Long Hours
One of our worker was sick yesterday. She called us up at 9am in the morning, when her shift only starts at 5pm to inform us that she was sick and can’t come to work. Although i appreciate the enthusiasm, I do not appreciate that she woke my brat up at 9am when she had only gone to bed at 2.30am the nite before.
Anyhow, we have 3 part-timers and no one was able to fill in shift. What a bummer! So my poor brat had to suffer with us.. and we had to change all our plans for yesterday.
This evening, the same worker called the store again and informed my other worker that she wouldn’t be able to work again tomorrow.. and we made sure.. that she know not to call us at home at 9am by calling her first at her home.
The joys of owning your own business eh..??
jaggling the staff schedule is really a big problem.
when I was working in the bead shop, even though I had been promised to off on Sat and Sun, and holiday. I ended up go back to the shop because of the part-time “part” their working “time” off with their friends, and decided not to show up to work.
