I had written earlier that we were at Misha’s Cafe last Sunday right..?? As soon as we walked into the cafe.. we saw Tom.. with this huge ice cream..!! And this picture doesn’t do it justice.. because it was huge.. and definitely value for money. .like i said. And for Chloe’s ice-cream… i know they didn’t charge as much.. because .. the total bill came up to really reasonable. Oh .. and if you are wondering who Tom is.. he is someone that PB knows.. from when Tom was really young. This is a very small town.. like i said. .and everyone knows everyone.. ! For the 1.5hrs that we were there eating.. we met quite a few ppl dropping in to get some ice creams mostly.

We finally made it to Misha’s Cafe last Sunday!! all winter.. i can think of nothing but my reuben sandwich.. and ice cream for Chloe. Misha’s cafe serves good food.. and at the best prices. PB, Chloe and I had a full meal for like only 15 bucks. As you can see Chloe loves her ice cream.. and if we didn’t stop Jessie (the gal who works there) and asked her not to fill up the ice cream cone.. she would have a really big ice cream. Value for money.. and friendly service.

Yes.. this is the CAT..! not your regular pet cat.. that Boo from masak-masak loves.. but a high powered boat that carries the tourist from Maine to Y-Town., travelling at 40 knots.. it can be quite choppy .. if the water is rough.

And the reason why we have a love-hate relationship with them is because .. they re-scheduled the CAT so many times.. to currently suit the Portland and Bar Harbour businesses better. We are left with nothing .. and we are not even open .. when the Tourist comes to town. I know the negotiation had been going back and forth.. but i also know that the runs are fewer this year… and today.. i just spoke to someone influential from town.. and he too wants to migrate to the south.. since hotel occupancy is currently at 40% now. Big blow for the local business here.

Are you like me who only watch a movie just once..?? and never watch it ever again..! or read a story book or any kinda magazines just once over.. and then put it away…?? What a waste right..?? Yup.. !! i usually don’t even know who to give these stuff away to.

Reading the Vanguard (our local paper) yesterday.. got me really worked up..! Why..?? because someone can arm rob you .. and the following week.. he can be out walking around town.. and waiting for his trial.. and in the meantime.. he can prolly skip town.. while he is on house arrest or worst.. commit another crime.. rob someone else.. or break into someone else’s house.

Yup.. many a times.. when we read that someone is caught for doing this and that.. or even stealing an ambulance..!! what is done..?? no charges laid .. because not enough evidence.. or most time.. they get adjourned .. and again .. adjourned.. till thy kingdom come. And I tell you .. !! what is so hard to charge someone.. who has got like 100 charges against him ..?? I donch know the reason for all these .. and this is really a very small town.. and surely .. it doesn’t take too long .. to gather all information.. or is it the lawyers here..?? that keeps pushing them back.. in the name of gathering more info..?? for their client..?? If so.. shouldn’t the judge.. the system here.. put a full-stop to it all..?? and get justice done..?

Yes.. I fear..! i fear not only for myself.. but for my daughter.. when she gets older..! will she be a victim.. of those who were let out.. on the street.. even though we know these crooks could do more harm..?

This year, we are seeing alot of tourist from the province itself. For those who donch know.. we are in the Maritime Provinces.. the whole of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland is considered the Atlantic Province. And you know what.. they are really way nicer.. than when the American market was booming.

Many years ago.. when I first came to Canada.. we had American tourist.. who insisted on getting American change back. That means.. if they buy something.. and give you American Dollars.. they wanted American dollars for change. And they even say things like .. “we want some real money back” .. hahahahaha!! Sometimes.. i donch even know.. to laugh at them for their ignorance.. or be angry.. ??

But like i said.. this year.. we’ve had more tourist from within the province and some from Toronto. And they are really nice..! a nice change for business owners like us. And not so much aggravation for the staff.

This week is exhibition week.. and by exhibition week.. i mean .. the ones we have in our Pasar Malam back home. Yup.. !! and you know what .. everyone here is so excited about it. And it’s way too expensive.. to go to these exhibition.. so every year.. PB and I don’t even think of it. And now with Chloe.. it’s just not worth pay like $25.00 just to go on those rides.. which are Pasar Malam style. Not your Ocean Park in Hong Kong style ok. Very old and very old fashioned. I’ll try and take some photos to show what i mean.

We expected it to be not so busy for us at Main Street, since the exhibition is at Starrs Road.. but we’ve had a good few days.. so we are actually quite pleased with it. And yes.. freaky too.. coz’ yesterday’s business.. was done in a good 15mins.. !! meaning all our money earned yesterday.. was in that 15mins.. spurt.. or rush .. as you can put it. And i assure you .. it was alot of money for a 15 mins..! Now if only we can open the store for 15mins a day.. and make all sorts of money like we did yesterday.. that would be so cool.. hahahahha!!

We have had lots of visitors.. since last weeks. Friends and family from far and near. And we are indeed touched.. by how everyone .. no matter how busy they are, they always make it a point to come visit Chloe .. our lil’ brat. And what’s more they are all so thoughtful… they always bring a gift for chloe.. and a thoughtful one too. Anyhow, as soon as the Goldens came yesterday to visit again.. Chloe remembers MAX..!!!! yup.. MAX..!!! and yes.. this was a gift from the Goldens.. and Chloe loves it.. !! she has been holding and reading the book the whole day. Thank you very much.. Max, Sam and Dave..!!

I’ve always wonder why she would choose a truck over a car.. and she is rugged like too.. riding motorbikes but you will be surprised because she sure don’t look like those big guys nor is she manly, she is just a very sweet looking gal and very tiny in built. For 3.5 yrs.. last Sunday was the first.. that i’ve let Chloe had instant noodles. Yup.. you heard right..! i never let her eat instant noodles because of the MSG in the noodles. When we were very young.. my mum .. no matter how poor we were.. never gave us instant noodles. She said.. not only is it not good for the health.. it makes your hair drop.

So yes.. chloe would eat rice.. fried rice.. and noodles.. fried in many ways.. she never got to eat instant noodles. And you know what.. ??!!?? She loved her instant noodles aplenty. But no matter what.. i’m still gonna minimize the intake of instant noodles if i can. Also i know PB donch like the brat to eat too many frozen food . . and stuff with MSG. Plus if you noticed .. chloe is brought up.. to eat everything moderately… be it a pop..or candies..or chips..or cookies.

I really think we are doing the right thing.. because if you donch bring them up right .. when they are young.. then you will have one obese kid before she reaches high school. So yup.. i’m sticking to my tupperwares.. and ration .. for the day… hahahhaha!! Meanie mummy..!!

Yes.. and it’s only the beginning of the week.. and PB already cooked two meals for the brat .. because i’m having my menses. .and the first 2 days.. is always bad. So being the good Papa .. he doesn’t really like the brat to eat too many outside food, he cooked beef stew for the brat on Monday and today .. he made hamburger helper with chicken instead of beef.. because he knows i donch like the brat to eat too much beef.

Yup.. very the “chee tong” one.. no need to ask him to cook .. he did it this month.. without me having to be “mung chang”. So i’m pretty pleased lor.. can’t complain lar.. and gotta pick my battles lor.. Oh btw.. i eat the beef stew.. but i’ll never touch the hamburger helper.. and to be honest.. i donch know why… i just feel not healthy lor.. hahha!! silly me.. i know..!

I have no need for tool boxes, but the man of the house does. We don’t have great many tools in the house but the spouse can be very handy, so we do have like a whole boxful of it in the basement.

If i had to choose a tool box for the spouse, i would definitely have to think about what he likes first. Nothing fanciful and must be manly and not colorful. The black medium tool box would be what he would carry around in and outside of the house. It has so many neat compartments that holds wrenches, screw drivers, rain resistant, power coat finishing and a lifetime warranty as well. But i think my father-in-law needs one more than us.

The weather has been so hot and humid.. we’ve been dressing chloe down.. and these are very rare times.. that you see her dressing so little. That day .. she wanted to play with the glow sticks that were already not glowing.. since she used it a few nites ago.. during the seafest. And she looked like La Zha in the makings not..?? hahah!!
