Ironic..?? nah.. “THIS IS YARMOUTH!” yes.. i know you get the hint by now. But it’s true.. anything bad, funny, weird, too weird, too stupid, too outrageous.. now say it together with me.. “THIS IS YARMOUTH..!”

The father-in-law does lots of logging during the winter and because of that he needs a good pick up truck. But the brother-in-law who is much younger is very much into style and wants not only a good pick up truck but also a stylist one, so that when he isn’t working in the woods, he can cruise in it and look for girlfriends and of course to show of too.

For “feng shui” reasons, I have always wanted to put a fish tank at our store, of course with fishes too. I hear that it is good fortune to do it and it also means.. that all the bad “chi” will be blocked by the fish tank and its fishes. Of course one wouldn’t need many fish tanks, around the store or business to help the growth of one’s business, just one will do but it has to be put in a strategic place according to the “feng shui” master. Every year during Christmas, we try to donate something to the hospital. It is our way of giving back to society .. and doing a good deed. A tour around the hospital by the woman club that i am a member, also saw the need of new computer carts for the hospital. Yes.. for those of you who donch know.. it’s usually cold here.. so we either have a vest.. or a jacket.. or a sweater.. and with that of course got zippers lah..! All these years.. PB always zips Chloe up.. because i can’t seems to do it properly. PB said.. i wasn’t holding the zipper correctly.

Just the other day.. i was trying to zip chloe.. and couldn’t..!! so chloe took the zipper out.. turned backwards.. and told me.. “ok.. you can try it again now mum.. ” muahhahahaha!!! yup..! my daughter knows.. i’m a zipper retard.. but it just so funny.. because she knows i can zip her up better.. with her back facing me.. instead of her face facing me upfront.

As a mother.. we are all worried about our child’s education… and I.. yours truly is no different. Here in Canada .. we have what they call the French Immersion School, where children get to learn a second language - French ..! but of course..! Many parent has different reasons for wanting to put their child into French Immersion.. but mostly, they want their child to have the edge of adulthood as many government jobs requires that they speak French.

My MIL, is Acadian French, and when PB was much younger.. he speaks in French too. Back home in Asia.. we too learn several 2nd and 3rd languages.. like Mandarin and Bahasa Malay.. 2 common ones… and of course.. some schools provides the japanese language as an option for 3rd language. We coped .. and so will my brat i believe.

But my reason for sending her to French Immersion is a very selfish reason. I donch want Chloe to be at the south end school. Why..?? because i heard it is a bad school. And the place where we are staying in is zoned for that school and chloe would have to go to the South End School.. if we choose not to send her to French Immersion. So there you have it.. i’m a “kiasu” mum.. my FIL says i’m a chinese jew.. and that’s not for nothing eh..?? muahahhahahah!

Well sometimes.. mauahhahahaha!! made soup for the brat .. last nite at 3am.. in slow cooker.. then woke up .. cooked breakfast.. and then washed dishes.. and then .. cooked rice.. and then cooked dinner as well for the brat.. and made enough for my own lunch.

Tell me.. i’m not superWoman..!! muahhahaha!!! and of course.. washed everything up.. that was needed to clean up. And still made it to the store in time.. muahahhahaha!! can packed up all of chloe’s food and snacks.. and so forth.

We’ve just registered our daughter into her new school for the next term and was taken for a tour around the school. It sure was a very nice school and compared to the rest of the schools in town, this one has the best facilities in every aspect.

A look around in their science labs, we noticed that some organization is needed and some computer carts, for both the students and teachers would really come in handy. The desk that those computers are on in the lab, was just too bulky and not suitable for a small lab. We then headed to the computer club in the school and yes, they badly needed some LAN Racks, as there were just too many computers lying around.

A few nites before Halloween .. we had a halloween parade on Main Street. It was quite shocking because we didn’t know about it at all. And by the time we clued in .. the parade was almost over. But it was still a pathetic parade.. coz’ the street was dark.. nobody seems to know that there was a parade! not many folks on the street and for us as business owners on Main street, not informed about this.. can be real bad for our business. Coz’ road block, customers donch know.. and prolly an irate customer/s who would vowed not to come downtown no more. Organizers are sure great in this town eh..?

First of all.. I’ll have to give credit where credit is due. The person who served us.. was the most cheerful person I’ve ever seen in my entire years in Y-town.. but the Snack Place is nothing fanciful.. and food is nothing to shout about either. Let just say.. the clams are ordinary.. and for the price we are paying.. it would be really nice.. if it didn’t look like we are in a 70s diner. I haven’t had clams for a good 5.5 yrs.. so i decided to try some.. well.. as you can see.. i didn’t finished it.. it was jaw breaking.
