Compliments Should Be Taken Gracefully
Ppl should learn how to take compliment gracefully. Today, a couple and their 3 children was our the store .. just window shopping i guess. I quickly commented on how beautiful their daughter’s hair were. Coz’ it was curly.. and a headful. And the response I got from her father was.. “see if you feel the same way .. if you were the one combing her hair every morning..!” and he continued.. “do you want to try combing her hair every morning..?? then you tell me . .if you still like her hair..!”
I thought that was so rude..! If someone were to compliment my kid.. i would just smile and say thank you very much. Simple as that.. and yer’ll be appreciated more.
I think you are very correct. I have given friends and co-workers compliments on their clothes and instead of saying,”Thank you”, they say, “oh, its just an old thing I put on”. People need to know more about how to give and receive compliments correctly.
