not. So are you a P.I.T.A.?

I’m pretty proud of myself today at the hospital.. because I went there on my own. For the last 8 yrs.. i think i’ve been a parasite. It got really worst after I got pregnant with Chloe, everything changed.. and i started to get panic attack that i had never experienced before i had chloe. After Chloe .. it eased.. but once in a blue moon .. i still get it.

Today, going for my ultra sound alone.. the receptionist asked me.. where’s the rest of my entourage..?? made me realized that i never go anywheres without PB or the brat. No wonder my father-in-law suggested that i get my own car .. instead of sharing one with PB. He’s prolly trying to be polite eh.

I have been under the weather for the last few days.. and in between work.. and taking care of the brat.. and a few hospital visits for an already pre-scheduled appointment.. it’s quite taxing. I finally got my renewal for my MSI card.. and very quickly i got an appointment to see my family doctor yesterday.

This morning.. i was squeezed in for an emergency ultra sound for my fibroids.. and having that taken care of . .now means.. i only have to wait for the gynae to access my fibroids.. and we’ll go from there. I am down with a cold.. but luckily both PB and Keegan helped with Chloe.. so i can get some rest. I’m aching all over.. so if i donch answer your emails .. or msn .. i hope you forgive me. I’ll be back.. in full force in a few days..! have a great weekend.. everyone.

Of late i haven’t been feeling too well and when i read about those who had suddenly departed, I am just glad that I have insurance coverage for when I am not around to take care of them. I cannot imagine how some people can go without insurance since getting a term life insurance quote is easy and affordable. Yes.. that she is.. and really .. i wonder why..?? i donch really teach her anything.. anywheres .. to be this way… but she is. Things needs to be exactly the way she wants it.. like her pillow.. or her clothes.. or soaks.. or shoes. She can wake up crying because Papa didn’t put her pillow down properly. *sigh* .. i really hope she ain’t into those compulsive behavior type.

Isn’t it funny that the brat starts off with what she wants to say with .. “Hey .. you know what..?” .. and then she goes rambling on… muahahah!! it is quite amusing .. if you asked me. But if we think carefully, i know she picked this up from Keegan her babysitter. So watch what you are saying .. in front of your kids.

The ex boss entertained alot and some of his clients were die hard fans of baseball, therefore whenever he would asked for last minute arrangement for the best seats for a baseball game or even an event schedule, we were prepared. Of course, he thinks we have these little black book that we go to and strings to pull, for we always come through for him irregardless.

The Houston Astros Tickets are very popular this year because the Houston Astros are making another run at the National League’s Central title. The addition of speedster Michael Bourn and Kaz Matsui should help in this reorganization. Maybe this will be the year the Astros can make it back to the World series.

We are glad to find out that orientation for all schools is only in May .. so we are safe ..! thank God..! else i would be quite devastated.. if she cannot get into a decent school this year.

Whenever Chloe wears this Princess dress, it reminds me fondly of a blogging friend, Min .. and her Princess by the name of Sienna. Yes.. Chloe still wears her princess dress very fondly… and whenever the weather is good.. she asked for it. This dress was sent to Chloe in December 2005, as a christmas gift to Chloe .. by Min and her daughter. Together with this dress.. Min had sent some PJs from Baby Gap.. that were retired last year.

Taken by surprised that the man immediately had my renewal for my MSI card sent on the same day I received my renewal .. back to the city .. was kinda new to me. Your know how PB is quite a procrastinator.. in many things.. and I had kinda given up .. and harping at him on things.. but he sure surprised me this time. Now i wonder what made the changed in him eh..? Man are quite as unfathomable as the woman.. if i must say.

Ever seen a white chick cooking with a pair of chopsticks..??? i bet not too many people has..eh..? Well.. here she is.. !!! super duper.. 100% white chick.. with chopsticks. If you are wondering who she is.. she is Keegan.. my brat’s babysitter. Yes .. she can maneuver the chopsticks pretty well eh. She was actually playing with the brat.. about hair .. i think.. when i asked her to come help me.. with the stirring.. so that i can washed the dishes. Pretty cool eh..??

When Chloe was born, we had planned that we would move back to the country .. just before she starts school.. that way she can go to the school her father was in.. and nearer to her grandparents. 4 yrs.. later.. we still haven’t realised our dream .. because of our business… or rather PB’s business. This is actually my ideal school for Chloe.

Yes.. more present for Chloe from her babysitter.. Katelynn (keegan). We are truly grateful to Keegan for loving the brat so much.. but i wished she wouldn’t waste her money . .on buying toys for the brat. Afterall, the house is full of toys.. just in about every room. Kate bought a Prince Carlos to match up with Chloe’s princesses.

A few weeks ago, my dear father-in-law said. .that the brat speaks more like I .. and it was understandable .. coz’ PB has got his mouth full of gold. So please help me out by taking a vote as to whether.. the brat speaks like me or like any Canadian.

Happy Spring Day .. Everyone..!! it’s unbelieveably hot at 18 degree celcius out here.. in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. If this is any indication of summer.. which i donch think we are so lucky.. we might just have a better summer this year. I can’t wait for Misha’s Cafe to be opened.. !! they are my only hope .. to good food around here.. and at best prices.

Yes..! they do say the darnedest thing. A few boys were in the store.. and they went into the adult room. Guess what the brat said.. to one of the friends .. that were in the room..?? She said.. “Yer friend is in the YAKKIE room”!! muahahahhahahaha!!!

I never sweat or never seems to sweat, most likely it is because I don’t do very many strenuous exercises. I was told that some people take eca stack for this purpose alone. And that it not only help one burn fats but keep them away. And if you know me, you know that I’ve lots of store fats, time for some help.

You know with winter being so long in Canada, it can be really hard to keep fit.. and very easy to keep all the fats. Buying ellipticals may be the best investment for folks like us, who are usually stuck indoors in the store. And if their is a big storm out, and no chance of us getting to the fitness center, this will be a life-saver.

The mother-in-law is going to watch Stars-on-Ice live in Halifax this week. I think she is going with her line-dancing friends. I hear there are 6 going. .and they are staying at the Marriott. I wished i could go to.. but work and of course the brat does not permit me to. Well.. at least i know I will be getting some chinese food, she just called from the Asian grocery store this morning and i placed a small order. I have an awesome mother-in-law and a great Aunt.

I still cannot believe that people would not or do not buy travel insurance when they go on vacation with the whole family or when they are on working trips. I’m just glad that when i did travel with my previous company, they always buy travel insurance for me and because of that, when in Cambodia one year.. and they had a civil war, i was evacuated by the insurance company faster than I could make a call home. So for those traveling, please buy your travel insurance.

I’ve never had to take any weight loss pills since young, not that i’m not over-weight though. I love my food alot and you can imagine, i do sometimes over-eat. The reason for not taking the pills is because there were so many controversy about pills like these many years ago, but things are definitely different now, they are safe and affordable. But of course with any pills one takes, you have to do your own little research before taking them.

As a kid, my mother never let us help her to cook or bake.. and in fact she would literally treat us like a pest.. if we even cooked in her kitchen.. because she said.. we would either dirty her stove.. or spoil it.

I used to lament about the lack of fun cooking with my mum. .but when i think back. .i knew she cannot afford to spare the time.. because she was a full time working mum. This is the reason why .. i never refused to let chloe help in washing or cooking if she wanted to.. because.. i donch want her to feel she ain’t useful. Even if she was making a mess more than helping… it’s alright.

Changing cars every other year is quite the norm in this part of the world. Even my babysitter has her own car.. it was a hands me down.. but it’s great that she is able to drive around on her own.. and used the car to go to school.

Lucky for her .. she doesn’t have to pay for the car.. because it was once upon a time her brother’s but her classmates who wants to drive would have to get their own car loan and insurance. Eyeing on a used car austin, she may trade in hers for a new used car, when she starts going to college next year. And for students like her .. Quality Auto not only take your old car for trade in but also help you get a loan really quick. Awesome for kids like my babysitter .. that’s for sure.

I’m sure by now .. all of you know that the brat is hard to feed. And like any good mummies.. i too worry sick.. because of her no intake of meat. If she can.. she would try all sorts of nonsense just not to eat that meat.. that she had already been chewing in her mouth. Lucky for us, she developed a liking for tofu, yogurt and milk. With these substitutes i think it is ok.. that she doesn’t like meat that much. What do you give your kids.. when they don’t want to eat certain food..??

It was really thoughtful of Aunt Helena.. to remember that the brat loves corn. She had bought some.. and cooked it for the brat.. when we visited on Sunday. You should have seen how Chloe’s eyes lighted up.. when she saw the corn. She chomped it down really quick too. Muahahahha!! my corn monster..!

Like every kid, the brat has decided that she wants a gift everyday or any chance that we go shopping. Whether to the grocery store or to the mall, she would asked if she can get a gift. So how do other mums cope with it..?? or dad..?? because we all know they can drive us nuts.. by asking for a present right..??

Well.. as for us and the brat.. we trained her really early.. that only those that she finds with red-tags.. they are for sale.. those without the red tag.. they are only for display. But since the brat is getting older.. and way smarter now.. we also instilled in her.. that the red-tag means that they are on sale.. and we never buy anything .. that ain’t on sale .. because we gotta shop smart.. else we will have no money.

And yes.. no fuss .. she looks only for the red-tags.. and for your info.. nothing is on red-tag.. it is just a prevention for us not to buy anything we donch wanna buy.

Every year we said we want to throw the brat a birthday party but it always seems like something will come up.. and we don’t get the party invitations out on time for the party. So this year, we are going to have the party way earlier.. to prevent any unforeseen circumstances. That way if we can’t have it on that said day.. at least it is still early enough to have it on the following week.

This is so aggravating..!! i’ve never had to go on a round about trip .. back home..! it must be a Canadian thing..??

Many years ago, i wouldn’t think of nothing speaking money on furnishing the house. But of course things are different if you are spending the man’s money.. and not making your own. I love fanciful stuff.. who doesn’t . .and many year ago, i would never think of buying them only when they are on sale. I want something.. and i want it now. Life sure changes.. once you have kids eh..?? We finally got the curtain rods that we want for our tv room too. Nice or not..?? Not ex either.. !

It is not easy to buy presents for my parents. Everytime, we asked them what would like like for say, Christmas. Their reply is usually, nothing, we have everything. And we really don’t want to buy something just because of buying them, we want gifts to represent our love, our thoughts for them and more.

I haven’t been sleeping well lately because of my darn fibroids..! it almost feels like i am pregnant. .just without the baby. How silly of me.. when i was having chloe.. i thought my fibroids were chloe moving around… muahahahha!! yah.. the turning around.. and sleeping on the sides.. doesn’t seems to help.. so i go to bed late.. and get up early. I have to get the darn thing out soon. Wish me luck..!

Not only me.. of course..! in fact the brat was so happy yesterday.. guess what she said to us outta the blue moon.. and then continued to grammie and grampie.. and then the neighbours. She said to everyone .. “Happy Spring Day..!” “Happy Spring Day..!” And swear we didn’t teach her ..! she just came up with it… muahahahha!!

My brother-in-law, Richard would be really pleased to know that there is a used auto parts online place for him to purchase his auto parts. We didn’t go visit my in-laws the week on my birthday.. because not only was PB sick.. so was i. Well.. guess what my in-laws didn’t forget my birthday..and i was taken by surprised.. when i had a coconut pie .. and candles.. to blow out yesterday.. when we visited. And i thought they had forgotten by now. So sweet eh..?

I don’t know about other woman out there but I’m always afraid when my car breaks down no matter what is wrong with it. The anticipation of paying premium dollars and at the mercy of the garage can be very stressful.

I have a strange kid..! a kid who doesn’t like to eat at all. No kids that i’ve known in all my life.. wouldn’t finished their ice cream.. but nope.. the brat just refused to eat it.. even though it was her favorite flavor .. chocolate..! what do you make outta it…??

We were at the Canadian Dollar store after our late lunch at Jungle Jims. I had wanted to just browse around.. and of course to get the brat some cheapie toys. And i spotted some knock off crocs and bought one for Mr Choo’s 1 year old kid. Unfortunately, her feet were as big as Chloe’s so i have to bring it back to exchange it. But Mrs Choo who was delivery our food was thanking us profusely.. and thoughtfulness, but to me it was actually nothing.. it was on the way. And guess what she didn’t wanna collect the money for our food.. *slap forehead* .. oh no..!! not again..!!

Yes..!! the brat wants to grow up fast.. and she got Keegan her babysitter to paint her fingers and toes. She sure loved it.. and was literally amused that the paint didn’t come off with water. She is into wearing dresses.. and skirts ..and girlie stuff.. and dresses herself up.. whenever the weather is warm. I told PB this morning.. we are gonna have problems with the brat.. when she grows up.. because she wants all the nice things.

A few days ago, I had written that PB must have gold in his mouth , therefore he either does not want to open his mouth or say very, very little. For those who thinks i am exaggerating.. well today .. when visiting my in-laws.. my father-in-law said this .. “i see chloe learn how to speak from you more.. than chris…?? no wonder she speaks like you… but that’s understandable.”

I guess the FIL meant .. i speak like a “CHINESE” .. no SLANG here.. ok..!! or does he meant.. bad pronunciation..?? Well.. either way.. it does prove that the man donch speak unless spoken to. Even then.. you can expect very short answers. Well.. if chloe speaks broken english or bad pronunciation .. donch blame me hor..!

Kids say the darnedest thing .. but i think mine has an excuse for just about everything. She raised her voice at me when she was answering a question of mine.. and i had told her it wasn’t very nice. She said .. “sorry mum and dad.. i wasn’t having a very good day. ” Muahahhahahahahhha!!! yer tell me lah.. what you make outta it..??

When I first came to Canada, I had big dreams.. i wanted to get ahold of a franchise for a leading cosmetic store but was told that they do not at that point of time do any franchising. I checked back often to see if they have had made any changes.. but for the last 8 yrs, they still wants to own the stores around Canada on their own. What a bummer!

In my daughter’s eyes .. this is how she sees fun, dressing up her babies.. in the store and mostly lining them up.. to watch a movie with her. .or to have lunch or dinner with her. How simple everything is with the kids eh. What is in your kid’s eyes lately..??

I never go anywheres without the brat…and i have very good reasons for it. Can you imagine going out on a date with the man.. and his only answer to your conversation are “yes”, “no” and/or “prolly”. Yes.. the man got gold in his mouth.. ! no way was he gonna say more than he should.. i think if he can he would type the answer out for me.. to save him some effort in moving his jaws. I know what your next question is gonna be.. “how did you fall for the man..??” Go right ahead and guess.. and I’ll write the answer in another story .. another day.

Relocating from one state to another.. or just simply moving home .. is a tremendous and tedious task not forgetting daunting too. I so do not look forward to it at all. I am sure.. those who’ve moved or relocated because of work or for personal reasons would understand where i am coming from. If I can choose and not ever move again.. I would .. but since it is not possible.. i have to say, Boston Moving Company is my choice for this little moving project of mine.

The Dollar store is God-send ..!! yes… everything for a buck..! and it’s great when you have kids..! because you and I know.. how much a kid wants to buy presents. The brat is no different from other kids.. but she is quite happy with the dollar store toys.. although some can be really poor quality.

Now if only they had these Dollar Stores when we were kids.. that would have been great for parents of my mother’s time. The poorer kids wouldn’t feel deprived at all. I remembered even bicycles were made and imported from UK .. so you can imagine.. how deprived even those in the middle income family were.

We had lunch at Jungle Jims today.. and the brat drew for her food.. muahahhhaa!! yes.. she entered the Starving Artist Contest while sitting and waiting for her ice cream since she had already eaten at the store. But she sure got all her theme correct, she drew giraffes, hippos and tigers. And nope.. we didn’t helped her.. she told us a matter of factly.. that these were what they were… since we really didn’t recognized any.. muahahhaha!! But you have gotta give her extra points for trying eh..?

As first time parents, there are still loads of stuff that we don’t know and unlike an Asian mother-in-law.. mine never interfere with how we should bring up our brat nor insist that the brat should be doing this or that. Therefore, there is never a conflict between my in-laws and I… they pretty much respect our choice.

But that does not mean that we are complacent when it comes to disciplining the brat and I’ll have to say that we are doing a pretty good job. How so..?? she is very well behaved when she is out in the public. We started our grilling from young, therefore, the brat knows she is not to do certain things in public because it just isn’t our store or home. Sometimes, parents might think they are too young to understand.. but that’s not true.. they may not even acknowledge you at that moment .. but they remember .. for a long time. And if you keep at it, they will know not to do it. Is your child the same way too..?? well-behaved in public..??

Playing dressed up seems to be the “in” thing for the brat these days. She told me this afternoon.. that she was gonna dressed up.. and look “GORGEOUS”, so she “painted” her nails, put on her make up, her lipsticks, powder on her face, with hairband, necklace, sunglasses, watch, handbag and her princess slippers. But that’s not all, she wanted mummy to dress up too..!!! and took a picture of mummy all dressed up too.. but of course mummy donch look anything like this cheeky brat lah.. ! so i won’t frighten you all.. and post my picture.. muahahhaha!!

I told the little brat that I was jumping into the shower before we had to leave for our appointment this afternoon .. and she replied… “don’t jump into the shower, mama, you might hurt yourself..!” muahahahahhaha!!! so innocent, yet so smart eh..? Seriously, I don’t think I was that smart at 4 yrs old. But kids are way smarter than we were, I guessed it has to do with being in a different era, technology.. and what nots. Being a first time mama, I’m still quite overwhelmed at times… even after 4 yrs., what about you ..??

The last 2 nites.. the brat didn’t let us sleep at all. i only gotten 4 hrs of sleep one nite.. and PB was woken up .. all nite yesterday. She said she was having a bad dream… everytime we try to sneak back to bed. .she was up again.. waking us up. I think we got sick.. because we didn’t get enough rest. It was 11.06pm then.. and yet. .the brat was still talking a storm. Thus .. my MSN name… was ” PB Is Sick.. I Am Sick.. and I have a kid to SELL”..! So now you know why.. don’t get too alarm if you see that message often.

With games online for free, one has got to wonder how educational they are. Chloe goes alot onto Sesame Street and Elmo playground, and she is familiar with that site. We do leave her alone.. but I think that might be the wrong way to do it. I really think that all computer games be played and supervised with parents. But the problem with the brat is that if you are beside her … she suddenly become handicapped .. and wants you to help her in everything. But I want my brat to be smart and independent..!!!! I’m torn..!!! wat would you do..??
