Happy Days are here again..??!!???
Grammie came to babysit today all afternoon…!! It’s a Tuesday and after babysitting.. grammie went bingo.
Whenever we say “Grammie” to my brat .. she goes to the door and look for grammie.
Today while going to fetch grammie to babysit .. chloe was so much better with Grampie too.. giving him a hug and all.. and went straight up to Grampie.
Chloe had a great day with Grammie.. but cranked right up.. after grammie left for bingo. She is always good for Grammie.. but naughty for us. So i guess grammie gotta come babysit more often eh..?? Kekekekekekkekekeke!!!!

Grampie delivered Chloe’s swing this evening and Chloe even gave Grampie a hug and a kiss..!! now isn’t that something..!! I’m actually very pleased that Chloe did that.. coz’ i know .. my FIL loves chloe plenty.

Anyhow.. once the backyard is done .. we will put it up.

Watched this last nite .. while my puter was being formatted .. and restored. Luckily my spouse so considerate eh.?? and got this for me to watch. Or i’ll be bored to death… hahaha!!
Movie not bad lah.. ! but nothing to shout about to be honest. Alot of shooting.. and just bullshitting.

Last week, i was telling everyone about my swooning spell. And that i had made an appt to see my family doctor.. Dr Mikhail.
Well .. i’ve seen him.. a few days ago… and started on my diabetic medication.. but on only very low dosage. I am also supposed to go for full blood work .. AGAIN..!!! and do a EKG..!!
I donch think i am in bad shape.. just that the food that i’m eating.. is just not helping me any.. with my diabetic condition. Like when i was in Asia.. i can get steam vegies anytime.. or just soup noodles.. by just 2-3 bucks. Over here… just cooking for one person .. is a real drag. So i usually opt for convenience and eat fast food… wherelse before fast food was like once a month. My diet changed, the climate.. and everything else.. like no shopping here.. coz’ there isn’t really much to do.. so no shopping means no exercise right..??
I’m not blaming my condition on the environment here.. just that it isn’t really helping that’s all.
BTW, i am told.. i have to stop drinking juice too. Ok.. !! my life is officially over..!!! hahahhaha!!!

I went in to ask them, if they serve authentic Szechuan since that was what they had advertised at the front of the restaurant. But was disappointed.. when the wait staff told me.. that it is not authentic.. because they cannot get chinese vegies in Digby…??!!!??
But she assured me.. that the szechuan anything is quite spicy.. and that beef and ginger sounds is authentic. Hahahahah!!!

World shortest lighthouse..?? we are not sure.. but it is definitely small and short. Located at Gilbert’s Cove. It’s just too beautiful there..!! A picnic and a day of lazing around is the best… on good summer weather.

We went to Digby County today for a day trip. We had a wonderful time.

I had the worst moment of fear last nite when Chloe woke up at 3.10am. I woke up swooning but thinking it was because i got up too fast because Chloe was screaming… i still went ahead to pick my brat up from her crib.
Got her milk and changed her diapers.. and all this time having cold sweat run down the nape of my neck.
I quickly put her down on the floor and wanted to lay down and rest.. but as soon as my head touched the floor.. it swooned so bad.. i wanted to throw up. I quickly got up.. and got my spouse to wake up.. so that he can take care of Chloe.. but chloe was already screaming and crying .. because i left the room.

I made my MIL cook some fresh corns for me on Sunday. But these were too ripe.. and weren’t as good as the ones i had 2 weeks ago.

The seafood udon that i made today .. turned out really, really good. The prawns were fresh.. and they were huge..

This is one of the booboos Chloe gives to mummy all the time.. by throwing stuff at mummy. Daddy didn’t like it so much.. because it hurt alot.. and the brat was about to get spanked last nite… for throwing a heavy object on mummy. But of course she didn’t do it on purpose or anything.. she just didn’t know that i was gonna hurt.

Definitely chick flick.. but kinda slow for me. But then it’s jenny in it.. so gotta watch lah..!! Quite funny .. but not so realistic leh.. but can watch lah of course..
Psst.. i watch this last nite.. after chloe went to bed… enjoying a cold soba with loads of nori .. and some tofu. Yums…!!

These are probably the boats that went out in the waters from 6am to 6pm to get us the shark. And from the looks of it.. the ppl in the boat are pretty comfortable .. with their boats… one was even cleaning up the BBQ griller.

Live music at the waterfront. Chloe was with grammie and we all took a walk at the waterfront.. while daddy had to work. The music band that played was pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed the music. Too bad daddy couldn’t come, he would have loved it too.. his kinda music.. loud and rock..!! hahah!!

A Mako Shark caught during Shark Scramble that is held yearly in town. This one weighs about 110pounds. Some boats were disqualified because they came in after 6pm.
Two days of fishing in two boat categories - fast and slow. 15 knots and under places you in with the slow boats, over 15 knots fast.

Eddie, this one is for you. I didn’t managed to take alot of bikers this year… they seems elusive this year. As soon as I saw this bike.. i thought of Eddie from Cookengr2.
Eddie reminds me of the carefree and gung-ho life i used to live before coming to Canada.

Rudders is a seafood and bar place. I hear they serve a good selection of seafood & play live music too at nite. This resturant is one of the most popular places for tourist, therefore you can expect tourist prices for this place.
And they also have an open deck where customer can look at all the happenings at the waterfront during summer.

The weather was too beautiful today for all the activities happening at the Waterfront. We had hope to be able to join in some of the activities.. but because of work commitment with one worker calling in sick, another had a wedding to attend and yet another not reacheable due to his work commitment with another place. We ended up working for 10hrs solid.
We are very blessed that my in-laws came to our rescue and babysat my brat for us, otherwise, my poor brat gotta be in the store with us for 10hrs .. and that’s not good at all.
Not impressed with the situation that we were in at work today.

Some entertainment at the waterfront while waiting for the Sharks to come in. This young man sang very well. I was pleasantly surprised.

This is a mobile fast food train situated at the waterfront, where activities are held during all summer. It is open only seasonal. They sell hotdogs, sandwiches and ice cream here and they are pretty expensive and food is nothing to shout about.

Sidewalk sale today at the waterfront because of Shark Scramble festivities held yearly here in this small town.

Well.. since FF from Kuishinbo ~ Meow ~, posted in her blog about eating at Quiznos Sub, my spouse and I decided to try it too.
Verdict ..?? Very good.. although i would have much preferred the open concept of Subway.. where you could see and choose what gets into your sub.
They really have alot of meat in the subs. Will i go again…??? i think i might.

Dear Chloe,

You turned 20mths old yesterday and mummy had almost forgotten about your milestone. Wow..!! you are a big gal now… !! no more telling ppl that you are 19.5 months old.. !! in another 4 mths.. you will be 2 yrs old.
You are eating so much better now.. although quite reluctant to try any new food.
You still love your french fries and udon. These are the only 2 things you would eat without any hesitation.
You are pretty opiniated these days and wouldn’t even let mummy have a few minutes of free time, if i am around. No one is good enough eh..??
You haven’t been sleeping good still but for the last two nites .. you slept all the way.. which is truly amazing.
You went to the beach for the first time last month and refuses to walk on the beach at all… so frightened you were .. clinging on to daddy and mummy for your dear life. It is almost too funny seeing you this way.
I think you’ve grown taller .. but because you love to jump and climb and fall all over the place… you have bruises on your legs.. that mummy do not like at all.
You continue to amuse our customers at the store.. and they never fail to say how lovely and cute you are.

I’ve only been in this theatre once in all my 4yrs here. This place is so 70s..!! It’s not even like the Rex Theatre from home. It’s only like .. Toa Payoh Cinema during the 70s. But by end of this year.. we will be having a new movie theatre here in this small town. Maybe.. then my spouse and I can catch some really good movies .. and go paktohing.. eh..??

So appropriate donch you think..?? I bet the husbands would love Mr Leonard..for his insightful contribution to society!!

Chloe fell down this afternoon while at the mall. She insisted on holding the huge bag of movies that we had bought for the store… and i guess she just tripped and fell.
She was pretty upset about it .. for she bled. Daddy cleaned it up .. when we got into the car and cleaned it up more when we were at the store and put a bandaid on it.
Poor baby..!!

This is my diabetic juice. When you are diabetic like i am.. you donch really need anything special. Just need to improvise and make use of what you already have wisely. Ppl drink juicy by the tumbler.. but i need to drink it this way.. which is fine by me.
A cup, a little bit of juicy, loads of ice.. and loads of water. Ta-da..!! my very own diabetic juice. I do indulge at times too.. like when i am at my MIL’s .. i have her pepsi.
For your info, my brat drinks juice this way too.. a little juice.. and loads of water.

Chloe’s first picnic table. It was on sale..!!! Yes.. yes.. mummy is el cheapo!!! Anyhow i had to buy it since it was so cheap. Only $12.99!!! We even got to see Grammie at Superstore where we bought the picnic table.

Men do not need to read this.. hahah!! but ladies.. i highly recommend this .. because the new panty liner is shaped better for better coverage. Tried and tested by yours truly.

While others snack on chocolate or chips. My favourite snack is ice cubes.. ! Yup.. you heard me correctly.. i love to suck/chew on ice cubes.
Unfortunately, my spouse hates it .. when i eat them.. coz’ the sound irritates him.. he said. But i can’t help it.. i just love my cubes.

These corns are just picked from my in-law’s garden and they are the best corns ever. I waited all year .. just to get a taste of these juicy and sweet corn. How fresh can it get..?? just picked …. and straight into my tummy..!! I had 4 tonite..!! all time high. Never had so many corns in one sitting. That was how good it was…!! Yumms..!!

These two trees were planted by my spouse and his brother, Richard .. when they were a kid… about 9 yrs of age. The trees were like seedling..!!! and they just kept growing. I think it is really wonderful .. something they can remember doing .. when they are older.. and showing off the trees. I told my FIL, we have to find a tree for Chloe to plant besides her daddy’s tree.

We’ve just finished watching this a few days ago. I can’t wait to see Season 4. Love it….!!

My little brat.. outta nowhere wanted to wear sunglasses. Pulled me to the sunglass rack.. and insisted on having one. Wore it like for a few mins.. and amused us.. and took it off again. And yes.. i live for moments like this! I so adore my brat..!!

Chloe had some home-made spaghetti with minced chicken & mushrooms again. This time.. i blended it .. so that she can eat more of it. She did eat it.. but it took quite some time to get her to eat her first mouthful.. coz’ she knew i was giving her something different.. when i blended it.
She didn’t finish it.. but that’s alright. Took an hour to feed her!!!

Nice movie.. ! Angelina Jolie looks absolutely gorgeous.. but i didn’t like the plot at all. I mean.. how could you not know or suspect anything.. after 5 or 6 yrs of marriage..!!
But it was fun to watch it.

Remember me and my eyebrows..?? well.. i’m pretty anal about it.. and no matter what .. i need to get my eyebrow waxed regularly.
Well.. i’ve been trying to get an appointment at the beauty salon for the last 2 mths .. to get my eyebrow waxed .. but in vain..!!
So finally, i decided.. hell with it.. i’ll do it myself.. with some wax strip .. that i can purchase from a pharmacy.
You guess right.. 40 yrs .. and 1st time.. i’m doing my own eyebrows.. hahahha!!
How did it turned out..?? not bad .. not bad.. at least i know.. i am not as bad as i thought i would be.. with stripping the wax on my eyebrows.
So from now on.. i’ll probably save some money.. woo hoo..!!

I donch know if i’ve shared this before… but i make a mean and healthy version of spaghetti. On top of it.. it’s very easy peasy.
I use only minced chicken and while cooking the chicken.. i take out all the fats that comes with the juice……and throw it out. Add mushrooms.. loads of it.. and then pour in the Raju sauce and simmer.
I then boil a pot of water.. and cook my spaghetti. Once done, i eat my home-made pasta with loads of tabasco sauce.
Shredded parmesan cheese is optional.
I love eating my home-made spaghetti, it’s easy, cheap.. and really healthy. And i must say it tastes really good too.

Yes.. definitely some brownie points for my spouse.
Yesterday, he mopped the floors for me… and this morning.. he made me breakfast of bacon, hashbrown and eggs.
And he promise me French toast tomorrow morning. Woo hoo..!!

Sheela .. this is for you… You’ve asked what Toonie Tuesday was some time ago. Most Tuesdays my spouse and I will try and get KFC chicken.. because it is really cheap on tuesdays.

Chloe pee pee on the store’s floor this evening. This was the first time. Her diaper wasn’t full or anything.. just the way she was standing .. and the short/skirt she was wearing i think.
We were quite surprised and so was she i think.. hhhahaha!!
Oh well.. glad it wasn’t poop that’s all.. hahhaa!!

A year ago today, I started my blog at blogspot. The reason for wanting to start a blog .. was mostly because of my brat .. and being overwhelmed with being a first time mom .. i just wanna write everything down.. and to voice out what i was going thru’… in the bid to help myself remember things.. and also help my daughter … when she have a baby in the far future.
In October 2004, we hired a new worker .. and i made the biggest mistake in my life .. by sharing my blog address with her. Unfortunately, she used it against me.. and we never heard the last of my blog.
Subsequently, after many months of boo-haas … i was still having trouble .. with my old blog due to a very innocent photo i posted of my neighbour’s son. I finally decided to close down my blog at blogspot and moved everything to a new blog.
Having said that.. i decided on typepad because it was a paid blog.. and i could put a password.. to my blog and make it completely private.
But that really wasn’t what i wanted.. coz’ i wanna share everything .. about my life here in Canada.. with my friends and family from home .. but also wanna keep out sensitive subjects that deals with this small town that i am in.. meaning i wanna rant.. but do not wanna hurt anyone’s feeling… and go into warpath with anyone.
So anyhow.. Lilian - 5X mom recommended blogsome. I love it.. it is really awesome but i still do not feel safe … because it’s a free blog, for i may lose everything anytime. And honestly tech supports suxs..!
Therefore, i am currently searching for a place to host my blog .. that have great tech support.. while i can pen down all my thoughts and happening in my life.
Any recommendation besides.. one by Lilian..??

Cousin Brian from Toronto is in town since Sunday. Unfortunately, we have yet to see him … nor know when he is gonna be in town.. for he has a lodge in Hectanooga.
Cousin Brian is Godma Lynn’s younger brother. This trip.. i understand that he brought his g/f from Philippines.
It is always good to meet someone from Asia. So hopefully, Cousin Brian be nice..and introduce us… for sometimes he can be a very private person.

My spouse’s cousin, Lindsay was in the store a few days ago too.. with her b/f. I didn’t even know it was her..!! till she came to the counter to say hi.
She definitely lost alot of weight.. and looked so pretty .. and trendy… well not that she didn’t look pretty before.
Lindsay is an identical twins. Allison is her twins and i haven’t seen them all summer. I’m glad i didn’t miss lindsay at the store.. for we just happened to go in the store .. for fun the other nite.
I didn’t have much cousins … therefore.. i wanna make sure.. that my brat is close to hers.
PS: i didn’t have pictures.. because i didn’t bring my camera. Bummer..! To be honest, Lindsay look like a movie star .. from the 60s..!! Very classic look.
