Chloe has certainly come a long way. Look at her playing with Phil this afternoon.. and going crazy. Yup..!! she loves it..!! of course Keegan had to be around… otherwise . .not as friendly to Phil or Brenda…

Keegan’s father - Phil .. playing with Chloe.. and Chloe having a ball..! We are indeed very blessed.. because not only does Keegan look after and love our Chloe alot… the father.. is just as good with Chloe. In fact the whole family is really good to Chloe… i hope Keegan will remain as Chloe’s sitter for a long, long time to come.

Once again this town continues to amaze me more and more. It’s Lobster Fest, as I mentioned a few days ago.. Last year they blocked off Main Street in the downtown core, about 3 blocks worth, to allow people to wander freely about and to give the downtown merchants plenty of sidewalk space to put out their products to sell.

This year they again blocked off part of Main Street, but only 2 blocks.

The block we’re on? Excluded of course. See how much traffic we have in front of our store today?

This actually happened more than a week ago, but i didn’t wanna write about it then.. because obviously i wasn’t pleased at all when it happened.

2 weeks ago.. on a Friday.. the usual day .. that was my free day at the store.. since i had Keegan to babysit… i ordered chinese food with dear Mr Choo from the new restaurant at 5.30pm, since i was already getting hungry. At 5.45pm, the girl at the restaurant .. called to say.. that she didn’t know what i had ordered “beef hor fun” .. so she wanted me to speak directly to Mr Choo, which i did. Being a Friday and all.. i can understand that he was very busy.. so when he said.. food would be ready at 6.15pm.. i readily agreed.

6.15pm came and went.. i sent PB to collect the food at the chinese restaurant.. which was about 5 mins walk from our store. PB came back.. without the food.. citing that Mr Choo had waved him off.. saying “busy, busy now..!!”

My MIL has the same sense of humour as PB. When i told her.. that i lost my voice today.. she said.. “must be very quiet over there today” ..! Muahahhahhaa!! Very funny…!!

And my reply was .. NO..!! far from it..! i was even louder.. to get heard..!! hahahha!! Nothing can stop this “Bili Bala” .. if i claimed to be #2 Kaypoh Queen.. no one would dare to claim that they are #1 ..!! hahahhahaha!!

Yah.. i’m pretty obsessed…!! Obsessed with what..?? with chinese things.. anything chinese..! like now .. i am listening to Anita Mui’s song while i am typing this. And most times..i play chinese/cantonese music .. at the store.

I love my chinese shows.. more than “ang moh” shows. Love chinese food more than “ang moh” food. I donch remember being so obsessed before.. when i was in Asia. Even when i was travelling for work hor.. i rarely pick chinese food to eat.. i always wanna try some “ang moh” food. But these days hor.. no amount of cajoling would make me like “ang moh” food.

Like my mum would have said.. “huan siong” .. yup.. and quite so..! At one point hor.. everytime we have the store open, i play George Lam’s “Choy Sun Dou” ..! Yup..!! I’m just surprised .. PB hasn’t said anything about it yet..! i bet he must be thinking.. “there we go again.. the crazy chinese song” .. muahhahahhahahaha!!

One thing good about the ang moh hor.. is that they never blame the wife.. if the child is naughty. Most chinese man i know.. like my father lah.. and my grandfather.. and even my brothers.. they blame the woman/wife.. if the kid/s is naughty.

This morning.. the brat of ours.. was cranking up.. and wanting her own way.. like the way she bullies me. I just got up.. and was in the washroom.. and heard PB tell chloe.. “no chloe.. you are not getting your way .. because everytime.. mummy let you eat elsewhere .. you don’t eat and you bully her, so you are not eating anywhere else except the high chair”

Actually truth be told hor.. i let chloe get away with murder.. i do scream at her.. once she pushes me too far. But most times.. i’m quite patient and let her do whatever she wants. Like eating in the TV room lah.. or eating on her bed in the puter room lah.. or even let her watch tv.. when she wakes up first thing in the morning.. just to keep her quiet. The only time i loose my cool.. is when i am hungry.. and she is still fussing.. and refuses to let me cook or eat.. NOW..!! that’s when i give up.. and either spanked her.. or scream my lungs out at her. I digress.

In this time and day, drug abuse is not only common in countries/families in the west, but everywhere in the world. This weekend is Lobster Fest Weekend.. starting from today to be exact. The roads were busy.. but we didn’t see alot of traffic.

Last year Lobster Fest we were all hyped up.. but it didn’t turned out too great.. because of the weather.. and we received a nasty call from a supplier and had a huge dispute on that said day. Of course none of our workers know about it.. because we handle all our stuff on our own. All the workers we ever had.. never really had a sense of ownership at all. It’s quite different from Asian workers to be honest.

We behaved so normally i doubt anyone knew what we were going thru’ with this particular supplier..! Lobster Fest and SeaFest are totally different thing if you are wondering. This year.. i am not so excited nor am i doing anything special .. for various reasons.. which i am sure.. if you are a regular reader would know. Oh and let me tell you lah.. Lobster Fest and Seafest are actually nothing spectacular lah..! I assure you .. going to Vivo City in Singapore.. is way more exciting than the 2 fests combined.

I read on the local webpage of the radio station here.. that the local doctors here are asking to be paid for working in the free clinic as volunteers. Now that’s the craziest thing i’ve ever heard.. donch you think..??

Already doctors make alot of money.. yet they are asking to be paid.. to do community work..??? I really hope i read wrongly..!! because it’s no longer on the webpage already to verify it once again.. but it sure is crazy.. !! and i thought i was the crazy chinese woman from Singapore..!!

Guess there are crazier ppl around here.. eh..??

This year’s Seafest is just round the corner. Now if you remembered.. we had made a big deal about it.. and tried our best to give the best back to the town.

This year we’ve decided not to do much.. because we have so many things lined up that needs our constant attention. PB and I are constantly kept busy beyond what we can handle.. now that we have corporate clients to take care of. Even though we are busier this year, we’ve decided not to hire anymore help.. and try to work harder on our own..due to the fact that we’ve never been lucky with our employees. For the past 6 months.. PB and I experienced nothing but bliss..! We were able to work out a schedule that fitted everyone.. and the customer/s and we saved alot of money from not hiring anyone additional. Best of all.. we just have to be nice to ourselves. Bliss..!

Sure we worked alot harder.. but nothing beats keeping all the money to yourself.. muahahahhahahhahaa!! an no more headaches..!

I didn’t forget all my loyal blogger friends .. and i do read all my comments.. each and everyone of it. I had planned to reply to all your comments.. on Tuesday.. when good ole Blogsome went down..!! so i lost a whole day because of it.

And then i wanted to do it the next day.. Chloe got sick.. with hives, and a cold with runny nose. And when Chloe got better the next day.. i got sick..! yup..!! just my luck eh..??

And when i am sick.. i turn into a B.I.T.C.H!! i become lethargic.. and i whined.. and sigh alot..!! hhahahahaha!! But i figured we can’t stay healthy forever right..?? we gotta get sick sometime.. hah! and when we were up in Halifax a few weeks ago.. we didn’t catch anything from Uncle Budd who was sick like a dog.. and we had stayed 2 full days at his house. So ya.. it is time to get ill… and get it over with. Anyhow.. i digress.

Yup.. when i first came to Canada.. i was much heavier than now.. !! after having Chloe.. my weight was all time low.. and i didn’t even have to diet.. !! and a few years later.. i did put on some weight.. but not nearly as i was .. when i first came.. and yes.. i know i’ve lost weight.. coz’ the clothes that i first bought when i first arrived.. that was quite fitting.. i can wear them now. And my rings.. they keep falling out..! from my fingers.

So anyone cannot lose weight.. or wanna have a baby.. and every doctor say you cannot have one.. because of whatever the reason.. just move to my town.. and you will both lose weight .. and have a baby.

Arrrghhhh..!! i’m freaking sick..!! yup.. ! and i thought i wasn’t getting it .. when PB and chloe got ill during the weekend. But yesterday came.. and i was so damn sick..!!!

Running nose.. headache.. sore throat..!! i hate the sore throat part though..!

And then this morning.. i woke up with a really, really bad headache.. and boy .. was i feeling lousy..!! i didn’t think i was able to go into the store.. at all today.. but i took a shower.. and took some tylenol.. and came into the store.

I do feel alot better now though.. i took more medication after coming into work and my throat donch hurt so much. I just wished PB would get me some ice.. to crunch on.. and not look disgusted when i am doing it. Sometimes.. i wished i can stay home.. just because i wanna crunch my ice.. because my throat just is a bitch to take care of.. and crunching ice .. keeps my sore throat at bay.

Just finished watching the last episode this evening and it was an alright show. Just so funny.. that every started getting sick.. with cancer.. and others. Weird.. !! hahha!! but it’s a show.. so anything can happened.

Sorry to disappoint .. but i was told this afternoon .. by the immigration doctor .. that i donch have TB..!! muahhahahhahahaha!!

Yup.. it was a real relieved eh..! and thank you all for your prayers.. and good wishes.

All my papers are in order.. and it looks like i’m all set for immigration.. just waiting now. Everything seems cleared.. well except for my damn fibroids.. but we won’t tell anyone eh..! Yup.. this time…round.. they compared my chest x-ray with those taken in 2005 and then a month ago.. in Halifax.. and now .. the ones taken here in Yarmouth. Yup.. i’m in the clear..! can’t be happier.. i tell ya..!!

Good health is so important..!! now i can gorged myself.. with more chinese food.. muahahhahaha!! and reward myself….

Can someone tell me if taking liver really helps in replenishing blood..?? or is it just the iron in it.. the is benefiting me recently..??

Reason for this question is .. because this month my menses didn’t have alot of clots.. nor did it last very long. And i’ve been eating liver quite regularly these days. like once every week or once every 2 weeks.. with lots of ginger. I think i eat more liver now .. than i did .. when i just had chloe.. which i think would have been really good. But then .. there were no pork liver in sight then and just having a c-section.. i can’t possibly stand there and cut and cook and then washed .. so i didn’t have it. Sad huh..??

School is finally over.. for the schools here.. so all the kids out there.. is going to be hanging around the house alot… and drive their parents up the wall. Well for some kids like Keegan.. she being the productive and having a good head on her shoulder.. she would want more hours working at the store.. and save up for a car.. and things she needs before school reopens in September. That can only mean .. that we get more free time to do our own stuff.. and of course to look into our already very busy schedule.

Graduation is this week and i feel a little nostalgia because alot of kids that we know .. are graduating.. and it also makes me wonder .. when i can see our dear Chloe graduate too. Or will i lived that long to see her all grow up.. and graduating.. and be a useful person..?? Donch you feel that way sometimes..?? those of you who have younger kids..?? Sometimes, i worry about my health.. and the only reason is because i wanna be there for my brat .. as she is growing up.. and not only watch her grow.. but walk along with her. It is very hard to grow up.. without the support and encouragement from your parents.. i for one know first hand. My dad is still alive.. but i might as well consider him dead.. coz’ he was never there for any of my siblings or I. Having a mother who is so busy making ends meet.. and can only concentrate on one or two of us.. leave us girls .. very thin emotionally.

Blogsome was down yesterday from 6.30pm my time here in Canada.. right up till .. i donch know what time the next day. But when i got up at 6.30am .. it was up and running again.

But i tell ya.. the fear i had.. of losing so many years of writing .. and 2000 over posts. Now that was really a scary thing. Which makes me come to a conclusion .. that i should go and transfer everything to my new dot com blog .. that PB had paid for 2 years for me. But i’ve been really lazy.. and haven’t done a thingie about it.

On top of it.. i can’t find any info.. on how to transfer everything from this blog to my new one.. that is hosted and have my own domain name. If there is anyone out there.. who is on the same platform as I .. please let me know.. if you have any ideas. And yes.. it was really scary .. once again.. for all my pictures and everything.. that i’ve recorded for Chloe is priceless.

Well .. of course i had planned to reply all the comments yesterday.. and i wasn’t able to do a thing..!! that was a real bummer..!!

The truth is sometimes very hard to listen to .. and at times.. it might even hurt you. But we tell the truth as it is.. to most of our ex-workers and the truth is.. ppl donch change eh..?? even after many years later.. you still hear ppl talk about your ex-workers.

And guess what they say..?? “not the strongest worker” or even “mediocre worker” as we had talked among ourselves when they were working for us.

Truth be told.. we’ve gone thru’ so many employees.. and tried so hard to give everyone a chance .. and in the end.. it is usually not in our favour .. which makes us realized.. how fortunate we are .. that we do not have to depend on anyone now, coz’ just a few days ago.. a customer was in .. and is currently working with one of our ex-workers.. and he had said.. to us.. that he cannot wait to fire him because that person is just plain lazy. And about a week ago, a collection agency was calling high and low.. for one of our ex-worker who haven’t worked here for about a year now. Ppl donch changed.. more than a year ago.. we already predicted.. this was gonna happen.. and it did.

Sad as it may be.. some ppl just isn’t worth our time… especially those .. who thinks the whole world is against them.. or those who is just plain weird.

A few days ago, after coming back from the store, and chloe was out playing with her Papa, she came in to let me know that baby was outside.

My good neighbour whom we rarely see happened to be out there with their baby boy. I haven’t seen him alot because they are very busy people and the child is already more than a year old. The last i’ve seen him, he was just a baby. So you see how busy both our families are..?? and we are just staying beside each other.

Like i’ve said many a times.. good neighbours .. they leave us alone.. and they go about their own thing. Should they be outside the house.. when we drive into our driveway, we just nod.. and go our own way. That’s the way we like it. What about you ..?? Do you have neighbours like us..?? or do you visit and become close friends with your neighbours.. and visit each other .. everyday for coffee and tea..???

“I’m having a badddd day!” is one of them..!

“I’m mad now!” .. is another one.. if a customer blocks her way.. while she is riding her bike.

“OK .. Mum..!!” when she wants to do something naughty.

“I’m gonna be VERRRY careful .. Mom..!” when she is climbing onto something high that she isn’t supposed to.

I’ll add more.. when i hear or think of something else.

When you have a toddler.. you know for sure.. you have to have alot of tricks up your sleeves for any kinda of situation.

Chloe had hives this morning.. but she refused to drink her allergy medication.. and we couldn’t let her have another bottle of milk.. because that was all she had .. the whole nite.. with her cold and cough medication. No matter what we promised.. or threatened.. she just wouldn’t have anything to do with her allergy medication.

So what do sneaky parents like us do..??? We gave her some chips.. and pepsi.. and guess what was in the pepsi..?? Kekekkekeke!! yup.. no prizes for guessing.. hahha!! she finished her pepsi.. but was a wee bit skeptical that we were giving her pepsi.. because we rarely do it. But she watched her Toopee and Binoo .. and had her pepsi.. but didn’t finished her chips.. since it wasn’t the one she liked.

When we first bought our new home, my spouse was really hyped up to do up the basement.. to give himself a recreation room with all his gaming and stuff that he wants to do on his alone time just for himself. I tell you .. he had big plans.

And of course one of them was to have a home theater and since we already have a 52″ TV, what else was needed after fixing the basement were getting some nice and comfy home theater seating, so that he can invite his buddies over .. for those guy’s nite at home .. in his very own special room.

We chose leather because we didn’t wanna clean the seatings should anyone spill drinks or food on them. After ordering them, you can expect prompt delivery within 2 - 3 weeks. No hassle whatsoever.

Every man that i’ve met love our home theater seats, so we are thinking of adding a pool table and some bar stools as well since Boston Tables has them all, shopping for the recreation room has never been easier. My gifts to my spouse would definitely be the Pool Table for Christmas.

Received a phone call just a few minutes ago.. at the store. Caller asked PB if he fixes games..?? We do have a machine that we had paid 600 bucks for to repair scratch disk .. be it PS2 games.. Xbox games.. or even movies. But caller seems to want a miracle.. he asked PB if he can do anything.. if a chunk of the disk is missing..! Hahahhahahaahahahahahahahah!!!

OMG..!!! how retarded can ppl be.. ??? I told PB .. that he should have told them.. “he is no Miracle Worker!” You tell me lah.. how to repair anything if a chunk has come off..??

Ppl are so smart here.. eh..??

Yes.. i’m still very awake.. and giving milk the 2nd time to the brat.. because she wanted it. Chloe is having a very bad stuffy nose.. thus she can’t sleep too well. I feel really bad… because there is so little i can do.. except to give her milk..and be there for her.. when she wakes up.. due to can’t breathe properly. I know even as an adult.. it can be quite fearful .. so i’m sure .. she is doubly frightened.. if she is encountering difficulty in breathing.

PB had gone to bed at about 2 plus.. thank God..! coz’ he needs to take the morning shift.. if i am gonna be having a long nite. I’m tired.. but i won’t be able to go to bed.. till chloe is sound asleep.. otherwise.. she would still be waking one of us up.. and breaking our sleep.. and that’s even worst.

So i’m praying she would sleep till at least 9am.. since it’s already 4am here.

Yup..! poor PB and chloe.. both came down with a cold.. and sniffing.. and sneezing alot..!!

Chloe was a great spot today though at the store.. albeit wanting to ride her bike outside the store.. ever so often. She kept saying she wasn’t sick anymore.. but the running nose sure.. doesn’t say otherwise though. No fever or anything at the moment.. hopefully she sleeps the whole nite.. and not wake up like she did yesterday. She did wake up at 2 something.. but went back to sleep in no time.

As for PB .. well… you can see he is tired.. but he is still helping out with dishes and bottles. He claims that he is not THAT sick. Well.. i’m kinda feeling like i’m coming down with something..and nope.. it’s not good at all..!

PS : No such luck.. she woke up at 1.20am.. looking for milky.. and sniffing bad..!

Yup..! Ms PeePeePie.. has her own fashion sense already..! instead of using the hair band on her hair.. she used it on her neck. Yup..! and showed off she did..!!

As you all know.. i had to take another x-ray .. here in town.. because my previous one in Halifax showed a certain shadow they can’t identify. So after making the appt to do it last week, i was told to come back the next day.. as the x-ray machine was out of order.

Nevermind.. i’m at their mercy.. so i didn’t say too much.. and came back the next day.. and was a good sport too. The next day.. got a call from our dear hospital here.. in this town.. and was told that the radiologist gotta see me.. before he would sign the papers for me. So the technician who took my x-ray.. cannot vouch for me..?? so the tech didn’t see my face..??

Chloe biking outside the store this afternoon. The strange thing was .. she wouldn’t use her big gal bike outside… and prefers her baby bike.. and she doesn’t go far either.. just round and round outside the store.. and she is way smart too.. when there were lots of ppl outside walking.. she comes right in.

PB and I have been approached by someone locally to work on something together.. for a few months now.. and we are prepping ourselves up for it. Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose what it is right now.. outta international patent issues.

But today.. i am unable to contain my excitement.. because i’ve seen this product work miraculously on my brat..! yes.. on my brat..! i donch know if it was instantly or not.. but it worked.

My brat was out playing in the front yard .. and PB had just mowed the lawn yesterday.. so with the newly mowed lawn.. there were lots of mosquitoes.. and of course.. who did those insects go for..?? THE BRAT..! yup.. she had a good few bites on her hands and legs.. and it was itching alright when she got into the house. PB took the new “venture” out.. and used it on her.. and no it is not a mosquito product or an insect product or any kinda cream… this is a totally organic thing we are talking about.. and not meant for insect bites or mosquito bites.. but because this organic thing/new venture that we had in hand as sample contact an organic mineral in it.. that can take care of insect bites.. PB used it on Chloe because he used it on himself .. a few weeks ago.. when he was bitten by a tick.

Such a small gesture..but what a whole lot of love.. Chloe picked these flowers for me.. this evening.. while playing outside with Papa. She came rushing in.. and screamed.. “mom..!! mom..!!” while i was busy doing something.. but what a great feeling seeing that she picked flowers for me. I’m sure PB had something to do with it, if you could remembered.. my FIL loves picking flowers for the ladies in the house too.

What a nice and warm day it was today..! very summery like.. but the wind was cool.. but that’s alright.. it was still warmer than most days.

If you all donch know by now.. even summer here can be really chilly. We donch get very much warm days. But the house was really hot.. and the store.. was cool.. just nice.. kinda cool.

Chloe did good playing by herself.. alot.. and also went out on bike rides just outside the store. She was quite relentless when asking to go out for rides..and insisted and said.. “please.. please.. please.. please..” till we said.. ok. But really how to say no .. to her.. if only we had more time to play with her.. instead of working.. and trying to make a living.

Yah..!! if you kenna my mother..!! she would definitely say.. some ppl here got no father..! no mother teach..!! or worst.. got mother to give birth to.. but no father to teach..!!

That’s how i feel about some ppl here..!! so damn rude..!! Come into my business.. and borrow my business phone.. nevermind..! i loan you..! you not my customer .. nevermind!! i still loan you ..! I mean .. if you were my customer hor.. even if you only spend $3 a week at my store.. I also consider you a good customer. But these ppl .. never spend a single cent at my store.. come in and wanna borrow my phone.. also nevermind.. we lend you the phone.

But after using my business phone.. hand me back the phone.. and thank you .. also never say..!! like i owe you or what..??? then just pat, pat the backside.. and leave.. without even looking back..!! We were getting ready to get outta the house this morning.. to go to the store.. and i had gone into the bedroom to get changed. And then i went “Ahhhhhhh..!!” screaming like..! because the bed wasn’t made.. ! ya.. i am anal that way.

So i said.. “lousy papa” ..!! i even told chloe to say.. “lousy papa” .. and chloe said.. to me.. “donch say that.. mummy..!” “that’s not very nice..!” .. hahahhah!!

Papa’s defender.. ?? Ya.. she can be sweet like that.. but at times.. arrrrghhh..!! she is just beyond reasoning.

Garage organization is no easy feat in our house. With running of your own business and having a toddler who is high need .. certainly do not leave you much time for anything.

But an absolutely must have for our garage is a Four 16 by 32 inch Metal Pegboards. Why you asked..?? It speaks for itself..! It helped me organized the 100 tools that my spouse has lying all around the garage. No more clutter.. no more mess.. and no more.. “Honey.. where is my tools..!!!!” .. when the baby is sleeping.

I’ve been trying to make a new Summer Banner for this blog.. but i’m stucked.. ! yes.. you heard right..!! STUCKED..!! just at a lost .. of what i want for my summer banner..! of course i want something sunny.. and bright.. but the weather here in this town.. is still just chilly.. ! even at the store.. i have to put on a light sweater.. so how to feel summery leh..??

I tell you .. my blog is associated to my surroundings.. and really .. you donch wanna keep hearing what a gloomy and chilly day it was right.. ?? everyday..?? nah.. ! didn’t think so..!

Well.. i’m hoping .. i can get it done soon..! Hipcoolmomma’s new banner actually inspires me.. ! but i’m not as good as she is.. hers is always so colourful..!! i know it can only means.. she is very happy..

Yah..!! i’m talking about ME.. yours truly..!! Yup.. ! i’m very sure..!! Every morning.. PB would wake up with the brat.. and give her milky.. feed her breakfast.. and sometimes.. already changed her poopie.. and outta her PJs .. and all… and i sleep till 11am.. sometimes earlier.. if i had to cook for the brat.. for lunch.. or need to take a shower.. before going to the store. But you get the idea.. PB does the morning thingie with Chloe.. waking up sometimes.. as early as 7am.

Today.. again .. the brat woke up at 7am.. and PB woke up with her first.. and when she woke up at 9am.. she looked for me.. so i woke up with her.. hoping to give PB a chance to sleep in .. at least once every couple of weeks.. lah..! You know lah.. ! gotta be kind right..?? hahaha!! Well.. ! as soon as the brat had her milky.. she wanted her waffles.. like NOW..!! ok.. so i did the waffle for her.. and all.. and then started feeding her.. and all.

I finally got to watch Music & Lyric tonite. And all because Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are in it. Your typical chick-flick of course. Fun to watch.. and Haley Bennett is BEAUTIFUL..!!! love her…!!

The storm missed us yesterday.. and i’m thankful.. !! we donch need it at all. Reports on downpour, thunder and lightning, and the rain was very heavy… and some damages in some area.

The sky looks really gloomy right now… i’m really hoping we ain’t gonna be hit by the store… that would sux big time.

Oh.. we ain’t doing the flea market tomorrow.. but will be opening the store for a couple of hours.. just because .. our customer/s still comes in .. if we are open. Can’t refuse the money right..??

About a typical black man.. who went to jail before.. and fighting for custody for his 3 children.. and they ex-wife’s new b/f selling drugs.. and she is making her oldest daughter sell too. And of course.. we have the smart and beautiful black woman lawyer.. who was so stuck up.. and then fall in love with the jailbird. You get the geez of it right.. ?? But i’ve seen worst. So if you just wanna watch some typical “black” movie.. go right ahead.

Woohoo..!! after using Windows98 for so long.. i’m finally able to upgrade to XP…! Ya.. ya.. i’m slow.. and lazy.. and complacent..! call what you may.. but my philosophy in life is very simple. As long as it works.. i donch really wanna go bother or change anything.

But my hard drive was dying.. so PB had a used one.. and he cleaned up my dirty puter.. not as dirty as the one that came in the other day.. but still considerably dirty.. because PB and I donch smoke. .and we try to clean the house really well too. Anyways, xp was put into my hard drive and a transfer all the stuff over to my puter was done tonite. I’m still trying to get used to using XP.. and exploring. Nice to have a partner who knows computer stuff eh..?? hahahha!!

OMG..!! another one of those case.. where kids goes wild in our store..!! but this ain’t as bad as the one we had yesterday..!!!

Customer comes in with kids to get work done on puter.. and OMG ..!! kids run wild.. !! and take everything out .. from the shelves.. and even go into the security camera box.. and opened it.. to see what’s inside. While the younger kid rides on one of chloe’s bike.. the older one.. wanted to ride on chloe’s Dora bike. The kid doesn’t understand .. that he is too heavy for the bike.. and then they messed with Chloe’s Dora tables and chairs.. and wants to go into the tent .. and then mess up the other stuff in the store.. and worst of all.. tries running outta the store.. several times..!!

My chloe went to the croc store for some shoes with PB .. and all she did was sit .. on the bench.. of the store.. and wait for PB to be done. She did get a wee bit cranky at the end.. because she wanted a croc.. and they didn’t have her size.. other than that… PB said.. she behaved.. and didn’t do those things.. that those kids did at our store. And if she was.. she would have been taken outta the store immediately .. instead of being left to wreck someone’s store. We won’t allow it..! period…!

Halloween may not be round the corner .. but one cannot help but prepare for the next Halloween as early as possible. Afterall, you don’t want to be the last one to get your kids Halloween costumes and decorations for the party right..??

The new chinese restaurant is good.. but how much chinese food .. can you eat right..?? plus it is not cheap either. A dish of mapo tofu.. is at 12.95 + tax.. and we all know that tofu is cheap.. and so is meat.. and certainly isn’t worth paying 12.95 when you can do it yourself.. for less than 5 bucks. So i always end up having a bowl of soup.. and that’s it. Really donch know what to eat anymore.

Oh.. i do cook for chloe.. but sometimes.. i rather freezed up the food.. for her.. then to eat them myself.. so she gets wholesome food.

Some old business friends and their daughter visited Chloe this afternoon.. and it was just so pleasant to see a change in having good kids .. play around your kids.

For once.. we ain’t worry.. when they are playing together.. like i was .. when there is a not so good kid in the store. Usually when a good kid is playing with Chloe.. i donch have to watch them like a hawk, I just let them go wild. I find that i instantly jumped into a very protective mode.. when i sense my kid might be bullied.. or in danger. Some might say it is not so good to be overly-protective. But how can i not..?? my brat has never been taught.. how to defend herself.. now fight back.. or punch..or pinch or spit.

Sometimes.. when i see kids taking chloe’s toys and insisting on breaking them.. or bringing them home.. i see in chloe’s reaction .. how helpless she was. Chloe would just stand there.. and donch know what to do. As her mother .. i won’t want to reprimand other ppl’s kid.. coz’ it’s just not in my position to do it. But when you get a good kid in.. you can see the difference.. they never scream.. they never shout.. they are amicable.. and they never insist on bringing the toys home.

Is it the kids..?? or the parents.. that needs to be taught.. the right way .. to bring the kids up..?? Is it the kid’s fault.. if the kid behave like a monster..?? why does some kids behave like monsters.. while others angels..??

I have been wanting to rant about the gas prices here in Yarmouth…!! For the last 1.5 yrs.. we have one of the highest gas prices .. all over Nova Scotia. Regulating gas prices by the government.. did not help one bit .. to the consumer like us. Stablizing gas prices took effect last year July 1st but we are still paying sometimes as much as 1.17/litre.

Our car is very small.. and yet.. we pay like 40 to 45 bucks to fill our tank every week.. depending on whether we go outta town or not. If we do, it is more. A trip up to Halifax cost us about 120.00 in gas alone. Which means .. we pay like 360.00 Malaysian Ringgit in gas. You tell me.. whether i would bitched about it or not..??

Food is also expensive here.. unless you wanna eat a pizza slice everyday .. at your friendly neighbourhood pizza joint.. for 2 bucks.. meaning about 6 malaysian ringgit..! And if you donch know.. the pizza slices.. are sometimes so old.. it tastes like cardboard..!

So for those who are thinking of migrating.. unless you have a great job.. and all.. it’s just too expensive.. coz’ taxes would kill you too.. if not .. the weather..! Ok.. i’m talking about the small town i’m in..!

So does it mean .. i donch have to pay for my parking tickets..?? or property taxes.. or business tax..??? Some ppl can be so freaking ridiculous..!! and it pisses me off so much.. not even because of the money they refuses to pay for their late movies/games.. because the amount is so insignificant.. even my 3.5yr old toddler.. would snigger if she knew what the commotion was about.

For $1.50, some ppl really got the time.. and taking alot of effort just to not pay it. I can understand if the person/customer is poor or on welfare.. or have a ton kids to feed but Nooooo… sir..! this person .. earns good money.. and well.. even if you donch earn good money.. are you .. gonna quibber about $1.50.. ??? Can you believed it.. ?? he told PB i had said.. i was gonna waived it..?? HOLY SHIT..!! HOLY CRAP..!!! so stingy for what..??? you need to make a living.. we also need to make a living.. but donch be like dat lah..!! 1.50 also donch wanna pay..!!!! already our rentals and everything else is the cheapest in town.. yet can die.. wanna save 1.50 at our expense..?? So i told PB .. we should go to his working place.. and said.. “I’m very sorry too” .. then we donch need to pay for groceries, taxes, parking fines.. and water/telephone bill. ka..????

Some ppl really make me “pu huai” you know..!! so “kiam siap” until like that..!!! worst than those ppl who are on welfare..!! at least they pay us.

Got a call from the X-ray department in the hospital as soon as we got into the store .. this afternoon. Apparently, the radiologist needs for me to be there.. to make sure that i was the person who took the x-ray yesterday before he would sign the papers for me.. and give me the CD. JOYYYYY..!!!!

So in other words, the technician who took my x-ray cannot vouch for me..?? that it was indeed i.. who took the x-ray yesterday..?? my photo was on that freaking piece of form you know..!! So now i have to make another trip up the hospital to get it done..?? How freaking smart is that..???

I mean sure.. they are all nice and all.. but c’mon man..!! i have things to do too.. and you are just delaying my freaking report..!! The joys of dealing with “garmen” hospital..!!

We would be lucky if we have 2 months of good weather. Fortunately, business has been picking right up.. and PB has been working so hard of late.. and even helping me out with my paid blogging.. doing the video for me.. and editing ..and all.. while i try to get my food fix .. of nasi lemak.

We also see an increase of interest .. in security cameras. This morning the local mill had announced that the schools are looking into security camera to protect their school properties. So PB will go up to the school. .and enquire about some potential sales. It’s gonna be real busy for us.. this summer.. and i can’t wait till Keegan is off school.. so she can work more .. either in the store.. or babysitting for us. Chloe loves her babysitter so much..! and really .. Keegan does a great job. Even my MIL thinks so.

Chloe is very well-behaved.. when she is out of our store.. and even at Grammie’s house.. or when we are shopping. She rarely messed up ppl’s stuff.. much less.. try to break things.

She would not try and destroy or claimed things that doesn’t belong to her.. nor would she be screaming or shouting.. to do stuff.. she isn’t supposed to. She doesn’t even take food from ppl to eat.. even at Grammie’s house.. if she wanted a drink of pepsi.. she would always asked first. She would never open Grammie’s fridge.. nor would she be screaming for things that belongs to another kid. Nor would she asked to bring home another kid’s toy.

Yes.. we can be proud that our brat do not behave in the way . .that we see other kids behave when they are at our store. My brat doesn’t get up and run around with the kids that comes into the store.. when she is having lunch.. she finishes all her lunch before getting down.. and she never walks outta the store.. without us. Other kids may do that .. without their parents.. but not mind.

Nope.. i’m not bragging.. but if i cannot control my kid in public.. i feel i shouldn’t bring my kid out.. and let them destroy other kid’s toys.. and store.

PB & I had this a few days ago. We ordered another wanton soup .. so that i can have more food.. to go with my lunch. Lunch is usually late for us.. at about 4pm. The chicken balls.. i didn’t touched.. but i had the rice with broccoli. The beef and broccoli was so-so.. nothing to shout about to be honest.

I tried cooking nasi lemak today.. !! The nasi lemak package that i bought from Halifax was nothing but a pack of coconut powder.. !! nothing extraordinary about it. Asian Gourmet is the name of the brand. The rice was alright.. but i think i needed to wash out the salt from the dried anchovies.. because it was very salty. .hahahhaha!!

A quick update on my x-ray today. I went in at 12pm for my 12.20pm appt and only got to do my x-ray at 12.45pm, the x-ray was a breeze.. the technician who took my x-ray was very nice. No hassle or anything. But she wouldn’t say if there was anything unusual with my x-ray .. but i had to sign a form.. that i won’t sue them.. hahahhaha!! so strange.

So i wouldn’t know anything till next week i am guessing. So wish me luck.. and hope for the best… coz’ i won’t wanna start worrying now.. because there really ain’t anything i can do about it.

But my MIL said.. or maybe to comfort me..?? that she have had x-rays done.. and they had made her go back and do it again.. because of shadows too.. and it didn’t turn out anything bad. So that’s a comforting thought. Anyhow.. i shall definitely update everyone.. about my progress.

Just a quick heads up for everyone .. i didn’t get to do my x-ray today.. because one of their machine was down.. in the hospital.. so they want me to come back tomorrow. OMG…!!! you tell me lah.. ! how screwed can these ppl be.. in this small tiny weenie little town..?? Population not more than 8,000 ..!! How unCOOL.. is it..??? to freaking steal the ambulance.. while it was on call.. trying to freaking save someone’s life..! “slap my forehead”.

And how do one steal an ambulance..?? and hide it..??? Surely .. your freaking neighbour.. or your parents.. or your g/f or your husband.. or your dog will see that AMBULANCE.. right..?? afterall .. it’s an ambulance..!

Ya.. i’ll say this is freaking wrong..!!

I have been trying to catch up on my blog hopping for the last 2 days.. but i haven’t been very successful… as you can see. I even put answering the comments on my blog on hold … just to try to finish reading my favourites.. but from yesterday.. i either have to attend to customers.. or when i got home cooked for the brat.. and then continued cooking for myself.. when PB got back.. and then washed several rounds of dishes.. and cleaned the bathroom.. and more cooking.. and putting away food for the next day.

And today.. non-stop of customers.. !!! everytime i wanna sit down and start reading.. there comes in one customer .. either asking questions.. buying stuff.. or those that wants to know where PB is.. so they can sell their junk to him. Of course.. dear chloe wasn’t letting up today either. Yesterday she was pretty good.. but today.. she wanted company .. even when watching her movie.. but she did finished her lunch on her own.. so that was a plus.

This evening .. i have keegan babysitting for me.. but PB got 2 house calls to make..! and of course.. he wants to show .. the existing security cameras customers.. the new camera that came in for testing. So how leh .. to blog hop..?? Arrrrghhh..!!! and tomorrow.. gotta go for my x-ray.. my heart.. “bip bop.. bip bop” just thinking about it..!! Wished me luck ya.. !! pray for me..!! go to the temple .. anything that can help lah..!! that the x-ray comes back with nothing but clean bill of health.

Looks like osCommerce has the largest template membership site on the internet too. And signing up as a member gives you full access to all their templates.

I was also wondering if i could do the same .. for my little side business and since i don’t know anything about tweaking the template. But they do have information and guide in editing and customizing products.

On top of being able to learn how to customize my work, i want an efficient and cost-effective stylist layout for my website. An extensive range of templates is what i really want, so that i can have a choice of what templates i want and during what seasons. The template that I want has to be fully functional too and of course easy to use and do not need too much work on the logo and images and text. I really wouldn’t mind advanced features and customization .. but i will have to learn my HTML editing applications first.

This days.. i’ve got no time for “ang moh” movies.. because i’m so glued to my chinese movies.. that PB gets for me. I think .. i am so addicted to my chinese movies.. that i get a wee bit agitated .. if i have nothing to watch.

The funniest thing is.. PB owns a video store right..?? with thousands of movies to choose from.. but if given a choice hor.. i still choose my chinese movies.. over the “ang moh”. To be honest hor.. the “ang moh” movie sometimes quite lame leh.. so hard to continue watching..!

I love to eat .. and if you ever talk to my in-laws.. you will know that i eat at least.. i mean.. AT LEAST.. 4 times a day.. but usually 5 .. otherwise.. i get really upset.. if i don’t eat. My spouse can attest to the fact that i get hungry so often.. and i turn into someone really ugly and i go crazy. And it’s true.. !!

A few minutes later .. 3 guys came in to try sell PB a PS2 machine. Claimed that the machine worked just fine.. just before they brought it down.. they were playing with it and all. And the only thing that didn’t work was the power button… the light wouldn’t come on. The PS2 machine had been stripped opened before.. and they claimed they donch know why or how.

The 3 guys must think that PB and I was born yesterday..?? and that i come from Timbak-tu! putting up a show for us. The bloody PS2 doesn’t work..!! and they were trying to pull a fast one on us..! Such dishonest ppl also got..??

The brat is very smart.. !! we donch know where she learned it from.. but if she is caught doing something .. she isn’t supposed to do… and you asked her .. why she is doing such.. her answer would be a matter-of-factly.. “I need to..!!”

If she wants something.. and you ask her why.. do you want it..?? her answer would be .. “I need to..!!” I think it is really amusing to us.. because of the way she says it.. “I need TO..! like she can just justify .. whatever .. with .. “I need to” .. and that should be good enough answer for mummy and daddy. Take it or leave it.

Sometimes.. i cannot helped but thank God.. that our child is as smart as any ordinary kid from the hood… and to be really honest.. we didn’t really forced her to learn anything.. or do anything.. or remotely pushed her. Sure we did tell Keegan to read to her.. or do her ABCs.. and sing to her .. and stuff.. but that was as far as it went. As soon as the brat started talking legibly.. i didn’t worry no more.

For all those mothers to be .. or mothers with younger kids.. i just want you to know.. that all kids are different.. do not compare your kid .. with your neighbour’s kid.. or your sister’s kid.. they will do what they want to do.. when they are ready. No need to worry .. like i did with Chloe.. worrying .. that she doesn’t wanna eat.. worry .. she doesn’t wanna talk.. worry.. she doesn’t wanna do this or that.. because Chloe is coming along nicely.. ! sure she can be quite eccentric at times.. but all in all .. she is a healthy kid.. and she reached her milestones.. as and when she decides.. it’s time. I wished i had relaxed more.. and not fret too much.

The flea market .. on Father’s day was even worst than the 1st Sunday. What a true waste of time..! The only good thing that came outta the flea market was .. our brat gotta get alot of freah air and exercise.

I swear my in-laws are the best..!! We are all having lunch right now.. PB, the brat and I.. and we are all eating lasagna.. made by my MIL for us last nite. In it.. my MIL cooked a half a portion without mushrooms because PB hates mushrooms.. and the other half of the lasagna dish filled with mushrooms. Not only did we eat .. at my in-laws house yesterday.. she “ta pow” for us .. so that we can have it for lunch today.. so I .. yours truly donch have to cook lunch for the brat .. and also something wholesome for PB .. since he has been suffering with his sandwich for a week now.

My FIL made fudge for Chloe to bring home.. as a treat for her today.. just before we left. You see lah..!! you say my in-laws good or not..??? I think i’m the luckiest daughter in law in the world lor..!!

See this whole BBQ chicken..??? yup.. i ate the whole thing on my own..!!! Yup..! you heard right..!! I’m FAT and GREEDY..!! hahahhahaha!! no lah..!! just to show you .. how PB loves his food..!! we bought this last Tuesday.. when my MIL came to babysit the brat… and i wanted to make chicken rice but the easy way out. PB only ate the chicken all but once.. and i continued eating it slowly .. but surely with my noodles.. my curry laksa.. and my bee hoon.. and mixed it with rice and tau-gay and mushroom for Chloe to eat.. and till today.. i still have one drumstick left to be eaten. Yes.. 3 nites in a row.. that PB hor..!! eat SANDWICHES..!! can die or not..???

Are you a blues fan..?? i am .. and so are my in-laws… ! so for their anniversary present.. nothing beats booking them on a blues festival on a cruise. I bet they are gonna so thrilled.. !! but they sure deserved the break.. because they have been so great to us. We can’t thank them enough.

We’ve heard of the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise a while back from another relative who was on it during their honeymoon. It was truly a delightful experience for them. There were multiple performances, jam sessions .. they even got to chat with the musicians on the cruise… and it was the most relaxing experience for the whole week in the sea.. doing nothing or everything you want as you choose at sea.

I think what my parents-in-law would love most is the many Blue Mecca Showcases they can choose to watch during their cruise with them. It’s so romantic to be able to dance at the front of the pool deck and under the stars and skies so clear. Of course how can one miss the sunbathing on the upper deck while you hear the bands play directly below. I also hear that there were some “Surprise Guests”, that will be on board to meet and greet the cruisers. I hope they have my father-in-law’s favourite blue artist on their cruise from Oct 13 - 20 “San Diego to Mexican Riviera“. “Backstage Passes” were included in the cruise as well..!

I can’t wait to see my in-laws partying at the Legendary Mardi Gras Parade at sea. With so much activities .. they are going to be having the time of their life. It’s worth every penny we paid for the cruise.

Had to blur out 2 of Matt’s school mate because i donch wanna kenna sue for 40K, so here it is.. Keegan’s first prom. She has better pictures… i hope i can get one.. with her wearing the necklace that PB and I bought for her. She was so sweet to wear it.. and didn’t think it was just a cheapie necklace.

PB and I ordered some simple and cheap food from the new chinese restaurant to keep us going till we got home on Friday.. since we wanted to eat home.. but started to get real hungry by 8pm. I ordered my usual wanton soup.. and PB .. ordered half a dozen of fried wanton.

Guess what we actually got..?? it was fried wanton at all..!! it was just wanton skin.. with nothing inside..!! Can die or not..?? for 2.99 + tax.. for wanton skin..?? wah lau oi..!! daylight robbery..!! I have yet to talk to Mr Choo the owner.. because he was working that nite.. but i’ll make sure he knows.. that’s not fried wanton.. and if he insist that it is.. then i donch think i’ll ever order fried wanton again. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY..!!

My best friend used to work out everyday trying to build muscles to look good. It was prom nite yesterday.. and Keegan and her b/f were going to prom together. I would have loved to see Keegan in her prom dress.. because she had planned a long time for it.. but she didn’t come in though.. guess she must have been late already.

Her mom was in the store yesterday afternoon and had said. .that Keegan was gonna wear the necklace that PB and I got for her .. at the flea market on Sunday. I will post some pictures for all to see.. once Keegan show me some. Too bad.. i didn’t get a chance to take any pictures since she didn’t come in. Her parents were very excited and all… coz’ they had the video camera ready and all.. hahahha!!

I guess it is every parent’s dream to see their daughters in a prom dress and their sons in a tux..! As for chloe.. it will be a long, long time.. before she is in one. I hope to live long enough to see her in a prom dress.

As promised, this was the curry laksa paste that i bought in Halifax about 10 days ago.. when i was up in IWK for my medical check up. With this i made this yummy curry for my noodles. I hope that folks like me.. away from home.. can find this kinda paste to buy.. for it really isn’t bad at all. And knowing how much we miss our food from home.. it’s an alternative. Wished i had bought more though .. but never mind.. i’ll get more when i next go up to Halifax.

Well.. any movie that Diane Keaton is in.. has to be good right..?? Yup.. definitely.. your home loving kinda movie about a mother and daughter relationship. Too good to be true..?? Yup.. just too good to be true..! But everything in the movie was great.. the fashion.. the motivational moral.. of the show.. if anything.. just watching it.. because of Lauren Graham.. was worth it… and boy..! they made beautiful cakes.. and made it look so damn easy..!!

Watched this yesterday.. while putting the brat to sleep.. after work. Pretty hilarious.. but the woman version of Eddie Murphy was so ugly.. it’s hard to believe.. anyone wants to go near her at all. It’s a comedy.. and i’ve seen worst. So ya.. for a good laugh.. go ahead and watch it.

When i told you all that my FIL grew Baby BoK ChoI for me .. in his greenhouse.. because i wanted so much to eat chinese vegies.. i kid you not..! this is the second batch of Baby BoK Choi i have had .. this month… from my FIL. My MIL brought this in .. yesterday together with some aparagus.

You tell me.. how can i not love my FIL & MIL .. !! even my own parents donch treat me so good. Seriously.. my parents didn’t treat me so well.. as to grow vegies for me.

I was telling my FIL a few weeks ago.. that we asians love shallot.. and that they were expensive to get here. So my FIL explained to me.. that the shallots seeds were ex.. therefore.. shallots are expensive.. but he would grow a few just for me.. as at TREAT.. Now you tell me.. how can i not love my FIL..!!

Yes.. really Eeeeeewwwwkkk..!! it’s raining again..!! not the heavy kinda rain.. but really gloomy out here… and i here i was thinking with going to specially bring Grammie out here for babysitting.. because the brat misses her grammie so much.. they can go to the swing or play outside.. and then of course.. the weather .. have to be really sucky like that..!!

Either it’s too cold.. or it’s raining.. and wet.. thus making it hard to have a active kid.. and making it hard to drain those energy she has everyday.

Just started watching this yesterday.. and already i like it alot. In fact all the actresses and actors in it .. are all pretty popular. Will keep all posted about this tv series. But i can’t wait to watch Healing Hands 3 .. but haven’t been able to find it yet. Anyone got any good leads..??

PB at the flea market on Sunday for the first time at the Mariner Center. Unfortunately, the flea market didn’t take off the way we wanted to .. but it was alright i guess.. it was a fun way to get outta the store.. and the tables and tents were provided at a very reasonable price.

A customer was in yesterday.. looking at a small computer part that he needed. It was at 4 bucks each. And he asked PB .. if he was gonna have more of it.. since there was only a few left. And that he would only have money for it .. on the 20th of this month (baby cheque day). PB assured him that there should be more coming in.

After the customer left, PB asked me.. how does this ppl do it..?? not having even 4bucks.. on them.. to get something that they want..?? and having to wait for baby cheque day .. before they can buy something for 4 bucks..!!

Seriously, i donch know how one can live.. waiting for a baby cheque to buy a 4bucks thing. But even I have 4 bucks just in coins.. lying at the bottom of my handbag… not for emergencies.. but change that must have just dropped and accumulated .. during the months.

So yes.. we do meet all sorts of very .. very unique ppl around here.
