Yup.. been thinking of Anita Mui all day.. ! wonder why..?? oh.. actually it’s because i was searching for some cantonese songs .. to put on my blog.. some oldies.. but goodies. So of course ..Anita Mui came to my mind..!!! and then it struck me..!!! OMG..!! Anita Mui died.. in 2003. I was devastated..!!!!! when i first heard the news.. in 2003. I was very pregnant still with Chloe.. and i thought she would get well from her cancer.. but she left so quickly.. i was shocked.

I followed Anita Mui’s career from the very beginning.. and i’ve always loved her. She sings good.. and not like the younger celeb… or some celeb.. that have affairs..! She is low-profile.. yet high in her career. A good balance…! it is definitely our lost.. that she died so young..!

She is getting better with feeding herself these day. But i also noticed ..only for the food she likes… not otherwise. She was eating beef stew with a little rice .. but she loves the soup the most.

You would also noticed she stopped for abit.. because she thought i wanted a photo of her eating..! since she knew how photo crazy her mom is.. hahhaha!

Yup.. that was what the brat said.. as soon as she got into the store this morning.. hahahha!! these days.. i tell ya.. she is getting so smart.. and so amusing.

Big day for us today.. ! coz’ this is our first no tax sale in almost 8 yrs of business..!!

Yes… ppl started streaming in before we were even opened at noon..!! Wow..!!

Expecting a busy day.. and so far.. it has been busy..!!

The weather out there.. foggy..! Bummer..!! but i guess it’s best.. coz’ if it was sunny.. everyone would be camping.. or doing something else. So if this weather stays.. it would suit us fine today..

Yes.. this was damaged by a customer.. but she called immediately to let us know about it.. and that she had accidentally turned on the wrong switch.. on her stove .. where all the stuff that they were bringing out with them during the day was stored.

Well.. this was the result.. but you see .. Diana is so honest.. she not only called immediately.. she offered to pay for the damage. You would think that it’s the most logical thing to do right..?? But nope.. not so.. some “crooks” rent our movies and games.. and have no intention of bringing them back.. and should they lose it.. they find excuses not to pick up your call… when we do call to remind them.

My poor brat.. had been complaining that there is static in her ears. I doubt she really knows what static is.. but it’s because we always kenna shocked by static.. so she picked up the word.. i think she meant “pain” perhaps..??

Well.. it had been 2 days already.. so PB called her family doctor.. and got in to see him this afternoon. Apparently Chloe has wax in both ears.. and they are blocking her ear-drums..! I didn’t really notice it .. until this afternoon before she had lunch. But the doctor didn’t do anything about it.. and told us to use olive oil .. for the next 2 days.

I hope the ear wax will drop out by itself.. after softening it .. with baby oil (we didn’t use olive oil). Because the brat kept saying.. that she still got “static” in her ears.

Anyone got any suggestions..?? or tips.. to help a worried mom..?? Yes.. i asked my MIL .. but she said.. she “can’t remember”. Maybe that was the reason why i had to follow the book or go by the book religiously eh..?? .. hahhahaha!!

I had wanted to change my banner AGAIN.. coz’ we are having a few good sunny days. But there it was on the weather channel.. it says.. it is gonna be raining till next week Wednesday..!!!

Testing out Photobucket’s new features. But tell me.. if you donch think she is a cutie pie..?? Like i’ve always told everyone.. my greatest accomplishment in my entire life .. is giving birth to my daughter. Everything else pales against my lil’ monster.

I’ve just finished this a few days ago.. and the story had so much twist in it… it made me giddy.. hahaha!! But really not a bad movie at all.

My brat saw for the first time tonite.. the blog below.. and its contents .. and guess what she said..??? No prompting from me.. or anyone.. she just accidentally saw it.

My 3 yr old.. said.. “Eeeeeeeewwwkkk..!!” and tried to close her eyes with her hands.

My 3 yr old.. thinks the contents of the below entry was disgusting..! .. so how can a couple of adults think it was funny..??

I didn’t think it was funny at all.. i thought it was rather shameful.. and shameless…! what do you think..??

For 2 days now.. i didn’t have alot of bottles.. or nipples to wash .. because the brat refuses to drink her milky from the sippy cup .. since we ran outta liners. I thought that this time.. the transition would be much easier.. because she is a few months older.

Little did i know.. that my nipples free days are not over. We went out on a mission tonite after work to get her a sippy cup with a nipple on it.. to make the transition easier.. since she flatly refused to drink her milky from her sippy. But not having any luck.. we decided .. to give in.. and bought her some liners.. and promised to look for the sippy cup with a nipple another time.

You should have seen her.. when she drank her milky from the bottle.. !! boy !! she was sucking on it so hard.. and didn’t wanna let go at all.. made me feel like a “bad” mummy. I also gave in.. because i noticed.. that the brat didn’t have a full looking tummy anymore.. and all of a sudden.. looked alot taller..! She didn’t complained.. when she didn’t get her milky.. nor did she fussed.. she just didn’t want it in her sippy .. PERIOD.

But i feel she still needs the calcium in her milk… therefore.. i’m a wuss and gave in.

Keegan is by far the better sitter than I. She bought this for Chloe last nite.. and they painted the piggies. Chloe was so thrilled with it.. and even today. .she was asking to paint more. Sure it didn’t cost alot of money.. but the thought behind the action is truly admirable. Keegan would do things with the brat .. that even PB and I wouldn’t do. She teaches her french.. draw.. dance with her.. and bathe her… and do all sorts. Notices if the brat got spots.. or red marks on her body. So yes..! Keegan is definitely.. heaven sent for my brat.

I have been eating alot of bee hoon lately. It all started .. after i found out.. how easy it was to cook beehoon.

I have soupy beehoon.. fried beehoon.. beehoon with tom yum paste. I am gonna try satay beehoon soon..

Bee hoon is also cheap here.. i can find them at the dollar store. For fried beehoon . .i follow the recipe provided by Julia from AromaCookery. I sure missed her blog though..!

Unfortunately, for me.. this town donch always have shallots in the supermarket. Like tonite.. i wanted to fry some beehoon.. but there were none to be found. Yup.. i donch think this town like their shallots too much.. hhahhahaha!

For those who donch know what beehoon is .. beehoon is actually rice vermicelli are thin noodles made from rice, sometimes also known as rice noodles or rice sticks. They are a part of several Asian cuisines, where they are often eaten as part of a soup dish, stir fry, or salad. Rice vermicelli are particularly prominent in the cuisines of China and Southeast Asia, many of which feature a notable Chinese culinary influence (as per Wikipedia).

Really glad to see some “old” customers back at our store . .renting Wii games. These customers are not really “old” if you know what i mean.. just ppl whom we have known for a long time.. and have been customers of ours for a long time.

With so much competition around town.. PB had been buying Xbox 360 & Wii Games.. just to keep up and to keep ahead of the competitions. And these “old” customers do not just rent games for a day.. they rent them for a week… and a few games at a time… can’t complain about that eh..hahha!

We love the “old” customers.. because they are ppl who have already established.. themselves in our store.. and we know them. I mean.. you really donch wanna risk renting a 90bucks game to someone you haven’t seen in your life right..??

OMG….!! this is the most awesome movie.. i’ve just watched..!! please go watch it..!!! Hilary Swank .. was awesome..!!! Based on a true story..!! Awesome.. Awesome..!!

I finished watching it while feeding Chloe lunch.. so you can imagine.. how long it took her to finish her lunch.. right..??

We ran outta liners for the brat’s bottle.. a few days ago. Yes.. we have been using the ones that needs liner.. since she was born.. because she was very colicky .. when she was younger.. and we never changed it.. even though it is expensive. As first time parents .. we try to give the best to the brat.. and our philosophy is .. why changed it.. when you have a good thing going.. right..??

Anyhow.. since we ran outta liners.. we took the opportunity to try and wean the brat off the bottle once again. This is our 3rd time trying to. And of course.. this time.. she flatly refused the sippy cup… immediately.

I feel awful.. that she is missing her milky.. since she does love her milky alot… and drink it up when she had her bottle like an addict (trust me.. she looks like an addict.. kekekkee).

Tomorrow.. PB and I are on a mission to look for the sippy cup that has got a nipple on it. PB said.. it defeats the purpose right..?? I said.. “change slowly lah.. change slowly lah..!”

The lil’ brat wanted to go to Grammie’s house to sleep tonite..! after much fussing.. we agreed to let her call Grammie instead at 11pm.

She told her Grammie & Grampie .. “I love you .. Smoochie Poo” .. coz’ she was watching Monster Inc this afternoon at the store. And boy .. was she tickled..!! hahahhahahahah!!

Well.. apparently .. the landlord thinks that we are the luckiest store on Main Street.. because the whole block on Main Street were flooded with water.. some even had buckets laid all over their floors.

The Tim’s on the same street as us.. had to be closed .. for 3 weeks.. for renovation due to the leak. And we only had a wee bit… of rain coming in. This is all due to all the rain we had for the last few days.

Now if Walmart or other major stores.. starts closing down .. because of the rain.. and needs renovation for 3 weeks.. that would REALLY make us the luckiest store eh..?? Well.. one could always hope right..??? Or if it rained so much.. and someone’s car got flooded with water.. that it isn’t repairable.. now that would make us the luckiest store eh..?? Like i said.. one can always hope right..??

Yup.. she is still saluting the toilet bowl.. kkekekekkeekek!!

Here’s chloe on Easter Sunday.. she wanted to be a dude.. and not a dudette.. kkekkkeke!! The cap was newly bought .. the day before.. and usually i won’t buy such an expensive cap for her .. but since PB said.. it’s ok.. for her easter present.. so i let him pay for it. And she was pretty adamant about getting the cap. A pink one for that matter.

Yup.. it’s still very windy outside.. !! i had to fight against the wind.. to walk from the carpark to the store. But you know what…??!!?? it is so good to be out..! We have so much fun at the store.. where our regular customer/s would stop in just to chat.. and have fun.

Now that we are only opened at noon till 9.30pm everyday.. it’s alot easier on us.. and sure saves us alot of headaches. Keegan has been very steadfast.. and never demanded for any extra off days.. nor got ill either. So we are pretty much set.. and Chloe routine hasn’t been upsetted since December… so we are quite happy about it.

Oh.. btw.. !! she slept the whole nite.. last nite.. and when she woke me up.. she said.. “I SLEPT THE WHOLE NITE..!!” “i can go to the store today..!!” .. hahahahaha!! Yup.. she does know.. alot more than we give her credit for..

She is currently eating chips.. and drinking apple juice.. and watching toopy, toopy..!

These ducks were in the parking lot of the mall.. and was making themselves very comfy.. while we pulled out of another lot. It was just too funny..!!

This table was meant to be an Easter present for Chloe … but Zellers were sold out by the time we got it.. so we had a rain-check for it. We got this table .. a few days ago.. and Chloe just loves it.

Chloe & I are home today.. because she didn’t sleep the whole nite. And we had already told her.. that she wouldn’t be going to the store.. if she continues waking up a few times during the nite.

Plus PB had her for the whole day .. last nite.. so i wanted to give him a break too… since i’m having my menses.. and wouldn’t be of much help in looking after chloe at the store. And the brat is very clever.. she knows.. she can fuss in the store.. especially when there is customers around.. and so we have to give in to her.

On top of all the above.. the weather suxs..!! high winds.. and all.. !! it has been this way since last nite..!

Summer is never coming .. i think .. for us .. this year..! suxs..!! My FIL just planted down some peas.. yesterday..!! i think it will all go to waste now..!! bummer..!!

We were out shopping today.. after work.. before the mall closed at 6pm. Yup.. now that the mall is open on Sundays.. they closed early on Saturday.. and that doesn’t make sense to me at all…??? You would think they would choose like Mondays or Tuesdays to close early right..?? or even open at 10am daily .. instead of 9am.. to make up for the extra hours on Sunday.. but nope.. they closed on the most busiest day.. Saturday..! Makes completely no sense whatsoever.

Pardon my straying.. ! i promise you .. i’m not like this in real life.. kekekekek!! Saw some really nice and interesting summer clothings at the newly renovated Eclipse .. and i just would have to buy it… now that the brat is older.. and doesn’t need me to carry her all the time .. and i donch have to wear practical clothings.. anymore.. hahah!!

This summer.. i’ll be more fashionable.. i promised..!

And here i thought i could have a good rest this weekend.. coz’ Grammie went on a holiday with her line-dancing gals.. so we donch have to visit. But instead my menses came today.. 5 days earlier than last month.. and tomorrow would be the worst day of all…!! what a real bummer..!! and i hear tomorrow is supposed to be good weather too..!!

Just great..!!! We can’t just plan for anything.. can we..?? each time we do.. something is bond to happen to make us change our plans. But wait a min.. maybe it’s good that my menses came earlier.. coz’ i have to go up to the city . .for a medical on the 26th April. Oh well.. i guess looking at the positive side of it.. everything will be cleared by the 26.. and i can get all my test done on the same day.. woohoo..! Immigration .. here i come..!!

Not a bad show either.. started off pretty good as usual.. and then the story just dragged too long i think. But it is better than most of the period costumes shows that i’ve seen.

Quite funny this show.. and it does have a moral to the show. Can watch.. but donch expect anything spectacular.

Another one of those movie .. that i’ve forgotten to review. Shu Qi’s perfomance was not bad at all. Started off with a good story.. and then ending up .. to be lame again.. as always.. !

Finished watching this .. a long time ago.. but didn’t have time to review it. It started off. .as a good movie.. and then became quite boring.. with so much plotting..!! and as if .. ppl cannot see who is the evil one.. Worth watching you asked..?? yes.. definitely.. ! if you have nothing to do .. for the evenings.

My left eye had been twitching for a few days now..! and boy is it irritating.. or what !! you know lah.. we chinese “pan-tang” right..??

But apparently.. i’m not the only one having twitching eyes.. coz’ a few bloggers also having the same symptoms too .. just not too, too long ago. So here i’m wondering .. to be honest.. if it is just superstition on our part and our upbringing.. or is there a scientific reason for the twitching..??

Chloe got curls too…. but not as luscious as 妹妹 hair. She doesn’t like her hair tied up at all.. nor uses hair clips.. or hair band.. she just likes it messy .. and no combing please.

I had more wanton noodles.. with roasted chicken.. and the brocolli & scallops.. that i cooked the other nite… leftovers.

Hey.. folks..! wanna guess what this is..??

Had this yesterday after work.. coz’ PB had to go make a house call outta town.. so he didn’t get back in time.. to buy me food from outside. So when we got home.. PB had gone to Sobeys.. and bought a roasted chicken.. and i just made the noodles.. and the wood ears .. and mushrooms were leftovers from cooking beehoon the other day.

Yup.. I sure love my beehoons.. although alot of work.. but i’ve just discovered.. the joy of cooking with shallots..

PS : And yes.. i’m still getting my chinese food run in Halifax .. thru’ a few customers.. and an asian friend.. who owns another store in town. A new chinese restaurant is gonna be opened in town soon.. and i’ve already made friends with the owner.. so lets hope.. i either get great chinese food.. or another person for my chinese food run. Sorry to disappoint someone in this town coz’ i’m still getting all my city runs irregardless…hahahahaha!! Bite me..!

My 42 yrs old birthday cake .. made by Aunt Helena.. Every year since i’ve been to Canada.. either my MIL or Aunt Helena .. will make a cake for me.. they are just too kind to me. Even my own mum.. she doesn’t do it for me.. and sometimes would even forget when my birthday was. I am richly blessed by these 2 women..

Last nite after the brat’s babysitter left.. she was fussing up big time.. because she said.. she didn’t get a “kiss” from Keegan. PB tried to explain to her. .that she did already get a “hug” . .and had said her goodbyes. But the brat insisted.. that she didn’t get a “kiss”. Amidst all the fussing.. of course came the crying.. and sulking.

So in order to keep her mind off the “kiss” .. i told her to go help PB cook some rice for tomorrow’s lunch. She was very helpful indeed.. and so engrossed with it. .that she didn’t even turned to let me get a picture. And she had rice all over the floor and counter.

The Chens.. is what every family would like to emulate. Fun-loving, hardworking .. and god fearing folks. They have a super-duper smart daughter .. Maddy .. and a baby who had just arrived a few months ago. Tina & Joe Chen are the kinda parents every kid would love to have. Mummy Tina is sensible .. and Papa Joe is fun loving.

The Chens inspires me.. alot.. when i first became a mum. I watched Maddy grow up.. and then I saw Livy born. Nope.. we are not blogging friends.. i just read her blog alot… because i also envy both Maddy & Livy for having such wonderful parents.
