Hot & Sour Soup
My spouse decided that we shouldn’t eat burger today and try something healthier.. so we decided to order chinese.
I haven’t ordered Hot & Sour soup for a long time.. because it was quite disappointing the last few times i had it. So i decided to be brave today .. and give it another chance. I ordered 2 egg rolls for me.. and another 3 for my spouse. for that was what he wanted. Take-out bill came up to $11.85.
Unfortunately, i was once again disappointed by the soup and the service.. for they again over charge me for the food we ordered.
I didn’t take any pictures.. but the soup was miserable.. and watery .. and had no substance..! what a bummer..!!
Luckily i had tom yum noodles.. which is way less expensive.. for dinner and i’m determined never to order at this chinese place again.

i don’t know if it’s the same soup which happens to be my favorite, the “soup pekinoise”. it’s sour and a bit spicy in taste. i even tried to make it at home and as per my husband, it tasted the same, tho i wasn’t really that convinced. hehe

do they sell tom yam paste/cubes in asian grocery shops there? get one and you can prepare tom yam soup as and when u like it with fresh greens/herbs and seafood!

unfortunately, we donch have an asian grocery store here.. the nearest one is in halifax.. 4hrs drive away. Bummer right..??
