PB came back shortly .. and i told him what happened. After feeding the brat lunch, he went to the office to look at the camera files, came up. .and told me .. yes.. the stupid black thief did indeed steal a box of blank empty cassettes. Yes.. it is BLANK EMPTY CASSETTES. Now how stupid is that.. i ask you ..?? In this day and time.. who would be using blank empty cassettes..??

We donch know to be pissed or to laugh it off .. because boy.. must he be stupid.. or something else….!! PB did call the cops .. because he didn’t want the stupid thief to think that he got away with it.. even though we had no intention about pressing charges. The cops called back.. and since we didn’t have the thief in holding.. he said.. he was gonna come a little later.. to look at our security camera.

A couple of hours later.. Keegan first saw the stupid thief walk by our store .. and PB went out of the store.. to see if it was really the thief .. and what good timing.. the cops came. PB said to the cops .. “blue jacket .. black guy” .. cop turned around.. and nabbed the stupid thief at the carpark.

I love cupcakes and so does my lil’ brat but baking has never been one of my forte but these days when i see all those fanciful cupcakes in the stores, I cannot help but drool and wonder how tough it is to make those cute little cupcakes for my lil’ brat and the daddy.

And like every mom and wife, we do want to keep the kids and spouse contented and do something for them to boast about. Yes.. yesterday we had a shoplifter at our store. He had actually come into our store just after we opened.. and had brought up a game asking me to reserve it for him.. and that his g/f “Emily” was gonna come in to rent it for him. Two hours later.. he came back.. and i was very busy serving customers on my own.. because PB and Chloe had gone to get lunch. Stupid thief was acting suspiciously and i was watching him from the corner of my eye.. but because the shelves were tall.. i can’t see anything.. unless i turned on the security camera on the computer, which i didn’t .. because i didn’t think he would be so stupid.. since there were pictures of shoplifters where he was standing.. already indicating to his stupid black ass.. that we have security camera.

Anyhow.. he left after abit.. and after serving the last customer.. i walked around the store.. and checked all my items .. and found that a box of blank cassette tapes were missing. But i wasn’t sure.. because .. sometimes.. PB loves to move things around.. without even knowing where he had placed them. So i waited for PB to come back….

My cousin who will be visiting his extended family during Thanksgiving this year had called and asked me to find him some tickets for the NCAA Tournament, his two teenage sons whom he hasn’t seen for a few years now are ardent fans of football. I know he wanted to do this to bond with them and to share their passion, so I went to the only place I know that can provide tickets even for sold out games.

I sincerely hope that besides the unforgettable entertainment experience, sons and father can also have a memorable experience to last a lifetime, for kids don’t stay young forever. I’m just happy that I found Ticket Solutions for them, and there was really nothing else I needed to do, for they deliver the tickets through FEDEX to your mailing address on your credit card.

As promised to G from G&G Rocks in Sydney, this is one of my pantry. I had to convert my coat closet to another pantry because we just had too much food.. muahhahah!!! What you think ..G..?? See how messy my pantry is.

It is in our Asian culture to give “pocket money” to our parents as soon as we are able to work and earn our own money. Because it is term as being filial in our culture and it has been practiced for many thousands of years, right from my forefathers time. So even though I am currently residing in Canada, my mom would still expect me to send money home to her as a gesture us being filial piety and it gives her a topic to boast to her cronies that even though her daughter is married and lives so far away, we are still thinking of her long distance. You might think that it is a silly culture but you ask any Asian, whether they are from China, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines or Japan, they would understand and give you a long brief about this “pocket money” term.

I’ve been residing in Canada for 7 years now and initially, I wire transfer all those “pocket money” on a monthly basis to my mom through the local bank here. For those who have ever sent money through the bank will know that bank transfers are not cheap at all. I paid close to $25.00 in fees every time I did a bank transfer and the bank back home takes another $25.00 out of the money I sent my mum. My mum was pretty upset because after all it was good money they were taking out from her bank account which she thinks is rightfully hers. But the bank had its rules and there was a charge in receiving foreign funds, so we were told. Convincing my mother that it was quite alright about the fees, just didn’t go well with her for she figured she was losing like a good $400 a year inclusive of exchange rate fees. Money that she could put to good use.

I realized that i do not do well with confrontation..! it shakes me up a little, even if it is only on the phone. I called a customer on my late list.. telling her .. that her movie wasn’t back.. and she was pretty indignant about having dropped it off.. already.. when in the first place.. she couldn’t even remember what the movie was.. when i told her the name. She said.. she won’t rent from us again.. and i could send her to the collections if i wanted too, even though i told her I had already double checked and the movie wasn’t in at all.

She said to me.. “well you better check again..!” and that got me really worked up.. and i said.. ok.. i’ll see you in collections then! and hung up. I was pretty upset..! but i went to check another time.. for the movie all over the store.. and true enough.. it was slotted in another slot .. not the right one.

Boy..!! is this embarrassing or what..!! now that made me even more upset..!! now i’ll have to call and apologized..! bummer..!!

Melbourne is the second most populous city in Australia. I’ve always loved Melbourne, not only because its standard of living is not as high as in Sydney, they have great events in Melbourne, the wine, food and the art scene are fabulous. Major art exhibition and musical extravaganzas are always in their agendas. With so many things to offer, it is no wonder a young couple like my niece and her husband would think of migrating to Melbourne, Australia. But we all know that uprooting to a completely different country can be quite stressful and scary.

But the possibilities are endless in Melbourne and finding Jobs in Melbourne, for both husband and wife, isn’t that difficult with some help from the Gumtree site. My niece is into childcare and her husband is a Marketing guy, and they cannot wait to be connected with people who have migrated from other places to Melbourne.

With the help of the Gumtree community, they were able to find an ideal apartment, buy a used car and found furnitures that they needed for their apartment. Time will tell if they will survive in Melbourne or they might get too homesick. But at least holidays back home is only 8 hrs away, so it isn’t that tough afterall.

An American tourist had just left our store.. after buying a few used movies .. ran back into our store.. and asked for the time.. and when i told him it was like 3pm.. he was so relieved. Why because the darn town clocked had shown that it was like 5pm and his boat leaves at 4pm I think.

Talk about trying to boost tourism in this town.. !! well .. fix the darn town clock first..!! and stop giving the poor tourist a heart attack..!! It’s simple things like these.. they cannot even get it right. And i know exactly what they are gonna tell me if i write in to complain about the clock..! that they had looked and repaired it many times.. or something along those lines..! Well.. if you had.. and it’s still not working.. and you still have it left up there.. instead of changing the blardy clock..!!! yer all are an old good for nothing farts.. running this town..!
