Motherhood Changes One

It is really strange .. how motherhood changes a person. For someone who travelled so much for work .. before having the lil’ brat.. and staying in hotels for months on ends.. living in a suitcase…. i now have no desire whatsoever to leave home .. at all. If i hadn’t been able to bring the brat along.. i donch think i ever wanna come to the city.
For someone who only thought about where to go shopping the next day, I can only think of what to get for breakfast for the brat.. for we donch have the usual breakfast she is used to at home.
Does motherood do this to you too..?? I know PB had some changes too.. but different ones.. hhahaha!! i’m sure he wouldn’t mind going for a break without the brat for a few days.. but not me.. if i can’t see the brat for a day, i think i would be crying.. muahahha!!

  3. Hi, I work for an international discussion programme on BBC World Service radio called World Have Your Say and came across your blog while searching on the Internet. Today (Wednesday) we are talking about the issue of whether its acceptable for women to admit that they don’t find everything about motherhood positive, and were wondering if you would be interested in taking part in the discussion. We are on air from 6pm to 7pm London time (1pm to 2pm East Coast time in the States). If you are interested, please send me your phone numbers to martin.vennard@bbc.co.uk and I will call you to confirm the arrangements or call me on 011442075570635 and I will call you straight back.
    Many thanks

I am the same way like you, I am ok with just a few hours away without him around, but I don’t think I can leave him else where for one night!

  7. just a little while more and you will be able to have a cuppa in peace for a while. sending aidan to 3 year old kinder was one of the best decision. not only he benefits from it, now he is confident at the next level. of course, i benefit too lar.

having said that, of course it changes my whole life! i may have been that career woman out there :P

  8. It has changed me 360 degrees too. Though my kids drive me up the wall, when I am separated from them for just a few hours, I will already start to miss them and worry about them, how ironic eh? Me time is good… it makes us miss our kids!

  9. Yes, it has changed me for sure. Like you, I will never be able to leave the boy for even a day.
