Gracias

Filed under: Brat Stuff, Amusing/Musing - Mama BoK @ 6:43 pm

Last nite.. while going home from the store for dinner.. at around 7pm (we were running late).. PB quickly ran into Superstore to get me some fresh roasted chicken for the brat’s dinner and mine. We didn’t go into the grocery store with him.. because it was cold. .and we were quite late already .. as PB needed to go back to work by 7.30pm.

A few minutes after PB left the car . .the brat wanted to get her safety belt out because she had an itch… and was getting upset. Of course, I jumped into action .. and released her belts.. and she took care of her itch immediately. When she was alright.. she said.. “gracias” .. muahahhahahaah!!!! yup..! it was “thank you” in Spanish… too much Dora .. eh.. ;)

Wise Investment In Gold

Filed under: Useful Links 101 - Mama BoK @ 5:25 pm

Universally accepted, that was what my great grandmother said to us, when we were younger. The Chinese strongly believed in investing in gold bullion or anything gold. Asked any Asians.. and they will tell you, how they were given gifts of gold in form of jewelry since young. Gifts of gold are most welcome just about in any occasion.

I myself have never seen gold go down in prices drastically and that is enough to say how safe it is for investment purposes. And in times of turbulence, you can be sure that your investment is protected plus will continue to be a valuable source of income. For the serious investors, the exclusive Monex certified 10 ounce gold ingot made of .9999 pure gold is what you should take a look at.

A few days ago, i had written about missing Karissa Boudreau, 12 years old gone missing for a few weeks. Last week, they found a body.. and i prayed it wouldn’t be Karissa. As a mother, we can all well-imagine what her family was going thru’. Late Thursday, it was confirmed thru’ dental records, that the slain body was of Karissa. My heart just felt so heavy. Homicide said the police. I don’t know what to think .. to be honest with you. I just feel very, very sad. I am not even living near Bridgewater.. nor do we know Karissa or her family.. but I feel their pain. Bringing up a kid for 12 yrs.. is not easy.. and for her to die this way.. after fighting over something that may at that time.. be important.. but now seems insignificant.. i feel for her family. God bless them .. and help them thru’ this very difficult time.

Everytime, the brat goes to bed and sleep for the whole nite.. we make a big deal outta it .. just so she knows we are happy .. that she did that. And then we would encouraged her to sleep the whole nite every nite… in which she replied recently.. “I’ll tryyyy.. mama .. but I don’t have superpowers all the time” .. muahahhahahah!!!

In which my reply is .. “ok.. you try harder ok..??”

Spring Break Gataway

Spring is when the weather in Canada starts to warm up .. and the snow starts to melt. After hibernating for a good 4 - 5 months because of winter, I can understand why the Canadians rush to go and take a break in the city or just unwind and bask in the sun by the pool.

With the move to the new location and finally settling down, this year we hope with the change of business hours at our store, we are planning for a Spring Break Getaway. Prince Edward Island or PEI is where we had planned to visit for the last few years but never got around to doing it.

I’ve good experiences and stayed with the Delta Hotels in both Halifax Barrington and Delta Chelsea before, therefore, this vacation, we will choose the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown too. Their family packages are awesome and my 4 yrs old toddler, don’t even have to pay for the food consume from the children’s menu. I would always choose the Delta Hotel because they were the only reservation department who was willing to accommodate and negotiate our room rate on an emergency trip up to Halifax.

What’s up with these TVB shows.. these days..???!!!?? the inserting of the english language.. right in the middle of their conversation.. and it’s not just one or two of the actor or actresses doing it.. it everyone..!!! So un-natural..!! I know for sure.. that most hong kong folks do not talk like that.. except drama-rama ppl..! Ang moh donch say lah.. of course.. they talk in english.. and some speaks perfect cantonese too.

I’ve just watched episode 20 tonite.. and it was pretty good in the end.. although at first.. i found it quite childish.. but overall.. it’s pretty good.. so watch if you like Bobby Au-Yeung .. and i still cannot get over Angela Tong’s nose.. i think she had some cosmetic surgery done.. no..??
