I cooked ABC soup for the brat with a twist. No potatoes nor onions.. but red dates, wolfberries and of course the famous corns. See here .. Chloe wolfing down the corn.. because she thinks they are corns from Grampie’s. So she decided that Grammie is the “Best Cook In the World” today..!! Muahahhaha!! she thought Grammie cooked the soup for her. She had the corn before she had her lunch..and the bowl beside her is with soup and carrots and some pork. She had 2 bowls of it.. and said she had enough. I’ve never seen the lil’ brat like something as much as her corns and her peas.

I wrote about the Tourism Session scheduled this month and it was held today. We didn’t even planned to attend because we knew from the start that it is gonna come to naught. As i am typing this right now, there is a group of teenagers making so much din opposite our store and watcha gonna do about it..?? No one cares.. and no one is willing to take a step forward to look at the real problems downtown is facing.

Customers who attended the meeting said that there was no outcome.. and the mayor didn’t wait for the meeting to be over.. and slipped out the back door. NICE..! i think all those that depends on tourism to keep them afloat .. should prolly forget about the idea. A new president was elected too.. for the ppl who organized the Seafest here annually. I suspect he was elected because he was the one in charge of the bike rally that we had during summer. It was a success for the most part but i can assure you, we didn’t make a cent out of those bikers who came to town. So did it helped us. Absolutely no..! I just hope that the rest of the town did benefit from it though.

Something needs to be done for a major turnaround. By building a new municipality building for $4 - 5 million bucks just ain’t gonna do it. While you enjoy the new building a few year down the road, we can kiss downtown goodbye.

Christmas is just round the corner and you and I know how tough it is .. during occasion like this, because buying gifts for your loved ones, friends and extended family can be quite a task if you ask me. Every year I plan way ahead as to what to get for who.. but it isn’t easy at all, because you really want to give because you care and all gifts shouldn’t be bought just because you need to, you have to buy gifts because you want to show you care, you love. Christmas gift ideas are welcome for anyone who needs to buy Christmases gifts, if you have one to suggest for me, please let me know, because I only want to buy gifts out of love and careful consideration.

The brat is addicted to the computer. She knows exactly what to do.. and knows what educational programs she have. Thanks to a great customer/friend Rod who keeps giving her software .. my brat has never ending of fun time on the computer. And yes.. that’s her puter.

I love BBQs and anything that can gather the family together.. to eat and to be merry. I don’t even need an excuse to have a gathering, i think it is because I was so deprived of having a big, jolly family when i was a young kid. My cousins, aunties and uncles are so distanced.. we were never closed at all.

So now that I am in Canada.. and my spouse’s family is HUGE..!! I just love it big time. My dream is to have an outdoor kitchen, for entertaining them.. and for my kid’s friends.. when she goes to school. Having an outdoor kitchen has it advantages i am very sure, no more dirtying the home kitchen .. while we entertain.. and no worries about the kids dumping all their dirty dishes indoors.

Yes.. we’ll sell anything that makes money. And since it’s for my FIL .. we actually donch care.. if it makes money for us.. we just sell it at the price .. my FIL wants it for. So if you are looking for pumpkins.. you’ll know where to find them. We already sold quite a few this week.

A very long time customer came into our store.. today.. and Chloe being Chloe remembered him.. and his name and all. When he was about to leave the store.. Chloe asked PB .. “where’s is grandmother…??” I’ll have to let you know that this customer is pretty old in age… but young at heart.

And PB answered a matter-of-factly to the brat.. “prolly in the ground” .. muahahhaha!! it’s too funny lah..!! i’m sure it’s true.. and if you know PB … he has humor that only when you know him well.. you’ll understand it. But of course Chloe didn’t catch the joke.. but still.. i almost choked..!

A guy walked into our store today.. and dropped a file with some papers in it and said.. to us.. “I volunteered to do this today..!” and expects us to donate something..?? He didn’t say.. what chartable organization he is doing this for.. or how the donation will be used. Nothing at all..! And he didn’t even further elaborate.. ! So we absolutely donch know .. what the charity is for ..??

Some ppl just shouldn’t be doing voluntary work.. or collecting charitable donations.

A very unique store, I’ll have to say, even i took a liking to it immediately. Some of the goodies sold here.. are not only edible but they are really cute..!! and very unique..!! i bet those receiving these gifts would be equally amused.. and find them memorable.

The personalized mint tins can be used for any occasion, as for me, I am thinking of getting it for my customer/s for Christmas, they are really lovely, if you ask me. I bet my customers would love it.. and remember us each time they use it. They have plenty of party favors, for you to choose from, all of them are really nice and cutesy. But temporary resident in Yarmouth County had other plans for “Ralph” .. that’s the lobster’s name. Nope.. he didn’t BBQ Ralph .. nor is he keeping Ralph for a pet. Can you guess what he did..??? It is really nice to know that there are good ppl out there.. if that gives you a hint.

The money that was paid for Ralph is going to the Alzheimer Society. So even though Canadian posties were not included in the recent opportunity to promote the Alzheimer Society, we still did our part.

For everyone who can guess what was done to “Ralph” .. i’ll donate a dollar for every right answer to the Alzheimer Society. So come on.. make your guesses.. and donate for a good cause.

Sometimes.. i too wonder how i do it.. cook.. work.. clean up.. look after the brat.. feed her.. and more cleaning.. and more cooking for the next day. And the routine goes on and on. Usually i donch have to cook for PB .. i only need to take care of the brat’s meal .. and that alone is quite taxing. But today.. i managed not only to cook for the brat, baked chicken for PB .. and double boil soup for the brat the next day too. Washed dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. And even managed to put the brat down to bed tonite.

Mothers and wife are just amazing creatures.. who can juggle time.. and multi-tasks. My mum used to juggle her time to cook at least one meal a day for us. I can now understand why she gets real agitated.. if things are not within her control and the way she planned it. I never thought i would say this.. but i’m as anal as my mum..! muahahahah!

The things a child say.. can really warm your heart so much.. I sometimes donch know where she gets it from.. or what i did good to deserve such a good and smart and warm loving kid.

This evening… while feeding her some “chinese” noodles.. the brat turned around and said this to me… “Mom.. you are the best cook in the world..!” muahahahhaha!! you tell me.. that doesn’t shocked you first.. and then warms your heart so much.. you just wanna drop everything and cry… and hug her..! I was very tickled too.. and you know what.. chloe is so sensitive.. coz’ she knows exactly what we need to do at work.. or on the computer.. and she takes in just about everything you say.

Tonite.. i didn’t spend time on the puter.. because i didn’t have anymore work to do. You know what Chloe said to me.. “Mom.. you have no opps to take..??” .. muahahhahaha!! You tell me lah..!! how can all these smartness not warm my heart leh..?? I’m forever grateful to the ONE up there.. for giving me such a lovely kid..! and all i want for her is to be healthy and happy always. AMEN..!
