My spouse said he liked my pineapple rice more than my udon.. so i cooked more rice than udon these days.
At long last..!! he finally liked something asian..!!
I assure you .. my brat is gonna learn how to eat authentic chinese/malay food.. like wanton noodles.. Hananese chicken rice.. satay.. laksa, meesiam.. tofu.. !!
And of course.. DURIAN..!!!!

We started watching this movie by Stephen Chow .. it was hiliarious.. not the movie. .but the setting.. !! so corny.. !! I haven’t finished watching it.. because i had to watch it in English.. and i really .. really wanna watch it in Cantonese.. ! so when it isn’t so popular at the store anymore.. i’ll bring it home and watch it again in Cantonese.
I do enjoy it…but just do not enjoy watching it in English.. it is just not the same.

My brat had her first real rice this evening together with her baby food. After feeding her .. her normal food.. i let her eat some of our pineapple rice i had made earlier.
She didn’t chomp quite a fair bit down.. but i didn’t wanna push my luck.. so i finished the rest of the rice for her.
But at least she is trying.. so that’s all i ask..

Shopping at Littlewoods: Hazard to Credit Health dated 02 May 2005

I had been meaning to post this for a long time… but i keep pushing it back .. because of the many commitments i had. But i think .. i should give credit when credit is due.
Sometime in May .. when i saw a blog from YL telling us his story.. i was a bit annoyed .. with Littlewood too. I wrote them a letter on behalf of YL . to plead for their understanding and restoring credit for YL .. for it is only the right thing to do. Unfortunately, to this day .. i’ve yet to hear from Littlewood.
In comparison, i encountered a small incident at our local grocery store - Sobeys… yet their response were prompt and professional. More stores should have employees like Mark Mckinnon and Vanessa B. I was one unimpressed customer.. who turned around.. and became a very impressed customer by the emails sent by these two employees of Sobeys. And because of this .. my loyalty will always be with Sobeys. Perhaps, Littlewood can take a lesson or two .. from Sobeys employees eh..??

Today all Singaporean is celebrating National Day. This year Singapore celebrates 40yrs of independence.
As a Singaporean living abroad, I cannot help but feel nostalgia towards this island i grew up in. Yes.. i miss Singapore tremendously! I miss the vibrant of the city.. the ppl.. the food.. and most of all….. the feeling of ownership. Darn..!! i even miss the gahmen..!!
I’ve been in Canada for more than 4yrs now .. but Canada is my second home.. wherelse Singapore will always be my home.
I miss home alot…these days. Especially now that i have a little brat …. i wanna show her .. all the best things in the world.. and where best would I be able to do it… but in my home country. I wanna bring my brat home to meet you, Singapore.
Happy birthday.. Singapore..! You will always have a special place in my heart.
