Yes.. we finally went for a movie date..! if not for the stupid gal .. and the cop.. who came in to look at the thieves who stole her DVDs from her house.. (caught on our camera, trying to sell us stolen goods), that’s another story altogether, it would have been perfect. Coz’ we could have gotten a sandwich before the movies.. and I wouldn’t be starving and nursing a headache.. while watching the movie.

It has been a long time .. since we went for a movie. Every parents i am sure knows what i am talking about. And it was not a planned date either.. because even though it was a Thanksgiving Monday… we still had the store opened (the boss is a slave driver). We watched.. the Heartbreak Kid.. with Ben Stiller in it.. and it was pretty good.. i’ll have to say. But since we only had chocolates and nuts to munched on.. it didn’t really helped with the hunger pangs. And if you know me.. you’ll know.. how i would turn into a B.I.T.C.H .. when i get hungry.

But all is not wasted.. since we did finally get out for movie. Maybe next time.. i’ll do the planning instead..!

We had home made pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving last Sunday… and guess who made it from scratch..?? Yup.. Grammie of course..! My MIL makes great desserts..! I think it is an “ang moh” thing eh..?? For the life of me.. I’ll never be able to do this.. muahahhaha!! Even PB bakes cookies and stuff..hhahah!! how undomesticated I am.

I am rather cheesed off with the cops here.. why..?? because once again.. they are just GREAT..!! pun intended..! As you all know we trade and sell stuff at our store. And when someone comes in to sell something to us.. we try our utmost best to decide .. if they were stolen goods or not..! yes.. ppl do come in and sell us stolen goods.. and if for any reason .. we suspect something is not right.. we wouldn’t even wanna have anything to do with it. Like I said.. many a times before.. PB and I are pure cowards.. we never dare to do anything that is remotely against the law.

So here we are being the good and law-abiding citizens that we are.. as soon as someone comes in .. and say they have their stuff stolen.. we look thru’ our records.. and help as much as we can.. and even pull out video shots of those who were suspected of selling us stolen good… in our own time.. at our own expense.. thus losing out on the money we actually paid out for those “stolen” goods.

Folks ask alot about friends for Chloe .. since she doesn’t attend pre-school or daycare.. and she is always with us.. in the store.. or at home.. with her babysitter.. during the days.. we have to work nites. I used to worry about the brat’s social skills.. and if she would know how to protect herself .. when the time comes.. when she goes to school.. and needs to fend for herself. PB fears nothing about it.. maybe it’s because he was such a quiet kid.. and he still make out good.. but the mother bear in every mom.. wants what is best for her child. For I know.. that the brat wouldn’t know what to do.. in the event where she does get pushed or bully.

Although she meets with all sorts of ppl in the store.. they only get to play for a couple of minutes.. so you see why I am kinda worried..?? I seriously think my kid is the only one .. not in childcare.. it seems. But because of that.. i also see that my kid is well-fed.. well cared for.. and of course better manners that most here. So yes.. the pros and cons.. eh..? What do mummies out there think..?? should i farm my kid out..??
