Sushi @ Hamachi
We didn’t managed to eat at Dharma Sushi .. and that is my greatest regret.. but the folks at Hamachi although very nice and accomodating, they certainly donch know what they are selling. An “ang moh” chef in the kitchen.. and a chinese sushi master .. doesn’t really sound promising at all.
The sashimi set that i ordered weren’t fresh, the octopus cannot be eaten because it was too tough.. and the sashimi were thick slabs of fish.. that weren’t delicate at all.
At $22, it certainly wasn’t worth eating.. but the best part of it.. was.. i asked for chawanmushi.. and the waitress very casually told me.. she had never heard of it before.. nor will the kitchen.. or the chef. I then asked for omu rice.. because of Chloe.. and again.. she didn’t know what i was talking about. It was as good.. as talking to her in mandarin or malay.
thats weird though cause when Frank is in Halifax, he normally order something off the menu from the chinese restaurant and they normally know. cause u know lah, he will order something from msia or singapore wan.
