I am NO saint, I’ll have to let you all know right off. Don’t throw rotten eggs at me, but when I started working with various advertisers I quickly realized that when I need to do a job my brat would be the first to be seeking attention. I am writing this because I felt extremely disturbed when I read in some blog about how they would get all upset with their kids because they’ve got work to do, and then they start shouting at the kids. My heart goes out to them because this is not healthy.

I get a fair amount of work from all my advertisers, but I also make sure that even if there were opps dropping I would never ignore my kid, nor scream at her. Like i say, I am no saint, but I consciously make sure that this does not happen because my kid catches on easily and she might get the wrong idea, thinking that money or my online job is more important than her. That cannot be farther from the truth because nothing is more important than my brat.

Money is important, I am very sure, to just about anyone and everyone but one has to really weigh the consequences. Do you really want to bring up your kids thinking that you are a mad man or woman? Or put fear in your kid’s mind and heart for $10??? My kid is very sensitive, she can sense when I am sick or upset or grouchy because I didn’t get enough sleep. And they DO understand more than they let on.

I’m no saint, once again I tell you, and yes, sometimes I feel like screaming at my brat, but I make a VERY conscious effort never to shout or scream at her because I don’t want my brat to grow up fearing me or thinking that she is inferior. I don’t want her to feel that she is less important than my job, the money or anyone else in my life. So here I plead to all blogging mummies and daddies to please consider your position and see yourself thru’ your kid’s eyes. Do you see an ugly, mad and loud crazy person in your kid’s eyes..?? It is not too late to change now! YOU can do it and make that difference in your kid’s life and eyes. I know you love your kids and that money is important but you can make the right choice.

It’s amazing.. when i see how much this lil’ brat has grown.. and the things she say. She dresses herself now.. and is mostly good.. and still doesn’t eat good.. but loves her milky.. and she is SO tall..!! And she is so drama queen… (i wonder where she gets it from) .. muahahhahhaha!!! But yes.. like every mummy.. i’m proud of her.. and each time.. she does anything..it never fail to amuse and amaze me. Mummies out there.. tell me if you feel the same way .. as I.. ??? even when she scribbles rubbish.. on a piece of paper.. muhahhahaha!!

Every little bit of excuse.. they can come up with … a little bit of snow throughout the day.. and they are sending the kids home. I donch think my brat is gonna get a good education here. The teachers or the board seems to love to send the kids home.. or have what they call “in-service” or relief teachers.. that does nothing .. for the kids. I am extremely disturbed by these.

Of course we took this opportunity at Easter to visit some of Chloe’s friends.. Jasmine.. and Sarah before heading out to Grammie’s. They were short visits.. but what is Easter .. without taking the opportunity to teach Chloe all about sharing.. and interacting with other kids. But Chloe was pretty engrossed with Jasmine’s toys.. more than Jasmine… muahahah!

The weather hasn’t turned warm for us here yet. We are all still bundled up pretty much.. when we go out. Yesterday.. i stayed home with the brat.. because .. i wasn’t really ready yet.. when PB was about to leave for work.. so i tempted the brat with chinese noodles.. for lunch.. so that she would stay with me.

In a way it was good to stay home.. but my fibroids started acting up really bad.. and no amount of 4 hourly painkiller.. would make the darn pain go. Chloe was pretty much good .. the whole day.. and didn’t really fussed so much.. as though she knows i am sick. Amazing isn’t it.. how kids are.

Of course .. Grammie bought Easter presents for the brat. And more from Aunt Helena.. that i haven’t taken pictures of. Grammie gave the brat loads of chocolate.. and a blouse.. and an umbrella… plus some toys too.. coloring pencils and books.. and some spongey stuff. Grampie gave her chocolates too.. ! she ate all of them.. as soon as she got home. And we even got to call her Godma Lynn at Uncle Bobby’s house in Cookstown.

The Killiam’s easter tradition is to let the kids.. have a big bunny chocolate.. and let them stuff their faces.. and get dirty. As you can see.. how PB wants to keep the tradition going. .by making sure that he buys ones of those big chocolate bunny for the brat.. to eat. Of course, he didn’t let her finish all of it.. just the bunny years.. and if you know chloe.. she doesn’t like to be messy at all.. so daddy didn’t get to see a dirty chloe.

I am not big on Easter.. but PB is… and he painstakingly.. went out to buy presents.. and chocolates.. and eggs.. and even a basket.. for the brat .. for Easter morning. And she sure had a great time.. hunting those eggs.. on easter morning. Still in her PJs.. someone really thought that Easter bunny came to visit.. and left her loads of eggs.. to chomp… for a week or so.

“Not Going To Work.. I’m Sick..!” .. that was what the brat told me this morning.. muahahahha!! she is way too smart.. even when sick.. she can say funny things.. to make us laugh.. and to lighten the mood. We really lucked in.. on this brat.. coz’ she doesn’t really gives us much to worry about .. where the intelligence department is concerned.

Yes.. you heard right..! the idiot season has just begun here.. in Y-Town. Why..?? We just got home at about 9.15pm.. from work.. and even before we parked our car.. we heard siren going by. While inside the house.. a few more cars with siren went by.. and after i got my dinner ready.. and Keegan left.. another one went by.

There must have been some ppl burning their grass or something similar. Around this time of the year.. we have idiots who tries to burn their own house down.. and others.. just because they wanna clear the grass. Very irresponsible if you asked me. And we are not talking about one idiot.. mind you .. we are talking about quite a few out there.. and they still do it.. even though they know they are not supposed to.

After moving into our own home for almost 3.5yrs, we finally got our curtains up in our bedroom like last week. We had bought the curtain the curtains last year at Wicker’s Emporium .. in December.. and only got around to bringing it to the tailor to have it hemmed up .. like 2 weeks ago. You see what procrastinators we are right..?? Yes.. December .. and only in March.. we got our curtains up. So if you want anything done by the man.. you know .. you cannot expect anything immediately ya. The JOYs of running your own businesses.

My then co-workers were very nice.. and they did bring me around to a few places… but i guessed with any out-of-town guest .. they do get a little tired of playing host all the time, since ours was an international company.

In good spirit even though she was ill.. for a few days now. But today .. she is feeling way better. But the coughing hasn’t stopped.. and we can hear all the phlegm trying to break up. But the brat doesn’t know how to throw up or spit up the phlegms.. that’s the program. But we found out one thing.. and that is .. she doesn’t mind taken liquid form.. Robutissen medication.. strawberry flavor .. as opposed to putting them in her milky or the chewy tablets.

If you have never seen power puking before… i donch think you wanna see it.. nor clean it up. After closing the store at 9pm.. we had a call from Keegan. .telling us that the brat puked big time. She guessed that she choked.. and of course we rushed home… to find that the bathroom.. and the toilet bowl was dirtied everywhere.. with puke.. till the back of the toilet bowl walls.

Knowing that Keegan .. doesn’t like pukes.. i took over and cleaned up.. and PB cleaned the back of the walls.. because i can’t reached it. I didn’t see the brat puke.. but it was EVERYWHERE..!!

Our living room did not come with any light fixtures, all we are using now are one standing lamp.. and another table lamp. You can imagine .. how dark it is.. even with a 60watt bulb. Plus the man.. doesn’t like to have lights on while watching tv.. but you see i eat while watching the tv, so i need enough lights.. we are so different.

PB is always going on about fixing up the basement and making it into his recreation room. He already have a 52″ tv .. and home theatre seating, plus the bar and the pinball machine for entertaining his buddies. Now if we can find some popcorn machines that are affordable… that’s my contribution to his “play-pen”.

I don’t know about other people but I get really stressful .. preparing for a trip .. and even if it was a short one.. it gets onto my nerve. One needs to make sure you pack all the important stuff.. and your travel supplies as well. And of course with a brat .. you not only need to get her clothes.. but all her toys.. and her blankie.. and more. So going for a vacation or a short break isn’t that fun at all. Are you like me..?? or I’m alone on this..??

Sometimes, I think i expect too much. Why .. you asked..?? The man mops .. do laundry.. fold laundry.. look after the brat.. bathe her.. and brush her teeth.. and feed her.. breakfast.. and sometimes lunch.. and scrub the toilet bowl.. when i asked him to.. and wash the tub everyday for the brat.. before she takes a bath. And do dishes.. when i asked him to. Yet sometimes.. i still “mang jang” .. when i am cooking..and he is playing his xbox 360. I think maybe i too much lah..! What do you think..??

This town is spending a few million dollars in building a new building to house 8 employees and their family. I heard that there is going to be that state-of-art gym in there too. Instead of spending the tax payer’s money wisely .. like donating some stair lifts to the nursing homes or old age homes, they rather take care of their own comfort first. Lets hope when they grow old.. their kids wouldn’t put them in a nursing home.. that doesn’t have alot of facilities.

Before having the lil’ brat .. i’ve always had a good 8 - 10hrs of sleep.. and good peaceful rest.. that does great for my skin. These day if i can get 6 hrs uninterrupted.. i would be grateful… as you all know that brat is no sleeper even from young. We even bought a great foam mattress, to help with the back that is aching. And I’m sure all mummies out there can sympathize with me.. about getting sleep. Are you getting enough sleep..??

Keegan is very talented.. ! she plays the guitar really well… and she sure surprised me.. because she hadn’t been taking lessons for long. I love that she teaches chloe whatever.. she knows.. and lets her play with her guitar.. even though it is obviously expensive and all. Days when she has the guitar with her during babysitting.. we can come home.. seeing the brat with Keegan’s guitar.. and strumming away.

I was just chatting with another mummy from Asia the other day.. and she had asked.. how i disciplined the brat.. when she is out of line. You see the “ang mohs” .. they donch believe in caning their kids.. nor shouting at them harshly. What they believed in..?? talking to them.. and explaining to them about what is right and wrong. But of course the “Time Out” thingie .. is a big thing .. for kids here… and my brat .. she gets time out from Keegan her babysitter.. and she knows what time out is.

No one likes to have their kids sick.. nor can we bear to see them having a hard time. With Chloe.. she is usually quite good.. and in good spirits .. even when she is sick. The only thing is .. she doesn’t wanna eat.. nor does she wanna sleep. We try to feed her with more fluid.. but she isn’t cooperating .. on that part either. Can anyone tell me.. how you get your kids to eat.. when they are sick…???

Keeping healthy is very important to me. I guess it has to do with having a daughter now.. and I need to make sure that I am healthy all the time. I am sure alot of parents feel the same way as me. But what are we doing to keep healthy besides exercising and eating right.. or a well-balanced meal.

These were the caps that the dentist put in for Chloe.. last Friday. It has been a week already.. yet.. it still feels like it was just yesterday.. that we did it. The brat isn’t that comfy with her new caps yet.. and eating very slowly too. So for those parents with young children.. do start brushing their teeth early.. and no food or milk after brushing the teeth.. else you might just have to go thru’ what we did with Chloe.. and i assure you it was no fun.

Yes.. a week after her teeth work.. the brat is sick.. coughing .. sniffing.. and a fever now. She keeps saying.. keegan got her sick.. muahahha!! i wonder why though. Anyways.. i donch think it is the case. But it is really pitiful.. to see her not breathing or eating proper. She was still in good spirit this afternoon.. but the nite time suxs big time.. because she can’t sleep with the coughing. Poor gal.

Although common in Asia.. and more stylish.. in Y-town.. you wouldn’t see anything like that. Afterall, blinking lights on your store front was forbidden till only recently. The man uses his flash drive often for work. These days they are so affordable and it is definitely much easier .. than to have a load of CDs .. and programs in a pouch. With the flash drive, it is so easy to transfer any patch files he needs and bring it along when he makes house calls.

Sorry for keeping everyone in suspense.. but quite busy to write full story. You know how long-winded i am.. so instead.. i’ll redirect you to PB’s version of the eventful morning. In her PJs .. and still wanna dress up like a princess with her tiara, wand and a tutu for a skirt. Someone had said.. that chloe was a girly-gal.. and she is really going that way it seems. Our brat is very much loved.. the minnie mouse cap was brought back all the way from Orlando, Florida - DisneyLand by our customer/friend .. Sherry. She loves it so much..! thank you very much Sherry..! yer the best..!

Chloe got her first vanity table .. from her Grandparents and us.. a combined gift .. because she did so good at the hospital. She loved it so much .. and can’t wait to show it to her Grammie .. when she came babysitting on Tuesday .. and also Keegan.. who had been sick for a week.

Like any women around, we all know that taking care of a kid is not easy. We have to keep our strength and our health in order. No .. my ex-boss wasn’t using the luggage to carry his clothes to the airport. But he lugged it around.. everyday.. to work.. and to his meetings. He doesn’t have his clothings in it.. but a payphone and working materials… to present to the clients. A sturdy Zero Halliburton was what he used.. and it was funny seeing him open his luggage .. whenever he had a presentation.

For those who knows my father-in-law .. you know how much he loves gardening and trucking. Yes.. he is very good with his hands.. just like my brother-in-law .. Richard. You should see the chrome door handles he has on one of his trucks. I hear it is very durable and there was no hassle in installation as well.

Yes.. she was so funny.. and i donch know what trigger her to dance like that.. on our way home from Halifax a few weeks ago. We were at Macdonald’s having our dinner.. it was late… but you all know the later.. the more awake the brat was. Enjoy the movie and her silliness.

I woke up.. went to the washroom.. and the brat tried to get outta her bedroom. I went in quickly .. to help her.. and there was blood all over her hands.. blood all over her bed.. and blood all her over her clothes..!!

I WAS SHOCKED..!! SCREAMED for PB..!!! almost crying.. but stopped myself .. didn’t wanna frighten the brat.

I usually have to scream at PB .. to eat his meals.. but recently instead of just my walnut and raisin bread.. i switched and bought croissants instead .. and the man does like this.. and eat this up for breakfast.. and sometimes.. as dinner. So he does eat afterall.. and the decision to change bread is a good one.

Many years ago, before we had our lil’ brat we made a trip up to the States, we had to go through New York .. to reach Connecticut. We were visiting.. my gal pal’s mother-in-law .. but we had planned to stay a few days in New York.. afterall, how can you go to the States without seeing the big Apple.

Just thought I would try and show everyone .. how downtown, Halifax looked like. So that everyone wouldn’t think the town i am in . .is the same as the city. Halifax is the city. . and Yarmouth is not. It is not vibrant.. nor does it have anything spectacular to show. Unlike a 4 hrs drive away.. in Halifax.. they have almost everything.. and hotels are aplenty. The hotels we have here.. in Y-Town.. well..i’ll have to say.. is nothing compared to home.. that’s for sure.

Our lil’ hospital trooper.. getting ready to be put to sleep to get her teeth fixed. She was pretty good.. and surprising.. she didn’t cry at all .. the whole time they were preparing her to go into the OR. Everyone commented what a happy kid she was… and she was dancing.. and singing.. and giggling.. and all.. before following the nurses to the OR.

We’ve received gifts from IZEA .. for Valentine and have yet to write about that too.

I just want to say .. THANK YOU to everyone.. we’ve not forgotten.. but you all know how busy it had been for us.. since Christmas.. and then the move to our new store.. and of course .. the rejoicing of my immigration stuff.. and just yesterday.. we had to do major hospital stuff with Chloe.

The many warm messages sent over MSN .. and prayers for our Chloe was overwhelming. THANK YOU VERY MUCH..!! PB and I are indeed touched by all your kind gestures. THANK YOU and THANK YOU again.

Looks like hot pot right..?? or steamboat..??? Can be both actually.. for you all know that if i wanted to eat anything remotely close to home.. i would have to cook them myself… and try and improvised. Here I put together .. some beef balls.. and enoki mushrooms.. that i had gotten from Halifax.. because they are way cheaper at the Asian grocery store than at Sobeys. And i used the thai hot and sour soup paste .. and mixed them together.. and then add in some bee hoon.. and there i’ll have some spicy noodles. Not bad eh..??

I’ve always worried.. that should anything happened to me.. because of my poor health, what is gonna happen to the brat. But yesterday.. in the evening.. when the brat was stomping her feet. .and demanding something from me, her Papa came out from the computer room.. and discipline her on the spot.

While all this took time to soak in.. i am also aware.. that this would mean the brat of mine.. is never gonna grow up to be a “real” brat .. like some kids we see in our store. For Papa will set her straight.. and not let her go astray. Does your hubby step in when the kid is throwing tantrums..?? or leave it to you ..??

When we first bought this house of ours, our main intention was to leave the upstairs to me.. while the downstairs is to be turned and renovated into a recreation room for the man. Given that we spend so much time together.. since we own our own business, it was a very good idea then. To complete that recreation room, some home theater chairs is a definite must to go with our 52″ TV .. that we already owned. So it’s time to do some serious savings now.

Tomorrow at 6.45am is the big day for the brat, she is gonna get her teeth fixed. But because she is so young, they have to put her to sleep.. before they can do it. We already went thru’ the scenario about what we needed to do at the hospital.. but i know.. when the time comes tomorrow.. she wouldn’t go with the nurse. We are not allow to follow her till they put her to sleep, so i am dreading it big time.

It’s just that we never had to fix our teeth so young and seriously we donch give the brat alot of candies either.. so i donch know how she has gotten so many decay teeth. Oh well.. !

I love going there..when i am up in the city. They even have durian there..!!! not dodoh . .but the real deal. I buy the Jelly Tots. .that you can’t get from anywheres around Y-Town.. so i stock up.. when i go to the city.

Thought I would show everyone an orange lobster.. before it is being cooked.. since the blue lobster fascinated some.. Usually lobster is dirty dark brown in color before they are being cooked.. and they turn orangey-red .. when they are cooked.. but this one is alive… when we saw it with that blue lobster. If anyone wants a close up ..on the blue lobster.. let me know.
