This is a home made lemon meringue by Aunt Rainy, for the lunch we had last Sunday. I’ll have to say.. that “ang mohs” hor.. very good at baking.. and making all sorts of bread, cakes.. and cookies. My mother-in-law’s sisters.. they all can bake like nobody’s business..! And my MIL can whip up a cake.. in no time. I’ve also noticed hor.. “ang moh” men.. hor.. they also like to bake..

The man was asked to be in a wedding of a friend.. as a groomsmen, and of course he agreed, since it was his childhood friend. Luckily, the bride and the groom gave their groomsmen gift, way before the wedding.. else, i would have bought the same cufflinks for the man… to go with his suit. It was a very nice gesture.. to remember not only the bridemaids.. but the groomsmen as well. Unlike another childhood friend of the man.. who didn’t even give anything to show his appreciation for his best man.

As usual .. this trip home .. Godma again.. was able to bring Chloe out for a drive and shopping.. and even to the park. Chloe was really eager to go out with Godma.. although .. she wouldn’t go out with anyone else. Godma.. must have a special place in Chloe’s heart. We can’t leave her at Grammie’s house.. but she would go out with Godma.. for drives.. and stuff. Strange brat..!

My trip back to Asia is long overdue. It is time to go home for a vacation. Funny i should call Asia home still.. even though I’ve been in Canada for so long.. and applying for citizenship. I guess deep, deep down in my heart .. home will always be in Asia.. and nothing will and can change that. And this trip home, I’m going to need a good luggage sets, so that i can buy all the asian food i can’t get from Canada and bring them back with me.. after my vacation. Boy..! will the custom officer be amused.. when they open my luggage.

I checked the weather.. and it’s still going good..!! woohoo..!!! that only means one thing eh..?? going to the CITY..!! WOOHOO..!! DHAMRA SUSHI and DIM SUM here i come..!!

This is our first mini vacation.. after so many years. And no worries.. about the store.. and staffing..! No morning employee..?? no worries.. we still survived.. and it has been almost a year..!!

When one tell people that you are going to Australia for a vacation, people just naturally assumes that you are going to Sydney and Gold Coast is flooded with tourist. Hotels in Gold Coast are sure having one of the highest occupancy, for every asian that I know, flock over there for all their sports activities. Afterall, Gold Coast is not call Surfer’s Paradise for nothing.

There are many hotels in surfers paradise, and depending on what you want and the locality, you can definitely find one that is affordable and comfortable. Don’t forget to drop by Perth since they are really close by. Perth hotels are just as nice and you will find loads of things to do in Western Australia.

Uncle Jerry has always been the happy uncle we all know. We donch see them very often.. but when we do.. we are always happy.. coz’ he is fun. See how happy the brat was playing with her Granduncle. And nope.. in “ang moh” town.. we donch call him Granduncle.. just Uncle Jerry.. The hierarchy of address the elderly is totally different.. from what we are used to back home, even PB calls Aunt Helena.. just “helena” most times. But i wouldn’t want my brat to grow up .. ” mo tai mo sai” .. so i’m instilling the aunties and uncles.. so she knows.
