Fireworks are selling like hotcakes here.. and so are all the games..!! woo hoo..!! and we are only open till 6pm this evening.. and we are at 4pm right now..

Good year ahead.. i hope.. with more advertising .. now that we are in our new store..

Men..! they sure have expensive taste.. and expensive toys..!! this is going at 1K but normally goes for 1.3K. As much as I would like to get it for him, I donch see why someone needs a 24″ monitor.. hahahah!! Anyhow, my in laws already contributed 50 bucks towards it.. so technically if we do get it.. it would only cost us 950 canadian dollars..

Well, we’ll see if Santa has some money left or not.. after the New Year..

I’m super kiasu when it comes to dressing up chloe in the winter.. or in any other season..! I have to make sure that she is really warm.. and all the bases covered.. because i have no wish to risk for her to get anything/sick at all.

Sometimes, i know Papa BoK thinks i am crazy.. but of course.. he lets me do what i want.. for i always tell him.. if he didn’t do what i want for chloe.. and if she ever gets sick.. he is on his own.. muahhahahhaha!!

Yup.. that’s right.. !! i’m super wicked.. when i comes to my brat’s health. You can’t blame a mother for trying right..?? hehhe !!

A very good movie indeed..!! with all the right stuff in it.. emotional, suspense, love… and death.. and more..
A definite “MUST” watch..!

A pretty interesting thriller. But maybe it is because i’ve watched too much movies.. i could predict the ending.. hahahha!! But definitely a can watch.

Brother Grimm we watched a few nites ago… and this came out i think last week.. on DVD. Not bad a movie at all. A can watch for sure.

This one is a thriller .. and I watched it like maybe a month ago. Almost forgotten all about it, till i saw a thriller for it today. Not a bad movie at all. A can watch.

Some of Papa BoK’s cousins. We are closest to Guy coz’ he is the only one in town. Yvon is in Halifax and Mark who is not in the picture is in Toronto.
We donch get to see each other very much.. but when we do.. we just pick up where we left off.

Chloe with her cousins and aunts. We found the red dress in her closet on Christmas Eve and we really do not know who bought it for Chloe. I think it is Godma Lynn.
But she fit in it.. and really looked like a princess.

As a family tradition, we all head out to Briar’s Lake once a year during boxing day. Papa BoK and I never missed it except once.. due to a very unfortunate circumstances.

But with Chloe here now.. we have to keep to the traditions.. so that Chloe can meet and know all her cousins.

This is Chloe’s cousin, Gabriel (pronounce in french please) from Toronto and his mummy, Andrea. Gabriel was a preemie and he is such a brave little boy (he had a few operations due to some complication during birth).. and so smart and so cute..! Both mummy and Gabriel are such strong ppl. It was so nice to finally meet Gabriel. Chloe had a lovely time with him. I seriously hope that Chloe and all her cousins.. can get to grow up together.. and know each other really well.

Hey.. Everyone,

I have so many photos and write up to follow up with.. and i’m gonna try and post all within the next few days.
Christmas was really good.. and I’ve had the best christmas ever.
Sarah’s mom came in personally to thank us for the small gift we gave her.. and that was very, very nice..!
I am really happy .. how things turned out.. this year for Christmas.. because finally i can placed all of Papa BoK’s extended family face to a name. I have 2 great employees.. and a great babysitter.. and not only that .. my in laws are the best.. wait till i tell you what they got me for christmas..!! hahahhaha!!! greatest gift..!!
Chloe had a great time.. and loads of love from everyone, from our employees and their extended family and customers and of course our own family. Wait till you see all the pictures i have of all her presents.. hahahah!!
Anyhow.. i promise to update with photos and stories to tell.

How i wish all parents of the ppl who worked for us is like Sarah’s mother. So nice, understanding and helpful.

A princess dress from a princess called Sienna. A box of gifts came by mail for Chloe from Toronto and they were from Sienna and her mom from Bringing up Bao Bao etc. .

They are very, very kind to remember Chloe on her birthday. Min is a fellow blogger in Canada and chinese whom I’ve admired ever since reading her blog. Not only is she smart… and her daughter Sienna beautiful, Min’s teaching and bringing up her lovely daughter is something that i would hope to do with my own.

I’ve always admired Min.. because nothing deters her.. with the upbringing of Sienna… wherelse i am #1 to be a paniker. And there is nothing nicer than having a friend.. who keeps your daughter in her mind.

Thank you .. Min..! Thank you .. lil’ princess Sienna..!! Your friendship is invaluable. One day I hope our daughters meet.. and become friends too.

Thanks to all our customers, friends and our steadfast workers Sarah & Debbie (they held the fort down for us) … we are having a great christmas! Business this Christmas is good despite the fact that we have more competition in our small town.

It was pouring the whole day .. thus making running errands fruitless.. !!
I can’t decide if i like the rain better or the snow..??!!!???

We were in the store.. and Chloe just turned and ran towards Sarah.. and screamed her name…… SaRaH..!!!
It was so funny .. and so unexpected..! So she does talk.. but not alot..!! and she does know.. but just pretending that she doesn’t..!

We bought Chloe a toddler’s bed today! Thanks to Grammie .. who contributed 50 bucks for it.. and also told us about it.. because the previous owner had gone on Swap Shop on Radio to sell it.
So a big thank you to Grammie…!!
Daddy had it all put together.. and Chloe was climbing up and down the new bed.. after a little hesitation at first. She loved it…!! now .. we gotta see if she would sleep in it.. hahhaha!!

Guess what came in for sale today at the store..??? Papa BoK’s christmas present..!!! bought second hand at a very good price..!! anyone can guess..??? Came with all the gear..and a game and a movie (spider man).

Arthur Bull was in our store.. !! He is campaigning to be the new MP in our area. He was very nice.. and all.. doing his walkabout i guess. Quite different from what i am used to from home..but it was nice.. he came in.. and we met him.

I didn’t get to sleep a wink last nite.. because my tummy was acting up. I only managed to sleep in the morning at 11am to 2pm… 3 whole hours..!!
And i didn’t go by the store today… because i didn’t feel too good.
I’m feeling much better now.. the tummy is a wee bit queasy still.. but otherwise.. i am alright..! It snowed the nite before.. and the roads was freaking nasty..!

It is currently , and we are expecting blowing snow tomorrow..!! Boy ..!! i am so not looking forward to all the snow..!! And the earliest that Ford has a loaner for my snow tire change is only for the 22nd December..!!
I had already nagged at Papa BoK before the snow came…. but he very the stubborn… say we have an all weather tire.. and no need to freak out.. so i didn’t force him to make an appt with Ford .. but i knew deep down inside..when the snow comes… and he is ready for the tire change..for sure.. we gotta wait long, long.
So in the meantime till 22nd December.. i have to live in constant worry of the car going into the ditch.. or we slamming into someone because the tire we have on does not have enough traction .. for the icy roads.
I digress..!

Donch you just love good service.. and good attitude..!! I tell you .. they have my loyalty for sure..!!

Do not forget .. i’ve stopped working for this kind man.. for almost 5 yrs now.. and yet.. every year.. he would send me christmas greetings.. without fail…!!
Initially, when i was first in this country… he would call.. with his christmas greetings from Spain.. to Canada.. and wish me Merry Christmas.. but he has since retired.. a few years ago.. but every christmas.. he would remember me.
Mr Tsingos is one of the best bosses i’ve ever had..! he is so good to all the employees.. and he treats us all so well. He doesn’t even have the arrogance of some bosses i know. He treated me very well.. and i will never forget his kindness.
During my few year working with him….. it was the best time of my life..! If i ever work again.. back in Asia .. i would want my new boss to be like him.
And no.. he doesn’t know about my blog.. hehhe!!

My daughter is Ms Pukey.. therefore I should be called Mrs Pukey..! I puked big time tonite.. !! and i donch know why.. !!

Having posted the IWK letter.. i also realised.. how important it is to let the ppl around you .. know how much you appreciate them.. for their thoughtfulness.. and including us in their life. This was what i did ..after Dominic’s birthday party.. i sent an email to his parents.

2 months ago, i sent out some 2 yrs worth of Heinz Labels to the children foundation of the IWK hospital in Halifax in conjunction with the “Save Lives, Save Label” program.

To Whom-It-May-Concern,

A month and a half ago, i sent someone up to Halifax for me.. to deliver in person.. 2 yrs worth of Heinz Label with conjunction with the Save Labels, Save Lives program for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

I am not looking for any thank you .. but a simple note of acknoweledgement for the box of 2 yrs worth of labels would have been much appreciated. Unfortunately, to date .. i have yet to hear from anyone from IWK with regards.

I am therefore inclined to believe that my effort to save the labels for the above program for the past 2 yrs was a wasted effort .. since an acknowledgment wasn’t even given.

I am truly disappointed.. and sad.. with the inaction.

Thank you so much for your note. Your comments have definitely given
us a bit of a wake up call.

I must first thank you for your donation of the Heinz Labels but I must
also apologize for not acknowledging your donation of these labels to
the IWK.

We used to have a system in place many years ago where we sent out a
letter to all of the donors of Heinz Labels and we’ve obviously dropped
the ball with this process.

Because of your note, we will be putting this system back in place to
ensure that friends of the IWK are recognized for this donation.

There are no excuses and I’m not going to try to make any here but I do
want you to know that we do appreciate your donation and that because of
the Heinz label program we do recieve upwards of $5000 from Heinz for
the labels and box tops.

I hope that this doesn’t deter you from donating the labels in the
future.

Again, my apologies for overlooking the importance of these types of
donations.

Ok .. my point is.. a simple.. simple acknowledgement .. is all i needed. Thank you very much .. Ms Elizabeth Smith. You made my day..!

I got up only at 2pm.. and frankly speaking.. i got alot done. Cooked 2 different meals .. for Papa BoK & the brat.. and cleaned up our bedroom, vacuumed part of the house.. while Papa BoK did the rest.
I even mopped the floor..and clean the bathroom.. and changed some of the table clothes.. and more cleaning up in the kitchen.
Watered the plants.. and did more dishes.. after i cooked for myself. So yes.. we did alot.. but the christmas tree is not up yet.. due to the fact.. that the brat didn’t wanna go to bed.

The brat had some grapes for the first time..!! YaY again..!! at first she didn’t wanna try any.. but after watching me eat like a dozen.. she tried like 1 and then another..and then another.. but refuses more. But it’s a start.. and i can’t complain.. as long as she is eating something..

Put up by Papa BoK today..at our lawn.. ! YaY!! now i no need to tell ppl that i’m a chinese jew.. hahah!!!
