One Tonne Noodles
I had asked my MIL last year.. to give me some “one tonne” noodles for Christmas. And my MIL’s reply was .. “then i better start collecting the noodles now..since you need one tonne of it” .. kekkekekkee!!
Yup.. i made the wanton myself.. with minced pork and chinese mushrooms.. to lazy to put in water chestnuts.. and prawns…. and then i made some wanton noodles.. that Gerald had brought back for me.. during his recent trip up in the city. Too bad.. i donch know how to make char siew.. and i didn’t have any greens..
No baby bok choi yet.. since the weather is way too cold.. for my FIL to grow them yet.
Nevertheless, it was still yummy..!

it looks yummy! =) now i got craving for mee pok…
Hey..Gracie,

I’ve never make wontan or wontan noodles b4 leh…. maybe I should try one of these days… your’s looks yummy nonetheless!
Hey.. Angeleyes,
It is actually very easy to make wantan ..
and it’s alot healthier to do it ourselves. But then hor.. you can get it easily and cheap too.. where you are.. so the need for making it .. doesn’t justify all the work.. you have to put in it.. like we do here..
Thanks.. for saying my wanton looks yummy..

Hey.. CM,
Very easy .. peasy..
marinate the minced pork.. and put in whatever you want .. like chinese mushrooms.. water chestnuts.. or fresh prawns if you want.. mixed them around.. with sesame oil.. dash of pepper and dark soya sauce.. and yer all set.. to wrap..
and wrap as many as you want.. and freeze them..
it’s makes it easy .. when you are in a hurry.. and need a quick meal..

Hey..Gene,
Thanks for the tip..! about the yee foo meen. I never had the “tok tok” mee in singapore.. coz’ i think the stupid “garmen” thinks it is not clean.. so they donch allowed “tok tok” mee during my time already.

Thanks for your recipe! But what about the noodles sauce?
Hey..CM,
For the noodle sauce.. i used .. abit of pepper, dark soya sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, Maggi extra hot chilli sauce, ketchup and of course sambal olek to spice up the sauce.. and then i mixed it around.. with a wee bit of hot water from boiling the vegies.. just a spoonful or two… put noodles on top of them..and mix them around and there .. you have home-made wanton noodles. Now if only i know how to make char siew.. !!! we will be all set.. hhahaha!!
