Guess What..?? Part 2
Sorry… i took so long to post up the picture .. of what i cooked .. at 5am in the morning the other day. Was waiting for PB to upload the pictures from digi-cam to computer for me. So i’m pretty much at his mercy… kekkekee!!
Anyways.. this is it.. i boiled lotus root soup in the slow cooker.. and it only started at 1am.. in the morning.. because brat wouldn’t go to bed.. till about 12.30am. And Gerald had brought back lotus roots for me.. a few days ago.. and if i donch cooked it.. it might not last for any longer.. so “bo pian” gotta cook so late.. and then of course.. the brat woke up at 3 am .. and didn’t wanna go back to sleep.. so i let the soup boiled till.. she slept.
So yes.. i’m not crazy.. just fully utilizing my time.. while attending to the brat.. my miracle.. 
PS : I donch get to drink these good chinese soup alot.. coz’ you can’t buy lotus root or watercress here in “ulu” town. The last time i had lotus root soup was a long time ago.. at least 6 months ago.
oh. You must really miss a lot of Singapore local food. The lotus root soup looks yummy.

This is my all time fav soup! I used to cook at least once a week… with lots of peanuts!

My favourite too.. coz’ easy to cook.. kekekeke!! but i never had it with peanuts.. i prefer them with wolfberries.. red dates.. and dried scallops.. if i can find some..

We just had lotus soup too, 2 days ago when my mum was here. It’s my all time fav soup but am too lazy to cook them

Yup.. Gerald is “ang moh”. What i do is.. i call the grocery store up in Halifax.. to the boss lady.. when Gerald arrives there.. and she then put all the food i need/want and Gerald will pay for it.. and bring them back for me..
of course i pay him back lah.. kekkekeke!! But Gerald is such a good fella.. he refuses anything extras.. not even free movies..!! so kind eh..?? where to find such a good man..!! Wonderful .. wonderful friend..

That is why I think the best gift and something we always buy for the man’s colleagues when we travel to their country of work is chilli, lotsa of chilli and also bak kut teh mixes!

Ooohhh, what did u boil it with? Pork? I just made some yesterday hehehe. Poor u, i can understand if it’s hard to get lotus roots there

Yup.. i boiled it with pork riblets..
in a slow cooker..!! for a good few hours.. 
with wolfberries.. red dates.. and sweet dates .. wished i had some dried scallops to put in it though.. 
But i guess beggars can’t be choosers.. and gotta be grateful..
