The WOK..!

I hate to do it but i’m left with little choice, since it is not cooking my food properly anymore. On top of it.. it’s hard to clean it these days, all the scrubbing and soaking and washing still does not give me a clean wok anymore. I’m afraid the teflon is gone.. and we might get poison because of it. As el-cheapo as I am .. I cannot risked the health of PB and the brat.

I love my Wok alot..!! it has made cooking so easy for me.. and it’s not even a T-Fal brand.. it’s one of the local brand here .. and when i bought it .. it was on sale ( i never buy anything that’s not on sale). So yah.. i know i’ve gotten my money worth.. but so “sayang” to part with my most trusted wok.

Now to find a new wok .. a cheap one .. and a good one before i can retire the old wok. Yes.. i’m crazy to feel sentimental about my wok.. but it has been with me for 3 yrs now..!

Dear Wok, I really donch wanna retire you .. i know you ain’t that old.. but you are giving way.. and every function of yours seems to be getting from bad to worst.. so donch blame me.. i’ve no choice.. ! I love you .. but i love my family more. And if i used you some more .. knowing that you are “lau Kot Kot” already.. it’s like using my grandfather to babysit my brat. So .. sorry..we’ve gotta part ways.. Wok. Happy retirement.. real soon..!!

Every year during the winter, lots of people from Canada goes to the Caribbean, especially during the worst winter month here, which is in February. So if you visit the Caribbean and you see alot of Caucasians, they are most likely from Canada. I know so, because my hubby’s uncle and aunt visits the Dominican Republic every year.. and i kid you not.. it’s a yearly event.

They loved the white sandy beaches, the natural beauty of the islands and of course, the never ending supply of food and drinks, plus the very friendly and humble folks there. I have had asked them once about whether it was safe to travel and stay for a whole good week, because of the reputation of crime and social unrest but they assured us that it was safer than the streets here in our town. And they never had any problems whatsoever .. and they have had been visiting Dominican Republic for 10 yrs now.

Accommodations that they stayed in are those of a 4 star hotel and an all-inclusive package meant, all their meals are taken care of and all house drinks are free of charge too. The Dominican Republic has more to offer of course, with all the water-sports and snorkelling, whether you are planning a romantic getaway or a family trip, you can be sure, that everyone will find something really interesting to do or just do absolutely nothing.

I guess this week is gonna be one of those days.. where we will see more ppl trying to sell things to us then to buy things.

It is just too, too sad.. to see grown up men coming in to sell stuff.. with the excuse that “money was needed to buy milk” for his children. I mean.. how can you not have money .. for milk and food for your kids..?? Truly .. i donch know what to think of ppl like that.. and it’s not just one person doing or saying stuff like that.. it’s alot.

People just donch know how to manage their money. When they have it.. they just spent it like nobody’s business.. buying whatever that’s unnecessary at all. How lah to pity ppl like that.. ??? But PB .. he would buy.. irregardless.. because when someone said.. they need food for their children.. he would help. So although .. some might say PB is nonchalant.. i don’t think so.

The 30th Anniversary tour of The Police this summer in cities around US and Canada is a long awaited concert for fans all over the world but only the Canadians and the Americans will be the only one enjoying this concert.

The Police Tickets are going fast, have you bought yours yet..?? Surely, you don’t want to miss seeing the legendery Sting live in concert..! I hear they will definitely be singing “Every Breath You Take”. I think it is going to be the most amazing event of the century. Get your tickets quick.

Spain is one of the most beautiful country that i’ve been to. The history in Spain is so rich, and the architectural of any monuments or buildings in Spain is so awesome, I cannot start to begin to describe it but you just have to see it for yourself, to experience and awe about it magnificent sights and scenes. The people in Spain are the friendliest people on earth.. i would know so .. because my ex-boss, Mr Tsingos and Mr Palomo are both from Spain.

Spain is easily the most popular holiday destination in Europe. Madrid and Barcelona are not only for doing business and holding major conference and if you are ever in this two cities, you have to soak in the culture and sightseeing is definitely a must. One never regrets visiting Spain.

A customer came in to pay for a VHS movie and asked me how much it was, right in front of me. PB wasn’t in at that time, and i had replied ” 2.28 tax included”.

She gave me 2 bucks and walked out..! muahahahahahha!! ppl are so freaking.. i donch know what to call it anymore..!! not like i’m hard up for that .28 cents .. but that’s taxes that the government wants..!!!

And it’s not like i donch speak freaking english.. !! ello..!!!! 2.28 !!! NOT 2 bucks..!!!
